We had a wonderful time at Positano. The food was delicious, the service impeccable—a wonderful time for my girl’s birthday celebration!

A go to favorite restaurant for delicious pasta, decadent dessert and delightful service!

I had a bad customer service experience. I understand mistakes happen but the way that it was handled was unacceptable and unprofessional on every level. I asked for an ingredient to be omitted in my dish and sent it back when it came out wrong. The manager brought it back, held it in front of me and asked me why I sent it back, I explained that I asked for it to come without the ingredient. Then I had to witness him yell at the waitress in my eye line. The waitress then came over and told me that I didn't order the dish without that ingredient. Which was very uncomfortable and awkward. Then when the bill came, she charged me the full cost of my dish and a five dollar "open food charge". We did not have open food. When we asked her about the charge she didn't have a coherent response. Again I understand mistakes happen and she didn't hear me. But being confronted by the manager, then being confronted by her, then having to witness them argue with one another, and then have her try to charge me extra.... was just all too much. Eventually the bill came with a round of drinks taken off and the bogus charge of "open food" taken off. It was just uncomfortable and not a good experience. I will not be returning.

Best Italian food. Delicious, creative and great quality, from apps to dessert. The ambiance is fun and energetic which my husband and I love. We try to go every time I visit my mother in Brooklyn. Next time bringing some friends along!

This is our second visit to this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and the bronzino and halibut special were excellent. The cacio e pepe was also delicious. The appetizer salads were a perfect start to an amazing meal.

The service at Positano’s is always impeccable. Someone is always there to clear your table or get you what you need. The food is always delicious and fresh. We’ve never had a disappointing meal. It may be a bit expensive but, you are paying for top quality food and the wait staff is attentive and accommodating.

We got to the restaurant and were told we had no reservations…I showed my confirmation on my phone, and was told it was never booked by opentable. Left.

Waited almost an hour to be seated even though we had reservations the food did not come for over an hour after ordering too loud way too overcrowded not worth it

Really great food, amazing rock shrimp - definitely a need to try. Service was great, and also the dessert was delicious. Try the Apple dessert !

It was good as usual, for a Saturday night it wasn’t too packed - I really like this place and i come often .. I didn’t say anything but the special app for the night was the stuffed baratta and it was turning / the eggplant parm was a huge portion and excellent- The pasta ‘Sinatra Spaghetti’ w shrimps and olives & capers was excellent - it was just a hint of Sauce which is how I like to eat pasta -

Meatballs and crab cake appetizers were delicious. Party of 4. We all had different entrees and all were sooo good. Our waiter Frank was awesome too. Definitely our new favorite place!

If you want your date to feel uncomfortable because of the creepy wait staff, then Positano is the place to go. From the time we arrived until the time we left, the waiters, bus boys and food runners took every opportunity possible to stop by our table so they could ogle my date and attempt to stare down her dress. She felt very uncomfortable and we cut our meal short as a result. Even after we paid our check and were ready to leave, another male wait staff member stopped by to hand us the dessert menu. I guess he needed one last peek before we left. Extremely unprofessional would be kind to describe how we both felt.

The food and service are always excellent. The lunch and dinner menus are very different, so check ahead of time. Make a reservation if you're planning to go during a prime time (e.g., Saturday evening or Sunday family dinnertime).

Super easy to secure the OpenTable reservation. Staff was accommodating and allowed us to order from Lunch, Dinner and Specials menus.

Never sure why OpenTable insists on the following:
1) Text message confirmation upon making reservation.
2) Next day text: Reply 1 to insure you will show for your confirmed reservation.
3) Following day: email survey about the "experience".

Is this constant contact really necessary? Seems over the top to me.
