Second time having dinner at pot au feu… the mushroom soup is spectacular.
Great Food and Wine
Nice place, great atmosphere. Very expensive.
Filet Mignon was very tasty. Wish they had better Bourbon choices.
It was my first visit, and it was exceptionally good. Server was wonderful, and owner was very personable. My only disappointment was that they did not have their featured dish, but it's a reason to return. The food we had was EXCELLENT.
The food and service were excellent. I will definitely recommend the Pot Au Feu.
Hadn't been here since start of COVID and found it to be as delightful as I remembered. Food, ambience, service, COVID precautions all first rate. Menu as varied and quintes-sentially French as always. Very nice wine selection.
Food was meh.....filet was overdone. For the price, we expected a much better meal. Server was great and owner was very personable, but overall was disappointed with the experience.
Everything was prepared beautifully and tasted exquisite. The wait staff was attentive without being overbearing. The only downside was the noise and the temperature. It was very warm and we had a hard time hearing each other at the table. Even so, it would not keep us from returning again. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience
Great as always. No complaints…
Outstanding evening with attentive personal service. Delicious offerings. Wide variety. A must try in Providence.
Amazing experience! A hidden gem.
Stop asking me. I don't care.
Excellent as always. Love what they did with the cute glass door petitions between tables. Made a nice cozy dining area and really cuts down on the noise level. The food is always amazing. Had escargot and the duck.
Great food great service great space will go back will recommend
Incredible food and atmosphere. Our favorite restaurant now
Dined there last night for my 11th anniversary with my wife nd another couple. The service and food was absolutely beautiful and delicious. We had a very nice table as we disappeared into our dining experience. What a wonderful evening and thank you Bob for speaking with us. Hats off!
The food is absolutely amazing. The new look is WOW! Service is still excellent.
The dining experience at this wonderful place is special every time! The attention to detail and quality is unmatched. Bob and his team provide a spectacular dining experience that makes you want to return again and again!
The was delicious and the service was excellent. The decor was beautiful. It felt like we were in Paris in our own private room.
Our experience at Pot au Feu exceeded our expectations, again. The food, the service, and the ambiance were exceptional. Having a server who is knowledgeable with food allergies takes all the stress out of dining out. Thank you so much! We cannot wait to return.
First time and will definitely go back! Server was excellent and gave great recommendations, food was amazing! Owner, Bob, checked in and warmly welcomed us. Loved the whole experience! Highly recommend!
Service was excellent! Food was done with care, delicious!
This was a wonderful spot for a date night. We have been there a few times and it NEVER disappoints! Escargot was fantastic and fragrant. Steak Frites was tasty and cooked to perfection. The Beef Bourgogne was absolutely amazing. And let’s not forget dessert: the creme brûlée and citron mousse were fantastic. Owner is friendly and always there to greet and check. It’s a true treasure! Our server, Hilary, was great!!
We had an amazing anniversary dinner. Service was exceptional. Food was out of this world. Reminded me a lot of restaurants I. France.
Date: May 2021: Authentic French food/cousine at realistic prices and generous serving sizes. Not one mouthful was anything less than amazing. Highlights are blue fish pate, escargot, duck breast and scallops baked is a wondrous combination of sour cream and the smokiness of bacon. And last, but certainly not least, is the Creme Brulee, which is so silky and just sweet enough to make you want it to last forever. The basement dinning room is cozy, charming, intimate and very comfortable. The service is very attentive without being interruptive and the owner conveyed a warm welcome by visiting each table briefly. We will be back many times. Truly a most beautiful dinning experience!
We had w wonderful dinner. The food was excellent and service was very good. Can’t wait to go back!
In this new world, as we hopefully near the end of the pandemic - I realized this past Saturday night that I could not have been in a safer restaurant. As I went to open the door to introduce a friend to a spectacular restaurant I've been patronizing for decades, I saw it... anti-microbial tape on the door. I wasn't even in the restaurant, and Bob Burke had thoughtfully began protecting his guests with some pricey, and fancy tape to make us safe. Thanks Bob, for taking restaurant safety to the next highest level!
The service.... as always ... friendly and familiar.
The food... was spectacular. We began with the mushroom soup, accompanied with the warm French bread, and salad... wonderful. Our entrees were Boeuf Bourguignon and Coquille St. Jacques, and we finished with Crème Brulee. Everything was perfect.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the take home portion of my entrée reheated beautifully. I got to revisit the perfect taste of the prior evening in my lunch!!!
When we choose to patronize a restaurant, we are supporting a cause. I am comfortable saying that Pot au Feu is the safest restaurant in Rhode Island, and the food is spectacular.
My guest, who is new to RI, and has listened to me rave about "The Pot" for months during the lockdown... was very impressed.
Amazing as always!
It was truly a special night. The food was delicious and the service was attentive and excellent. I will be back for sure!!
The attention to detail is impeccable. Bob Burke has a gem with this restaurant and ensures that each guest feels at home.
I was disappointed. The bouillabaisse wasn't as savory as I've had in other places. I really didn't care for the vegetable tartine and I am a big lover of pate's generally. Our waitress was attentive and I/we enjoyed the interaction with the owner (?) or manager. But, after reading the history, and going there for the first time on a special birthday meal, I really thought it did not live up to the reviews.
Everyone has an off night and unfortunately the night that we were at this restaurant, it was very off. This restaurant had come highly recommended so we were shocked by the low level of food and service. The place is beautiful and very romantic but the food is dreadful except for the bread. The Cote du Rhone wine was also very good. This was unfortunately the worst French restaurant I have ever been to and I have been to many. It was as if the chef was angry about having to be in the kitchen that night. The "salad" consisted of a few pieces of mesclun thrown onto a little flat plate (I do this better at home). The ratatouille that was served alongside my fish was tasteless and the baked potato was cold and hard. The fish was dreadful. If you go to this restaurant, the mushroom soup was OK, the ambience is fantastic, but be very aware that beyond that you are forewarned.
Enjoyed our new find in Providence. Excellent ambiance, friendly staff, and delicious food. Overall, had a great experience and highly recommend the restaurant. Will definitely go back.
Lots of food for the price! I would go back for the crepes!
First time dining in a restaurant since March 2020! Felt safe and great!
Everything was excellent from start to finish. It was a wonderful dining experience!
Classiest restaurant in Providence with a caring owner, caring staff, and great food!
Excellent experience, great food, ambience and service. Highly recommend.
Wonderful as always. Outstanding food and outstanding service!
Absolutely fabulous! It was good to come back to one of my favorite restaurants!
