Was very pleased with my experience at Portofinos. Food was excellent, prices were reasonable and a quiet, enjoyable dinner. It was away from the business of the town and easy to park. We were early for our reservation but fortunately seated anyway. After dinner it was easy for us to drive home without maneuvering thru town.

Nice restaurant, consistent to my last visit years ago. Just beware, they charge you a "Surcharge" for using a credit card. Was a touch put off by that after paying their above average prices but such is life. Will consider elsewhere next time due to that but waitress was great, food was great, my parents were made happy so thank you!!

Service was incredibly slow & both of our orders were incorrect, unfortunately. I ordered penne & received spaghetti, and my friend’s dish was missing the vegetables it was supposed to come with. We had to flag down the wait staff several times because our waitress disappeared. Food here is delicious but overall we were incredibly disappointed with the service.

My daughter and I took my parents to lunch for an early Mother’s Day celebration. We were seated in front of a window. The food was delicious. Our server was attentive and responsive. My parents are 90 and 95. Although vaccinated, this was their third lunch in a restaurant since March of 2020. They thoroughly enjoyed it! The experience could not have been better. Ground level access - quiet dining that allowed us to hear each other. The perfect spot for lunch in Morristown!

Four of us dined here on 4/21. Three dinners were ok. I had veal Marsala which should be in a brown sauce . This Marsala was grey. The service was terrible. Our server should find a new line of work. My husband asked for sweetener for his coffee . He finally received it after he finished it. I asked for a spoon to share a dessert. I never received it. She had an overall condescending attitude. The restaurant is very old looking and dark. Never again.

We were very disappointed in how long it took for us to get our food and once it arrived, it was not very warm and definitely not very tasty. The restaurant was very loud and too expensive for for what we got for a minute for a meal.

When I specifically request the main course to be delivered after we finish the appetizers and the main course be hot besides, they did exactly the opposite. The main course was given to us while merely in the middle of the appetizers and my main course was not quite even warm. I sent it back and still no improvement to be hotter.

From the Moment you walk in the restaurant, you are greeted by the friendly hostess. The appetizer was amazing. We got the artichoke appetizer and it was enough to share with the table of four. The chicken francese was amazing, Our waitress was so friendly and attentive. The owner Lisa has done a wonderful job with renovating this iconic restaurant.

As always, the food was delicious and the portions generous. Limited parking but we were able to park in the lot because we were there early at Noon. Have eaten there many time, both as an individual and as a business dinner with 20+, Never had a disappointing experience and will definitely go again.

Had reservations for 7:45, didn’t sit until almost an hour later!!!! Said they would give us complimentary apps for the long wait, we were 10 ppl, they gave one burrata & one shrimp beeps (for ten people and this is nearing 9pm), needles to say we ordered a bunch more because we were starving. No substitutions, not even changing linguini to angel hair until I said out loud, why did we even come here! They over booked themselves and the food was just average, my husbands pasta was stone cold but after the long wait to get our entrees he wasn’t about to send back. I should have listened to the prior reviews we won’t be returning anytime soon. (One plus the waitress was a delight)!

I have been coming to Portofinos with my girlfriends for over 30 years, under 3 different sets of management and this was by far the worst experience. We started coming when my friends rented a house only blocks away in our 20s. Back then it was quite small but the ambience and food were unmatched. Years ago they expanded and this past visit still had a packed house and so I was excited to enjoy the food since I figured that was a good sign and we hadn’t been since pre-Covid. We were sorely disappointed. The prices continued to escalate and although the appetizers were good, they forgot the second one until right before the main courses came out and then those were more than disappointing. My friend got the angel hair Mediterranean- which has been a staple through every owner. She was shocked when the pasta came out cold- who serves pasta cold? We flagged down the waiter and asked for it to be redone (not microwaved). So what did they do? They microwaved it- the outside was hot and the inside was cold… and the pasta was limp; it was inedible. We then flagged down the owner and she had the pasta remade.. but by that point the rest of our group was nearly done. My pasta dish was too overpowering and although the combination of bow tie, shrimp, artichokes and red sauce with a touch of cream sounded promising, it was not nearly as good as the dishes they used to serve. Over the years the other change is that the salads that used to be included are now an additional $10-12, almost the original cost of the dishes in the 90s. Of course, one would expect prices to increase over that time period, but one would also expect them to improve or at least be as good. This was a place we came to love for many many years and now I’m not sure when we might ever be back…

It took 30 minutes for our order to be taken. There were only four occupied tables but we almost never saw our servers. An octopus salad appetizer came out, even tho we didn’t order it. The octopus tasted frozen. The rest of the food was delicious. Price point is good and it’s also BYOB, which is nice. Was a bit disappointing overall.

We had a ladies night Valentine’s dinner with 14 women! I was blown away by the flexibility of the staff and attention to detail with my last minute requests. We had a lot of different dietary needs and the chef was attentive to all of our requirements. Can’t wait to come back - the group decided this will be our new regular spot for large parties out!!
