Portofino is an unassuming neighborhood bistro located on a quiet side street in Buckhead. From the street, you can see the beautiful stone and brick patio that offers the most enjoyable outdoor seating in town. The patio spills into a delightful dining room with vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and bright, energetic artwork.
The cuisine at Portofino is American-Italian offering a selection of simple pastas, innovative bistro-style appetizers, and entrees. The menu and award-winning wine list are constantly changing and good times prevail.

Portofino Ratings and Reviews
A great evening with some close friends. We arrived early and had some time to get to know and enjoy the company of Scott and Mike at the bar. Excellent food and service - it had been a long time since I had been to Portofino and it won't be nearly as long until the next time. Thank you for a very special evening.
My husband and I eat at Portofino all the time. It is our "Go to" place to eat. We love going there! The food is always beyond delicious, everyone there is AMAZING (our favorite is Kelly F. to us she is just as amazing as the food itself. We love her!!). We take everyone we know to Portofino and my husband even takes his colleagues and business associates there because we know everything will always be perfect and delicious 😋 THANK YOU PORTOFINO!!!
I was pretty disappointed with this location. The vegetarian options were sparse. The entree that I chose was a peppered pasta with a very light oil and cheese sauce, and it was mediocre at best. We ordered a bottle of wine, but somehow wound up with two relatively small glasses of Pinot Grigio. The wrong entrees were delivered to our table twice. The restaurant was not busy when we were there so all of the order mixups were perplexing. Maybe we caught it on a bad night, but I doubt that I'll be back.
Have had excellent food here in the past, but tonight was just plain bad. The short ribs were at least 70% fat and the wild boar was tough as nails. 5 diners, none enjoyed their entree, which was a shame since this was a special occasion.
Appetizers were delicious though. Ambience is great as well.
May be our last experience here though.
What a great find. We were looking for a new spot to eat and found Portofino online. You never know if you can trust online reviews but I have to say, I’m glad we took a chance. We loved the ambiance and the food was great. Even better was the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. I can’t wait to go back and make Portofino’s a regular spot.
Went to meet a friend for last minute dinner and was recommended this place by my sister. It is such a quaint little spot. It is a neighborhood gen. We got lucky and got a table out on the beautiful patio. The menu had plenty of choices for even the pickiest of foodies. The service was great as well.
i can't wait to come back to Atlanta and come to Portofino again!!!
You won't be disappointed here
Wonderful night for outdoor dining at Portofino! Service was excellent and food delicious. Chef allowed us to mix up the Entrees to make them to our liking and they were scrumptious! Ravioli specials were truly a hit with everyone in group. Would definitely recommend Portofino to anyone interested in a night of good food and drinks. Management was walking thru restaurant to check on everyone, staff very attentive to each table and needs of all.
Good food! I like that Italian regions are highlighted. Seemed like there were some Southern local type dishes that didn't have a true Italian flavor. But, still very good. The strawberry rhubarb shortcake was dry with little fruit, that was the only negative. We'll be back though as we enjoy this hidden gem.
