Enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent as always. The Escargot with pesto and Roquefort was amazingly delicious, and the Uni with the squid ink biscuits was a perfectly balanced mix of flavors. The flan was delicious and velvety. Having dinner at Posh is always a treat, the creativity and talent of the team is appreciated.

There were 4 of us dining. Overall 3 out of us 4 enjoyed their food. I guess my cow's milk allergy was too much to tackle. My food was boring and safe. My previous experience was fun and adventurous. I can't say I'll return based on tonight's meal. Dessert for me was the real let down. They tried though to correct it to their credit. It was still safe and boring for a lack of a better word. If you want a good meal that's safe and normal this is the place to go. It used to be exciting to see what the chef would surprise us with, not anymore.

Love the concept of improvisational cuisine but the execution was lacking. I am not sure any of us were really in the mood that night for what some random person selected for us and wished we could have expressed preferences to what we actually did want rather than what we didn't. Perhaps we may have been more receptive to the chef's selections for us on another night. The consensus at the table was that we were all happy to have tried the place but wouldn't repeat the experience especially given the number of really amazing restaurants in the area at a similar or lesser price point.

Very disappointing. What should normally have been appetizers were the main course. Nothing extraordinary and the same venue was given to others even though they claim to create a personal experience. Anderson's pea soup is better than the pea soup offered. One of the amuse bouche was actually a dinner bun. A miniature lamb chop with no sides, and on it went. One sad dish was a squid ink biscuit. One very small black biscuit with little taste in a gravy. Basically a biscuit and gravy dish even if it did contain squid ink. Should have been an amuse bouche, not a main plate.

Easily, the worst meal of my life. The amuse bouche was a lukewarm piece of Ahi with a giant piece of pickled ginger on top that overpowered the fish. That was followed by an incredibly bland pea puree soup (no salt and pepper on the tables) that had the consistency of baby food. The next course, grilled octupus, was terribly chewy, moreso than octopus usually is. The dill pumpernickel bread had promise, but it was also served at a lukewarm temperature. The piece de resistance was anchovies served over burrata cheese. The anchove juice seeped into the cheese so when you at the two together, or individually, what you tasted was probably the most disgusting thing I've ever put in my mouth. Think about it because I can't get it out of my head. I was given a palate cleanser at the end that was so overly bitter, I thought someone had frozen lysol on a stick and served it as a lollipop. By the end of the night, I wondered if I was being punked or on some hidden camera show because all of the dishes were so poorly prepared. Just a complete disaster in terms of flavor profiles, common sense, seasoning and simple execution.

Improvisational dining, you cross off things you don't like, the number of courses, and leave the rest up to the chef. The food is excellent, concept really leaves room for the chef to innovate.

Had been to Posh previously for a special work event and wanted to try them during restaurant week. Was not disappointed. For the price it was a very good meal and exceeded our expectations. Service was very good as well. The restaurant is a bit loud, but still very enjoyable.

Having been here a number of times we have recommended this to a number of people. One had a bad experience, which we could only attribute to the main Chef not being in the restaurant that night. When we have been the food has been excellent and the way the Chef and Sommelier create a tasting menu with wines from ingredients you indicate you like is unique and well worth a try. My wife has a number of things she cannot eat due to allergies and always enjoys our visits to Posh. The supplement for the Foie Gras cooked 3 ways is definitely worth while. (Particularly when served with a good Sauternes)

Not what we had hoped for...and not the same as previous experiences. Perhaps, because of Chef not being present? Or, just a bad night in the kitchen? The server was good. The wines ok. Our party of five was overall not satisfied as more than half their courses (6) were not good. The food was limited on flavor, meat was overdone, minuscule portions - food appearance like leftovers. I do not feel I got what I paid for....900 bucks ought to stage a pretty impressive table, don't you think? I do not feel like returning again, that is for sure...that's a real bummer. The celebration - due to the company, was great - however, the food was lacking in a big way this time.

Although the evening was everything we had hoped for as a special birthday celebration, my disappointment was that the price listed on the website (which was pricey in itself) was $20 less than the price listed on the menu when we arrived. I mentioned this to the hostess who stated that the lower price is for the early bird special. However, entering the restaurant's site and going to "Dinner Menu" and not "Happy Hour" or "Early BIrd", the price is less than the actual dinner price. This is wrong and upsetting.

Nothing was done to compensate us for the misrepresentation. No apology or adjustment.

Amazing!!! Delicious dining curbed to your preferences.
We sat at the "chefs" table because it said there would be interaction with the chef. There was no interaction however we were able to watch as they made some of the dishes.
Next time would sit at a table.
Will definitely go back!

