Post is a great restaurant especially before a Lyric Theater play. It’s a bit pricey. But three things put it over the top this time. The pork chop, wonderful; the sides, tempura beans and smoky sweet carrots; and the service, Nina was terrific pacing the meal and just the right level of attentiveness

In general, we like Post 390, but the last couple of times the service has not been good. I think they need to do a better job of training the wait staff. On last two visits, I had to get up from my table and go looking for the wait person. That should never happen!

Food was good, but service was slow.
Our server wasn’t very attentive. When I asked where my beer was she said they had to go to basement I get it. I shouldn’t have to ask. Both of our drinks were long gone before she asked if we wanted another.! Other then that she was ok.
Wild tuna crude appetizer started dinner out very well. Followed by servings of Martha’s Vineyard Shitaki Mushroom raviolis and Bay of Fundy salmon. Side of golden polenta fries. Very nice location and ambience. Excellent staff!!
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The staff was knowledgable and assisted with both dinner and wine selections. Overall an excellent experience. We will certainly be dining there again.
It was our first time at Post 390 and it was fabulous! Decent wine list, quick oyster service and dinner rolls to die for. On top of that, excellent steaks and sides!
Absolutely the best filet mignon ive ever had in my life. Michelle provides fantastic service and Jason has phenomenal knowledge of wine. We’ll be back.....SOON!
We were able to bring our 3 year old along for our valentines dinner and the restaurant didn’t skip a beat. In fact they were extremely friendly to our daughter (especially the awesome host) and the kids meal was good eating. All of the adult food was great and we will definitely make our way back.
Stopped in on Valentine’s Day for a reservation close to the end of the night. What a mistake this place was.
The prefixe menu with wine pairings for two ended up being $230 which is fine if the food is up to par. However my order of the ny steak and croquettes was nowhere near worth this price tag. The steak was suppose to be medium rare but the steak came out practically mooing. The outer edges of the steak were cooked ok but the middle was very rare. The steak came with (3) fried croquettes that came as a side. I but into one and instantly was surprised that it was still frozen. I cut into the second and felt it, that was also frozen. Why would you send out frozen food? Is no one quality checking the food as it comes out? I asked our waitress to speak to a manager but no one ever showed up as I found it crazy that I’m spending $75 for a prefixe menu where I’m being served frozen food that I can warm up better in my home microwave.
When it came to dessert, one of the choices was the creme brule. It obvious they are cutting corners here to save time on a busy Valentine’s Day. The brule came out and the supposedly torched sugar top did not come out warm or even crunchy. It was a soggy top as if the brule were all pre torched en masse to speed up dessert service.
Hey, you know what that’s ok though. You live and you learn and I’ll be voting with my wallet to make sure I never step foot in this establishment again and make sure others I know are made aware to take their hard earned money elsewhere.
limited menu but the choices were still great and service was nice.
Our server and the sommelier were outstanding, as was the meal.
If I had to be nitpicky:
Foodrunners should know which plate is going to what seat. With only two people at the table (me and my date), I shouldn't have to direct them who is getting what for every course.
After booking the reservation, someone from the restaurant called me four times to confirm which was excessive, especially considering it was in the middle of a workday and within a 10-minute timespan.
The temperature could have been warmer, although we were sitting by a window on a cold day.
This sounds like a bad review - but when you spend $300 plus for two people, the expectations are high. The overall the experience was so good and I'll definitely be going back!

SERVICE: I made reservation through Open Table, showed up on time, and gave my name. Then an hour after, I get an email from Open Table that I did a “no show”. I replied that I was there and it must be a mistake. I had to dig through my trash to get a photo of the receipt. This restaurant needs better hosts. The waitress was okay.
FOOD: I ordered the burger. It was bad. I honestly would have enjoyed a Big Mac more.
DRINKS: I ordered a cosmo which was okay. Very standard.
OVERALL: The bill came to $50 for a lousy burger and standard drink.

Nice high top by the fire. Perfect for a cold February night with friends. Seared scallops were a highlight. Also chicken and halibut. Server very accommodating and fun.
We sat at table 301 and Joseph was a fantastic waiter. He went above and beyond and provided us with great customer services. He assisted us with whatever we needed and provided us with suggestions when we were unsure of what to order.
from the moment we walked in, we were welcomed,the food was great, the service was exceptional, i had a salad and an a zuccini and chicken pizza, very good, my friend had the roasted brussel spouts with the taco flight, she said it was very good, i would definately go back
Cheese platter took a long time to get . Waiter was not that friendly .

We enjoyed an exceptional dinner celebrating our friend's birthday. Our server, Hailey, provided warm & highly attentive service as did the other members of the service team. Kudos to the whole team who made our birthday girl and each of us feel special. We thoroughly enjoyed the oysters and the delicious crab cake appetizers paired with a sparkling pinot noir as suggested by their sommelier. Each of our entrees were delicious - Halibut, Prime Rib and Scallops. If you are a Banana Cream Pie fan as my husband is, then you'll be in heaven with Post 390s, happy smiles all around! Sincere thanks to the Post 390 team for providing a wonderful celebration and evening.
Excellent service and the best oysters in town!
The staff treated us like royalty and the service was really good. The food was very good but not astounding, but overall a really nice experience. Homemade ice cream with fresh fruit for dessert was a highlight.
