The 3 course with beer flight was amazing!! One of the best meals I have had in a long time!! I highly recommend this restaurant. We went in a Sunday evening and it was quiet but still had a good attendance.

The service was slow and our appetizer came out at the same time as our food. Oysters took about 20 min which seemed like a long wait.

Love everything about Post 390. Great food and a cozy atmosphere. We didn’t feel rushed and our waitress was fantastic, will continue to recommend to anyone looking for dinner or just a great place to grab a drink!

This was my second visit to Post 390. The staff was friendly and helpful as before. The service was prompt, and pleasant. The menu was varied but not overwhelming. I was seated in the upstairs dining area which was quieter than the more active bar space on the street level. My meal was excellent. Definitely on my list to return to and highly recommend!

Good and interesting food, great service. Stay away from the bars on both floors and request a quiet table. Otherwise you'll be stuck as we were in the noisiest booth on earth. Really unpleasant - hope they can figure that out. The rest was very good.

Have been to this Restaurant several times with good service and happiness. But on Saturday night the waiter ruined the Magic.

Only One drink order for the entire meal - when clearly the table of five would’ve ordered several rounds. The pace of service as Slow. S-L-O-W. Poor in fact.

Long lapses in food delivery. The sea food appetizers were poor quality... which surprised me. (After explaining the matter to the Manager, there was a reduction on the bill)

Although the main courses were grand and tasteful. The waiters’ delivery and handling of the affair made the situation: Dull.

The sole waiter was not the professional that should’ve been allowed to handle a table of five.t

We would have enjoyed more table bread. More Follow-Up on Drinks. A simple Courtesy Follow-Up between courses. It would be nice if the waiter had a personality of comfort ...we flatly denied dessert and moved on.

...we split the bill equally amongst the five people; I left a five dollar tip...and can’t even explain why I even did that.

Hey, maybe it wasn’t a good night for the waiter, but It would’ve been more enjoyable to watch paint dry.

Very doubtful I will return.

I was a bit disappointed. We were seated next to a sliding door by the kitchen. This was very disruptive to out business lunch. The server did not come by after the meal was served, but well into the meal. There was no extra aioli with the salmon burger, just ketchup. I have eaten at post 390 before and was very happy. Hope this was a one off experience.

Food was good. Drinks were good, but $17.50 for a KO martini with blue cheese olives may be a bit on the over-priced side. Hostess was abysmal, but servers and other staff were great.

We've really enjoyed Post 390 in the past, but this visit was disappointing. While the staff were all warm and professional, they seemed not at all in sync--it wasn't clear who our primary server was, and we often felt either rushed or neglected. Hope it's back up to snuff next time!

This was our second visit. The first time was memorably good (we did come back, after all) but this was exquisite. The food was outstanding. I ordered the prix fixe "Forage and Wild" menu, with beer (!) pairings. My wife had the puff pastry roll-up. Very inventive, quite delicious. Attentive but unobtrusive service. We'll be back.

4th time dining at Post 390 and every time it has been very good food, solid (and reasonably priced) wine list and a strong whiskey selection. Service was very attentive and friendly. Noise level was a bit high, however that was due to one table in particular. I would definitely recommend for business and pre-event dining.

Five us had a great dinner here as visitors to Boston. Those who love oysters were pleased with their selections. Those who do not had other great choices. Delicious, complex mains had unusual and tasty components - stinging nettle pesto anyone? We'd definitely go back if we had the chance.

We love meeting friends and family at Post 390. The menu had excellent choices for each of us -- including for the one gluten-free diner among us. I enjoy checking out the changing Farm to Post offerings, which were excellent. Highlights included the Portuguese stew and the specialty-harvested mushrooms from Nantucket.

The bluefish pate was bland. The honey pie dessert was incredibly salty and I was unable to eat more than a few bites (and I tend to love salty foods). The salad was downright bad. The grilled fish is was good. The service was spotty.

both my friend and i went to an event and they gave us coupons to try their burgers for free as part of their promotion for Battle of the Burgers.

It didn't specific which burgers we could get so we both ordered the classic. we also ordered their pork rind sliders which was really good.

back to the burgers. both my friend and i ordered a medium rare. we got medium well as it was completely brown inside. since it was late (we got there after 9pm) and it was free we didn't want to make a fuss about it.

overall, service was excellent throughout.

the next day, my friend discovered that she never got her card back from the waitress. and she had several charges on her card the next day.

We were up for trying something new outside of our local area for an anniversary dinner. Post 39 gave us the nice quiet table we requested but Monday was a low volume night anyway. Service seemed a bit uncoordinated as the servers doubled up on each other and then at times were no where to be seen requiring us to hail down the table clearers to get them.

Our meal started with a lovely shrimp appetizer and peach salad we both enjoyed. My halibut entree was served in a light vegetable broth but it was a bit tough and a more bland than I hoped for. My husband's vegetarian ribbon tart was attractive but a little dry along the outer portion.

We don't usually order dessert but decided to do so for our special occasion. The dessert plate arrived with a sweet anniversary message piped onto the plate along with some complimentary champagne we did not expect. We only wish it had not taken so long to arrive after ordering since our coffee was well finished by that time.

The Post 39 atmosphere was what we were hoping for, but I think that the low volume of a Monday night might have dulled the usual efficiency of service and kitchen.

I am beginning to think Restaurant week is not a great idea to try these restaurants. It seems like a great idea and great value however this is the third restaurant and time that I have been very disappointed. Last year we tried the Capital Grille to celebrate our anniversary, what was a great night ended up being disappointing as my steak was never packed up as requested. This year we tried the Odyssey dinner cruise, again that was disappointing as we felt we were stuck to our seats as our server never came over to take our order the manager ended up doing this. And Monday I tried Post 390 to celebrate my engagement with my fiance and brother. We saw our server all of three times that night. When he came over to take our order, to take the drink menu(without asking if we wanted anything-we initially stated we didn't want anything right now) and to drop off the check(he never checked on us during any time of the meal, never brought any of the meal out to us, he couldn't even have been bothered to pick the check up to run it for us another server did.) I received attitude and an eye roll from the bus girl when she came and grabbed my plate and i asked for it to be wrapped up(I make sure to clarify and check the bag now as it does not matter as to the quality of the restaurant because my expensive dinner was not remembered to be packed last year.) based on my experience from restaurant week i am very hesitant to try these restaurants at full price and caution others as well.
