Took a long time to get our table ready and it was a bit squishy but waitress very nice if not a little stressed and food very good. We missed the commentary of the races but had a good view of the races.

The ambiance and food was great. The service however was lacking. Some of our party ordered salads as a main course due to diet considerations and advised our server this was their main course choice. Despite this- our meals were all brought at different times so 13 were dining and everyone was finishing at separate times. This was a birthday celebration and DESPITE requesting that our server “please bring the cake now” as some of our guests had to leave —we were informed “I will bring the dessert once everyone is finished and I’ve cleared all the dirty dishes” (a problem SHE created as she didn’t bring everyone’s meal at same time ) finally server advised my elderly parents that an 18% tip is automatic and “assisted” with the debit machine. When it was time for me to pay my portion the server asked for my card which I declined and said I will pay with the machine myself however, she stood over my shoulder telling me what to press for tip so I ignored her rudeness and selected NO TIP. I have never witnessed such pushy ignorance at any restaurant. We will likely not return.

The problem that we have with Post Parade, is that the tables are really crammed in. Considering you are up and down a lot to place bets, it makes it uncomfortable.

Our server was very astute on our need to socialize with our friends before she took orders. She was never overbearing and made some good suggestions on what to share like a cheese platter to start which wasn't on the menu. The burgers were really tasty and one guest enjoyed her onion soup immensely. Bring a sweater if you get easily chilled.

If there was a zero star option, I would rate this place zero. Made a reservation via open table for a group of 6/7, and requested to be by the window. On the day, we were a party of 6 and the Usher/Host placed us on two (2) different tables. We were celebrating retirement and birthday, so imagine doing that at 2 different tables and having an experience with 2 or 3 instead of a party of 6. Having our group on separate tables, ruined the whole experience. We came in early when numerous tables were still available including a table behind us who came at the same time and was at table of 6 but had a party of 4. The host was insisting that NOTHING could be done. I argued with the host because #1 I used to work there not long ago in Marketing and I know that we can move/accommodate tables and #2 my dad worked there for over 15 years and retired as an employee and that experience was not what we’ve envisioned or know about Woodbine. I requested to talk to the host’s manager who never came nor did she ever follow up on it and just swept it under the rug. The food was terrible. For its price, there were no appetizers. Three (3) of my guests ordered the lobster pasta and they requested bread on the side to which our server just said “no”, like plain no, with no explanation as to why we couldn’t get a piece of bread. Sparkling water only comes in a can (like really? Is this a fast food or a sit-down restaurant for a sport that’s meant for kings?). I ordered the rib eye and it came VERY dry. Medium rare was close to medium well and the quality of the beef for its price was extremely chewy (are they serving horses in this joint?). The dessert menu had a variety of coffee but our server said none of them were available, she said that she could only serve us brewed coffee which tasted like Woodbine’s mother packers’ coffee. running out of characters to write here.
