Across the street from Independence Park in downtown Bristol, Portside Tavern offers amazing food, great live music 4 nights a week, 28 beers on tap, and an environment perfect for locals, families, and visitors.
Our kitchen staff is proud to offer a menu with house made new favorites like our BBQ Wonton Nachos, and old classics like our Fish and Chips and Prime Flat Iron Steak Frites. When in doubt, our Portside Burger is perfect.
Our staff is the best in town! Friendly, knowledgeable, and is excited to give each customer the very best dining experience!
We are open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week with a lively bar crowd till 1am, and don't miss our brunch (with bottomless mimosas and sangrias) on Saturday and Sunday mornings!

Staff was excellent. Food was cold sadly although tasty. Prob would not go again for dinner but def for drinks beforehand

I visited Portside with party of 5 last nite. In addition to the service being excellent, the onion soup was onr of my Top Five and I order it often so have lots of competition 😊

We had lunch and brunch here (two days in a row). This was such a pleasant surprise with great food, good view and friendly service.

Service was fine and friendly. Two orders of the ahi tuna rice bowl was mostly just white rice and an extremely small amount of tuna and other toppings for a $26 price tag…..

We had friends visiting from upstate New York and decided to try the Sunday brunch after it was recommended by a neighbor. Food was absolutely delicious and the bottomless mimosas were incredibly generous! The surprise bonus was that there was live acoustic music which was absolutely delightful! We will definitely be returning!

Portside is a nice local spot. We just had drinks, which were fine. The beer selection was very good. The service was excellent. It was almost too loud to have a conversation indoors, so we went outside. There was a good musical duo playing, which added to the ambience.

The food is always spot on, fresh flavor profile is perfect. Presentation never disappoints. Eating outside watching the sunset over the bay…priceless ! 5 out of 5… Never had a bad experience there - jay

The draft beer was flat. The food was not great for the price. Both rib eyes ordered at medium rare came out over cooked. The vegetables were scarce. Any kind of "bowl" order should not have shrimp requiring tail removal. The seasoning on the bowl was lacking. The one highlight was the perky waitress. But she neglected to tell us her name. Not returning. This was their last chance, since two previous visits were not good either.
