Excellent food and waitstaff. I had a delicious Bloody Mary and haddock sandwich. Be sure to try their tiramisu cupcake. Never dissatisfied—always a great place to go. Spectacular views and great food.
Easy to eat and enjoy the water front view. Great at sunset…
A hidden gem! We got off the whale watch boat and headed across the bridge. It’s in the hotel (which I’m staying at next time). They had a reggae band called TIS AND TAT .....they were outstanding🥰
The food and drinks was really good. The waiter was wicked 😄 funny.
I ordered his favorites and I’m glad I did. Fish tacos and New England clam chowder. I must say my friends corn chowder was amazing!,
Can’t wait to return!
Except for the live band on the outside porch, everything was great.
The ambience and service were great but unfortunately that didn’t make up for the food. The iced tea tasted
like a mix which was bad enough. We ordered salads and what we got was enough lettuce to feed 10 (20?) people with some toppings that you had to dig around for. Someone needs to tell the chef that quantity doesn’t make up for quality. Don’t think I’ll be making a repeat visit.
Another terrific experience at Portside! Delicious food, attentive servers, great view, even in the rain!
The view and service was great but a few things turned us off unfortunately. The parking lot is small so if it’s full you have to take a shuttle, they were out of the 1 thing on the menu we specifically came for, and the prices were pretty high for the quality of food.
Felt rushed. Even though there were plenty of open tables in the dining room and no one was waiting, we were handed our check before we were finished with our meal
Got the Parmesan Encrusted Haddock.
Came with rice pilaf and zucchini and summer squash.
It was so delicious!
Got the Oreo cookie martini… highly recommended.
Service and view were excellent. Think it’s overpriced.
we. Loved it!! Will def be back!!
Food was amazing 4th time we have been...will definitely be back. Our friends just love going there with us when we go antique shopping for the day. They always get the scallops in maple butter and I always get the the surf and turf with change to fried clams....high recommend the chicken corn chowder....10+
I ordered a mocktail and was charged full drink price. That was the only complaint1
The food was average. Table had fish taco, scallops, Mac and cheese, and surf and turf as entree. Friend ended up only eating one of the three tacos. Mac and cheese was good, soft and creamy with humongous portion! Steak was inconsistent. Had asked for well done, but outside was burnt while the inside of the tips were red. Drinks and appetizers were good- had the jalapeño margarita, a pitcher of a rum drink, fried pickles and artichoke chip. Outside view was nice, good ambiance. Would go again maybe for drinks and appetizers if around the area but perhaps not for dinner.
Food and drinks great! Service great too. Liked the view outside.
Food was great, service not so much. We were made to feel like we were interrupting there personal time. We were sat, never asked for drinks, when she came back 15 minutes later, she only took appetizer order as we were asking for drinks she just turned and left, waited another 20 minutes for appetizer and chowder, when she took meal order (had to stop her from leaving) and ordered meal and drinks. Didn’t see her for 5 minutes with 2 cokes (literally only 3 other tables, which she had only 1 of) them didn’t see her again when meals until meals were brought out. She turned to leave when we had to shout to get her attention for a drink refill. Then didn’t see her again until other table tracked her down about 30 minutes later. Literally the longest lunch ever. Food and views were great. Service not so much. I honestly don’t see how they can enforce the 90 minute table rule if she is on duty. The other waiter we saw constantly for his 2 tables, our waitress was too busy having lunch with the hostess. Plus our bill was wrong, appetizer wasn’t half off, but honestly couldn’t be bothered to her her fix, as it woulda taken forever to see her again
Another terrific dining experience at Portside! Food, service, ambiance…all top-notch. I’ll be back!
Hostess was not very friendly. Our server was very nice. Food was ok, not great. Loud inside , not a great atmosphere.
Another terrific experience at Portside! In fact, I’m returning today with a different friend!
Long wait for food with only 3 tables occupied. Swordfish was undercooked, sent back, and not very good.
I just want to say that food was delicious! Everything: scallops, mussels, salad, French fries were unbelievably delicious, steak, fish tacos and lobster rolls!!!! And special drinks/cocktails were BOOM!!!!
We were staying at the Inn next door and the restaurant was convenient as we had traveled all day and it was raining. Our server was attentive and efficient. We ordered a margherita flatbread as a starter. We were unable to eat more than a couple of bites. Huge clumps of unmelted cheese dominated. Our server took it off the bill. My husband’s haddock was decent but not great. I ordered scallops. They were thickly covered with honeyed bacon bits. After scraping it off the scallops were average. Not terrible but not great.
My sister is gluten free. The chef accommodated the fish tacos on lettuce so she could have them. He also baked her fries. Very much appreciated the extra effort. Will definitely recommend and visit again. Thanks
Scallops fantastic! Our server Keen was efficient and friendly!
Had a great time here for our experience.
Service was outstanding, food was delicious
Ken the bartender made delicious drinks. I go the lollipop martini and my friends got the espresso martini both were yummy. I got the chicken skewers and my friends got the haddock and both delicious. They had a live band on the deck which was nice. Overall good service with good food.
Had Coconut Shrimp appetizer that was excellent. I order Fish Tacos and Ceasr Wrap. Everything was top notch. Waitress was attentive and engaging
Best coconut shrimp I have had in a long time. Run buckets were incredible and the service was outstanding. Will definitely visit again
Just went for apps, salad and drinks. Martini's were good!
Another delightful and delicious experience at Portside! Jordan is terrific!
Fantastic attentive staff! Good was fantastic as well! Will continue to visit!!’
Pleasant and helpful parking lot attendant. Front of the house was cheerful and efficient. Server was very attentive and followed up with us appropriately during the meal. The service was quick. The lobster rolls were very good. The limoncello cake was delicious.
Would have rated higher except for the initial experience with the young lady who brought us to our table who was unfriendly, did not seem to want to be there and appeared annoyed when we were trying to determine where to sit. Nice but loud music was playing and when we hesitated on her direction seeking a table where we could talk quietly. Giving us a look her negative and curt vibe was felt. We were told by another staff that music was about to end so we changed back to other table. The place was not busy. Not a pleasant start by someone with an attitude.
Our server Jorden was terrific, helpful, attentive and friendly. Our food was good. Like the drink menu. Great view. Will give it another try however as on balance more was right than wrong.
Portside has become one of our favorite places in town! We highly recommend it to everyone!
Overall great experience the food and drinks were amazing!
Service was great and the manager Monday night was soooo helpful!!!
Jen. Our waitress was the BEST!!! And…I am out socially all the time and arrange international conferences!!!
She was friendly efficient and calm under pressure with short staff yesterday. Please show her this review and congratulate in some way.
Kira P was a great waitress
This was our first visit since before the pandemic. It was good to be back. On reservations were great. Food very nice, we shared a generous portion of mussels for the table and they were great. Everyone enjoyed their food and all portions were generous.
There was music in the outdoor area we could not hear it inside, it is nice to have a louder area and a quiet eating area. It appeared the outside folks were having a nice time celebrating a birthday party.
Our service was a bit slow, she was very nice an appeared busy. We would of ordered another round of drinks but she was not to be found. She left our table messy between courses. Other then that great. We will return Oh the men of the group were disappointed with no "Sam seasonal,"
