Post 390 puts a contemporary twist on seasonally inspired dishes that reflect Executive Chef Deutmeyer's passion for fresh ingredients and unforgettable flavors. On the first floor is the Tavern: a casual but sophisticated menu and atmosphere, with a 25-seat bar and high top and banquette seating area, warmed by a beautiful four-sided fireplace. A massive wrought iron staircase connects the energy of the first floor with the Dining Room on the second floor.
Here, guests can have a more refined dining experience, and enjoy our large, open kitchen, wine displays, two private dining rooms, additional fireside dining and views of landmarks like Copley Place, Trinity Church and the Hancock Tower.
Located in the Clarendon Building, on the corner of Clarendon and Stuart Streets at the site of the former Back Bay Post Office Annex, Post 390 is perfectly situated within walking distance of the South End and Back Bay neighborhoods.

Great place for dinner with great service. My only compliant is the food it too salty and the wine is far to expensive for the brand/quality. Great lemondrop martini!

The filet and chicken were good. DONT order the beef tartar! Inedible! The ribs were also inconsistent and average. We had an 8:30 reservation and our food arrived at 10:00. Slow slow service with errors on orders-a half dozen oysters came with 5? Too bad the location and ambience are good. Food and service need to step it up.

Service and food were good. Disappointed they had no non alcoholic beer even after I called ahead and was assured they did.

I think the food and service were very good. The wine list could have more bottles in the 35 to 45$ range.

We found the staff and servers very helpful. We had asked for an expedited dinner service to suit our schedule and they were fantastically accommodating while not sacrificing our dining experience. Great oysters too!!

We had a super New Years Eve dinner. We have the concierge at Westin Marriott Copley Place to thank for arranging this for us.

Service was good- app was good- atmosphere is great. I ordered the steak frites for dinner- fries were great but steak tips were cool, undercooked and chewy

I have read reviews like the one you are about to read and have thought, "That cannot have happened at a 4 or 5 star place. It had to be the guests." I will never think that again. It kind of hard to imagine a worse experience than the one we had at 390 Post. There were 8 of there for lunch/brunch on Saturday. The place wasn't completely empty; there might have been 4 other tables with guests. Our server was not only not friendly she was not helpful. We ordered only mains no apps: 3 salads with grilled salmon, 1 stack of pancakes, scrambled eggs with sausage, 2 breakfast burritos, 1 eggs Benedict, 2 sides of bacon and 1 side of fries. Over 30 minutes passed and we asked when our food would come. The server was clearly annoyed and walked away. She didn't come back with a response. A table that arrived and ordered after us was served their food about 15 minutes later so we asked again. She walked away and didnt come back. Another 15 minutes passes by (yes its now 1 hour after we ordered) and we ask her again and we ask to be told how much longer. 10 minutes goes by and she hasnt come back. I walked up to the cashier/host and said we wanted the bill for our drinks and we were leaving. She said they had just gone to check on the food but she would do as we asked. A few minutes later the food arrives. The eggs Benedict were cold and we sent them back and said we didn't want another. All of the salads had a significant amount of brown lettuce. One of them was missing some of the ingredients, also sent back for no replacement. The salmon was overcooked on all of them. They brought an extra side of bacon and a side of tater tots/hashbrowns we didn't order. Amazingly a manager appears (where was she after our 2nd attempt to find out what happened to the food?), apologizes and offers us a dessert platter. We declined and asked for a discount on the food which she did provide. 390 Post is on the do not return list for us and should be on your do not go list.

Nice restaurant, menu could use a few additions and was a bit limited. But overall a nice place for a date or couples
I gave a lower rating based on where the hostess sat us . So close to another stable that we had to move as all the wait staff were bumping into my chair. Once moved we enjoyed our meal and time there. Very relaxing space.

The service was so slow that we were late for the Christmas service. Everything was slow, arrival of drinks, taking the order, food delivery and delivery of the check. I do not understand since they only opened the down stairs. I was disappointed as were the members of my party. I expected more.

A thoroughly disappointing experience from start to finish.
Extra dry titos martini arrived very dirty - sent it back but then told they had no titos so had to choose another vodka. Two of us ordered very different beers, we were both served the same beer
Ordered halibut - told they were out of it tonight not before we ordered but after - they were substituting striped bass which we accepted BUT then halibut WAS served because the server didn't know that they were out of it LAST night but not tonight. Does kitchen/management/waitstaff communicate?
5:30 rez and fairly empty restaurant yet took almost 30 minutes for 1 salad and 1 soup to arrive to table for appetizers and the soup bowl was so hot to touch it had clearly been under a heat lamp for some time. Dinner took another 30 minutes to arrive - delivered to all the wrong places at the table - and the individual $8 sides of mashed potato and broccoli were luke warm at best. Waited a long time for anyone to return to table - no interest in coffee or dessert after such a lousy night of service and food, even tho this was our family pre holiday celebration - $255 meal that comp'd the martini mistake but never told us of that courtesy. Second negative experience I have had here for an incredibly expensive meal with mediocre food and terrible service.

The service was very good and the restaurant though busy was not noisy. However, they were not very accommodating. When we asked if we could substitute another vegetable for Brussel sprouts, the answer was No. Also, there were only four scallops on the entrée.

The ambience was really cool and the service was great. However, the promise of farm to table is a bit of a stretch. The food was very heavy, not fresh and sumptuous as “farm-to-table” restaurants typically are. Everything was bathed in excessive butter and lacked real flavor. The one redeeming part? The amazing homemade brioche at the beginning of the meal.

Kelsey is great company and an excellent bartender! I always make my work colleagues walk the extra mile past the other 5 bars just to come visit when she’s there.

Before Imthrough the front door she’s ready with my lamplighter (one of the few places to find birds of a feather FYI). No matter how packed the place is.. now that’s what I call hospitality. Doesn’t everyone like being remembered at their favorite watering hole?? 🤩

Kuddos on 5 star service post 390, hard to find these days!
