Date night with my wife at potters offered amazing Mexican dinner, superb atmosphere and really enjoyable music.
Very loud and room about 10 minutes for a server to ask if we’ve been helped. Also never received a refill on my water that I asked for repeatedly. Food was okay. Chorizo tacos were way overly salted. Margaritas were great, however.
Well they don't take OpenTable reservations anymore. So when we got there they said they would put us at the top of the waiting list that was roughly 15-30 minutes wait. So we left. Why have they not cancelled OpenTable if they are not honoring the reservations?
Great ambiance on the balcony and awesome service. The tacos were tasteless and $4 each! $8 for a titos and cola was a bit steep as well. I couldn't even taste the vodka at all. Neither could my friend.
They need a better cook to improve the AL pastor.
Great service and atmosphere. Sat upstairs on the balcony which was nice. Drinks were good but food was not very good at all. Jalapeño poppers were terrible and also a la cartel steak tacos were pretty bad. Our waitress was fantastic though which is the only reason I give it three stars instead of two.
FYI: THIS RESTAURANT DOES NOT ACCEPT RESERVATIONS FROM OPEN TABLE! NEEDS TO BE DELISTED.
Went for dinner and to listen to live music in the back patio. The weather was perfect, food and drink were great, and the band was fantastic. I would recommend going to see Prairie Station if they play there again. Great Country band!
Great meal! Enjoyed everything
Great food, bartender was waiting on us and seemed to forget us for a long time after we sat
The food was below average...the service was great. My husband used to get the Christmas Tree burrito and remembers it being delicious. He was throughly disappointed. I mentioned my brother was super hungry and his food was ready in mins. Our server was great! Wouldn’t go back for food.
Made reservations for 6 and never was it stated they could not be made for outside tables when booking. We ended up having to wait 50 minutes for a table and in the process witnessed two other groups of six walk in and get seated at two bar tables and upstairs - never was this offered to us yet this what we ended up with. So not a good reservation experience. So make sure if you make reservations you know outside tables are not available- so you too, are not disappointed.
They did not accept our open table reservation - told us the no longer did it and its too hard to get off the open table web site
It was crowded and hence the reason for the reservation. Had to sit at bar vs a table
i think on the weekends there is not reservation after nine, its all open table.
We like taking the kids here because of the speedy service. We’re in and out before the two year old loses interest.
They should mention on their website that reservations are for inside seating not for outside seating. I didn’t find this out till the day of when I was checking for my reservation.
Perhaps the worst margaritas we have ever had. We ordered a pitcher and they tasted like flat soda with zero tequila. Potter’s has been a staple in Naperville for years and we have been frequent customers for more than 30. Unfortunately some things are not the same. Our waitress was cheerful and the food was mediocre, disappointed.
Celebrating a birthday that wasn't acknowledged by our waiter. Good food. Air
conditioning wasn't doing the job. Great entertainment, we had fun!
Great Tequila and overall fun environment on the patio.
We went on Mother’s day. We waited for at least 10 minutes for a server to come to our table. My margarita tasted like soap and I sent it back. The tortilla chips didn’t taste fresh. Our food was cold when it arrived and had no flavor. We noticed another table was complaining and sending their food back too. Aside from the bad food and drinks, there was also no mention of Mother’s Day. Surprised and disappointed in a place that has been around for quite a while.
My only complaint is I made a reservation thru Open Table for May 5th about 3 weeks in advance. I called Potter’s Place to check my reservation and the hostess said she didnt think they were taking reservations for that night because it is such a busy night. She would check with the mgr and call me back-never did. I called a week later and left a voice mail message and no one returned that call either. Meanwhile, I am email and text notices about my reservation. We showed up, no reservation, got squeezed into a table by the bathroom, which wasnt ideal. I love Potters Place, its really fun. Im just disappointed over the non communication from the restaurant.
Our host/ server was terrific! Very friendly. The food was good.
