Across the street from Independence Park in downtown Bristol, Portside Tavern offers amazing food, great live music 4 nights a week, 28 beers on tap, and an environment perfect for locals, families, and visitors.
Our kitchen staff is proud to offer a menu with house made new favorites like our BBQ Wonton Nachos, and old classics like our Fish and Chips and Prime Flat Iron Steak Frites. When in doubt, our Portside Burger is perfect.
Our staff is the best in town! Friendly, knowledgeable, and is excited to give each customer the very best dining experience!
We are open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week with a lively bar crowd till 1am, and don't miss our brunch (with bottomless mimosas and sangrias) on Saturday and Sunday mornings!

We had pretzels (their pretzels are the best), mussels, clam chowder, French onion soup, lobster rolls, salad with steak, Parmesan fries, fried shrimp sandwich and short rib mac n cheese. Everything was great!

We've been MANY times and usually very satisfied with the experience. This trip, I was a little disappointed with the French Dip sandwich. Didn't care much for the au jus - had a different taste than other places, and not enough meat to go with the amount of bread in the large roll. Service was excellent - as usual - and our table was ready on time. We WILL go back!

Food was good but not great given the prices. Wait for our order was long but it was busy and our server did her best to keep up. May try again on a quieter night.

Gluten free options great. Wings, fries, tai rolls. Chicken sandwich. Separate GF fryer. A bit noisy inside, outside would be better but it was chilly. Found this with findmeglutenfree app and booked via Open Table. Great gluten free options!

Always a great place with that home cooked feel . It’s a fun place where all the locals seem to go and have a blast . Our go to when we visit our daughter during her college semester.
