Light, creamy white sauce with sliced black olive & cherry tomatoes
Great food. Service was very slow.
The food was delicious but my order was not correct. I think one more staff member would make a big difference in service. The venue is very pretty and cozy
It was a Friday night and they were expecting a good size party in a separate room. We arrived promptly for our reservation at 5:30pm and we were immediately seated. It took about a half hour for our appetizers to arrive; soup and a salad. They were delicious! Our meal did not arrive until approximately 6:40pm. However, the food was outstanding. I imagine the delay was caused by the preparations for the large group. We would go back again.
First time here. Food was excellent and will definitely be back!
The food was very good but I will say that we were a little disappointed that the Chef's Special pasta (the grana padano cheese wheel pasta) is no longer served tableside due to COVID. (Our waiter also seemed unsure as to whether or not it would be changed in the future.) We were really excited to have this fun "experience" and while the pasta was very good prepared from back-of-house, it didn't feel as special or taste as interesting since it was served just like any other pasta. But, the patio is beautiful, and our waiter was HUSTLING to make sure we had everything we needed.
Fabulous food and service
Good neighborhood restaurant. Very noisy. Restaurant full
Chef Michael and the waitstaff are wonderful! The food was amazing!
Went as a group of 4 couples for a group date night out without the kids, yes I know this automatically gives the experience 5 stars, but we're all looking forward to going again. The food was delicious and priced below comparable offerings at other high quality restaurants, we had quite a few appetizers, all of which were on point. All of our entrees were also great, we didn't have dessert but only because we had another place in mind to continue on for the night.
We were very impressed with the day's specials, especially the apps: the fried squash blossoms were delicious-i was so excited to try them, and I was not disappointed-they were so tender with the delicate sauce. We also loved the fig, mozz and prosciutto platter-beautiful and flavorful. On the con side, I felt like our server was either too busy or inattentive at times-at the end of our meal, I saw him bussing a table when we were in the next room ready for our check. Other than that, our party of 4 had a great dinner there-will come back if we are in the Morristown again (we live in Bergen Co. but our dining companions live in M-town).
We had a wonderful evening. Our service was great and it was her first day working there. The food was delicious.
The service and the food was very good. No complaints. Great portions, had enough for the next day. Did not see anywhere on the website before we came, that it was a BYOB. That would be the only negative thing, other than that everything was great. Would return, and tell people about the great food and experience that I had
Old-fashioned Italian -- in the best of ways. Nothing fancy, nothing bizarre. Best Veal Saltimboca I've had in years. Great selection of pastas. Again, nothing futuristic, just the real thing. We ordered two pasta dishes in addition to our entrees, knowing we'd take most of it home. Just had to taste. Outstanding. Small, attractive, mom and pop restaurant in a residential neighborhood. Can't wait to go back.
Food was good, service was solid, lots of east street parking. They were able to accommodate our larger group on short notice.
We had a reservation for dinner tonight @5:00 and when we arrived were informed there were multiple indoor parties and we would have to eat outside. That wasn’t possible because too hot outside to eat dinner! There were no other options per the hostess and she cancelled our reservation on open table. May be a very longtime before I attempt to eat at this restaurant. Too bad they don’t care about the customer!!!
Our first time at this restaurant. We shared a Caesar salad which was outstanding. The portion is big enough to share. Entrees were prepared perfectly, portion size was plenty. Everyone at our table took some home. We did not do dessert but they looked delicious. It is a BYOB which for those of us don’t drink it is a real money saver. 5 stars.
Great meal and excellent service.
First time dinning. Food was good but service was not as attentive as I would like. I think they were short staffed as so many restaurants are right now. I do plan to return.
A delicious and plentiful meal as always. Variety is top notch and the quality terrific!!!
I still consider Portofino’s Greenville’s BEST Italian restaurant. The food is excellent. The pomegranate martinis are to die for and the “bottomless” salad and garlic rolls are without compare. Eat here. You will not be disappointed. Oh, and be sure to try to pork chops!
First time here. Great food. Great staff. Great atmosphere . Will be back.
You can rely on good food and service here. My whole family loves it!
Fabulous!! Enjoyed every minute!
Retiree party Relaxing and enjoyable
Very disappointing- we were sat right away- window seat, the window sill was right next to the table and it was dirty. I wanted to leave then but my Husband was hungry. We didn’t see our waiter for approximately half hour, the bread was the only thing that was good, besides the bottle of wine we brought with us.
My husband had his favorite appetizer Mussels in spicy marinara sauce, it wasn’t spicy - sauce was mediocre- no flavor.
Our dinner did not arrive for at least 40 minutes later..I understand the restaurant was busy, we ordered simple pasta dishes,
Again no flavor
I would not recommend this restaurant.
Definitely worth the trip. Good value. Food was fresh and on point.
Nice eggplant rollatini and chicken parm, but the spaghetti served alongside was horribly overcooked. Ignored when asked for olive oil which likely wouldn't have helped the stale bread. Music inside was way too loud.
Great place for a good casual Italian dinner. The food and the service were great.
The appetizers were great. While the overall service was slow our waiter was very nice. He tried very hard as they were down a couple lf staff members (thus the slower service). I will go back for sure.
Mother’s Day. It was fantastic!
The place is nice and the food is ok nothing special but fair
Our first time at Portifino. What the restaurant lacks on the exterior is more than made up for inside, with good ambience, great service, excellent food, massive portions and reasonable pricing. We’d definitely go again.
The food is outstanding every time!
I loved my experience at Prtofino's! Excellent food, excellent service. I will absolutely be dining here again soon.
Great food, great atmosphere! Service was excellent!
First time at the restaurant. We reserved a table base on the good reviews. The reviews are spot on with food, service, and price. You won't be hungry with the portion served. Definitely will be coming back!
Everything was amazing!
We waited 15 min before someone came to open our wine and we had to stop a server to ask for it. We ordered and 30 min later server came to tell us that they ran out of one entree and gave us a menu to order something else. An hour and 20 min later we got our meal. The replacement meal of ravioli was a bowl of thick sauce and you had to look for the ravioli. Our server could have cared less and it showed when she blamed the chef for running out and not telling her when she put in the order. No real apologies forthcoming. She asked us if we wanted coffee/dessert and walked away. Restaurant was very loud as well. Will try someplace else next time.
Our appetizers didn’t come at the same time. A table of 8 got served before our dinner came out. Very slow.
We have been passing this restaurant as we drive by for years and finally decided to try it. I am glad we did. The food was very good and the prices very reasonable. We are definitely adding this to our "rotation" and highly recommend to fans of Italian food.