So let's start off with the bad - it was cold. No, not the food, but the air conditioning was set rather cold for a night-time dining experience. Admittedly, my wife and I are relatively lean and get cold easily. We asked our server, Michael, if he could arrange so that we had a little warmth. He immediately went and changed the temperature and although it helped a little bit, we were still quit cold but not to the point where it ruined our experience. No problem! The food was ridiculously amazing. My wife and I are both ethical vegans and we made the kitchen aware of that so they could prepare in advice and wow, they sure did. Our entrees were different every time until the fourth course where both of our journeys met at an amazing sweet potato that was heavenly creamy on the inside and crisp on the outside. I don't know how POSH does it but every course relates to, and improves upon, the last. We're both very pleased to have experienced what is possible entirely with vegetables and would recommend that everyone try a vegan dining experience at POSH at least once, the kitchen got incredibly creative and even made one of us almond ricotta at one point. We tasted 5 courses each, spending approximately 2 hours in entirety. POSH has a distinct upscale feel to it but unlike the name, it's actually quite relaxed and inviting - perfect for dates, special occassions, or just a dinner with friends and family.

Amazing evening! This is my second time at Posh, and it did not disappoint. The food is so original and delicious. We went for my birthday, and my husband and I each chose the 7 course option. Every course we had was different - so in essence we had a total of 14 dishes! I loved the unique flavors and ingredients used, you felt like the meal was made just for you! (And admittedly, I did feel like I was a judge on a food network show too!) Thank you!

This was our fifth visit to Posh during the past 4 years. Our last time dining there was in 2014. Sadly the quality has deteriorated a lot despite the fact the minimum number of courses is now 5 for $80. I have no problem with the cost but the selection of courses and quality was not there. The worst thing was the meat course. They gave me wild boar bacon and my wife pork tenderloin -- 2 pork ( pig) dishes in a restaurant that encourages sharing and swapping. The boar was far too salty and greasy and the tenderloin was overcooked and served on a bed of white beans --hardly the old Posh.

If I had to use one word to describe my dining experience, the one word would be "disappointed." I had high hopes for this place but the food lacked flavor. Creativity doesn't make up for pairing things that shouldn't be paired together such as apple and fish or uni and cheesecake. Flavors should either balance or enhance and not make the dish just blah. Starting at $80/5 courses, which were like 2-bites each, is a bit steep for food that wouldn't even compare to a $$ highly rated restaurant on yelp. (sad face)

My wife and I selected the tasting menu with wine pairing. To our surprise, they gave us different food for each courses. So choosing 6 courses is really like 12 if you don't mind sharing. The food is fabulously varied with great wine pairing. Often times the wine pairings were different for each dish.
All in all, a great experience, but be sure to bring you wallet.

This is a hard review to write. The actual food that I ate was very good. There were inventive dishes and interesting flavors. But the very thing that made this restaurant so compelling a choice was not handled as well as I had expected - specifically the choices of food items that you did not want to eat and the selections of food items that you particularly wanted to have at that meal. That coolness factor of the improvisational nature of the menu was lost by the restaurant's execution. The waitress (who was excellent by the way) handed us a form when we first arrived. We were to mark our dislikes and likes as well as answer a few questions. The form was childish and not up to the standards of the price and quality of the food itself. Plus there could have been more made with the improvisation - the forms were handed to us, explained and then simply collected never to be heard about again. It seems to me that Posh has a fantastic hook but it falls flat because they fail to turn that hook into the sort of "theater" I had expected. Rather than use the improvisational thing as a carry through for the entire evening, it is only the form that we completed and then it is forgotten. We expected more. Were we disappointed with the food itself? No. But, the experience, which is quite expensive, could have been better. When all is said and done, while the food was good, the dining experience lacked any umph.

"Posh" calls their cooking "improvisational cuisine". However, most of their tasting menu was clearly prepared earlier for serving cold or reheating, often inadequately and unevenly. They start with a good idea of having diners chose/eliminate from a list of proteins, some less common. Plating was visually appealing. Service was solid and professional. Portions were too small, even for a multi-course tasting menu; so little fois gras was used in that dish there is no justification for a supplementary charge. Soup was thin. Duck confit was stringy and bland. Sweetbreads were overcooked. A poached pear was warm on the outside, cold on the inside, and started with a pear that was unripe. Flan was reheated to overly firm. At least they can properly dress a salad. Posh is a novel idea, in a nice space, with fine service, totally undermined by cooking that seemed phoned in.

We are foodies and love to try new experiences. Posh is unique and offers food variety that you may not try in a regular restaurant. They offer only fixed menus so you pretty much are at the mercy of their creativity. You do get a form at the beginning of your meal that asks for food and drink dislikes, allergies etc.... however, even though you fill this form out there were other foods not listed on the form that you may not like to eat . For example, I do not like onions much and onions were used in a lot of the foods/sauces. Also, they use a lot of salt. It is best to be an adventurous eater when choosing Posh. It is a place to try for a special occasion to make it worth the experience and expense.

We hadn't been back to Phoenix for several years and we're excited about returning to Posh. The service was completely attentive and completely unobtrusive, the timing between courses was perfect and the creativity of the food was as we remembered- spectacular. Kumamoto oysters in beet mignonette, sweetbreads in a chili/sweet/ponxu sauce, pork tenderloin in mole sauce were all wonderful. The uni cheese cake was the only miss- little evidence of uni in the preparation. We also marveled at the complexity and long finish of two wines by the glass. We'll be back.
