Always great food, wine and cocktails. A perfect place to sit outdoors and dine.
It was great to have Porto open again. It was better than ever!
While their menu is fairly limited everything we had was wonderful! Seriously you have to order the mushroom flatbread
Porto is always a great experience. The food is outstanding- tuna tartare, octopus, oysters, squid ink pasta and clams- it’s all delicious. The patio was well heated and they offer blankets. Enjoy!
We only sit outside and they honored our request. Service was great. The menu is limited but the shrimp cocktail
And lamb was awesome. The roasted potatoes were a substitute for the lamb and only so so. Heater helped a lot. And we sat under the awning which is our fav place. We live around corner a d Porto is our go to place
Everything was excellent from the service, the drinks and the food - which was sublime. Thank you for such an amazing experience and meal!
Nice meal in a cool setting, bit rich for my blood, but thoroughly enjoyed nontheless.
great first visit. excellent cocktails and good. Service was outstanding. we will definitely be back soon
I took my wife to Porto for dinner and we sat outside on a perfect nice. A perfect romantic dinner!
Porto has been a favorite of mine since it opened. It's as good as ever now. The variety and quality of the offerings is excellent. Quality control of the preparations is outstanding. The staff is friendly and the service relaxed and efficient.
The scallops were amazing
There were three in our party. Two entrees were great, but menu didn't mention that the branzino was a whole fish and not filleted, so our third person spent the better part of the dinner picking bones out of her teeth or trying to extract what ended up being not much fish from the skeleton. Certainly not a tragedy, but not great either, especially for the price. Service was great.
We had a wonderful family dinner. Service was very warm and accommodating. Delicious cocktails and truly exceptional food! Thank you
Jodi and her team worked the NYE crowd and challenges with conscious effort and thought, service, food and comrodery, a beautiful NYE overall !
Followed COVID protocol very well, felt very safe. Server was great. Would gladly return again
Great sharing ambiance - we split a few starters and pastas and it was a perfect amount of food!
Made reservations for my sister and husband and they were not dissapointed! The food, service, ambiance was told were amazing. Carla was fantastic and Porto made their last night in Boston unforgettable. Thank you❤
Great food and they were very accommodating when we wanted to move inside. Service was great as well. Highly recommend.
Such a great experience overall!
Gracious and attentive staff made my experience fantastic from the moment I was greeted at the door. I was dining solo but had the opportunity to try a few dishes; the arancini were divine, and the whole roasted branzino, while simple, was literally perfect (HIGHLY recommend this dish). They were featuring a fresh house made black truffle pasta dish which will definitely have me coming back soon to try. Thanks to Porto for a fantastic evening!
Bartender is superb! Food is amazing. Decor is classy. Love it here.
Our first experience will not be our last. EVERY dish we 3 had was a winner- from appetizers (octopus, Bufalo mozzarella, and salad) to entrees (seafood stew, lamb cops, wild mushroom parpadelle- pasta made fresh!) to apple crisp dessert (shared by two, the 3rd person was too full!) - every dish done to perfection and absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed a lovely Arneis (unusual wine seldom on wine lists).
The only weak area is their beer list- not one Belgian Abby ale- but that is true of most Boston/ American- restaurants.
We dined out often (in the 'pre-times) at many great restaurants in Boston and having EVERY dish to be excellent was very rare. Porto is such a rare gem and we hope it survives. If you choose to dine out, this is the place to go! - The Touws & friend
The patio area is expansive, the tables well spaced, the food and service fantastic.
Superb! Delicious food!
Great atmosphere and excellent food along with friendly, welcoming service
Outdoor dining was GREAT. Nice patio rather than a former parking space. Food was perfect as was the service. Forgot to get parking validated which was pricy. Don't make that mistake.
Heat lamps were out of propane!
It's during the pandemic and we ate outside, so everyone is doing the best they can.
Porto is doing an outstanding job of serving great food, in a really nice outdoor arrangement. Way to fight the plague!
we had an amazing outdoor dining experience on a Saturday evening. the tables were well spaced and we fortunately had a table near a heating lamp as it did get chillier towards the end of the meal. everything we ordered was delicious--tuna tartar was one of the best I've ever had. the tuna was fresh and the dressing was light and refreshing and went perfectly with the crispy chips. the grilled octopus had the right amount of char on the outside but the meat was so tender it melted in your mouth. the duxbury oysters were meaty and fresh. the steak fries were cooked exactly how I asked--medium rare. and the fries were thin and crispy just like I like them. thr branzino was light and fluffy. I had a deliciously buttery chardonnay as well. our server, Ned, was perfect too. he was polite, prompt, and gave us the right amount of attention. he even deboned the fish for us! I cannot wait to go back!!!!
Great all around, wonderful evening. The restaurant was very aware of Covid safety measures. Felt very comfortable dining.
My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday night for a date night. I got the scallops and he got the steak, both DELICIOUS. The only bummer is that they were out of the octopus which we were looking forward to trying. Will definitely be going back!! Highly recommend
food was good but it took them about 20 mins to get our table ready even though we had a reservation. rapcaviar was great!
Definitely order the pasta. It was amazing.smaller portion for the price but delicious. Drinks were fine, not amazing.
This continues to be one of my favorite spots in Boston. Yes we are outside and it was chilly. But we dressed accordingly. There are a few heaters on the patio, but only half the tables are near heaters. The website warns this is the case and we wore heavy coats and were fine even thought we were not next to a heater. The food was stellar as was our waiter. My only complaint was the hostess. She needs to be more customer friendly. I have eaten here many times and have usually had a warm greeting from the host or hostess. This could have been better. All in all, a great meal and it continues to be one of my favorite restaurants.
Visiting my daughter at BU. Great night. Took the T to the pru table for 5. Inside as it was COLD out. My seafood stew was amazing but you have to like fennel ... i loved it. Martinis desert so good!
It's always been great at Porto, but they are doing an amazing job during COVID. Still a ton of energy and the food and service are great.
Protected outdoor seating was perfect on a rainy cold night.
We arrived for our 8:45 outdoor reservation only to be told outdoor seating is not available (what is the point of a reservation then?). Waiter was rude and dismissive - as if we were supposed to know that the branzino came with all the bones (they literally put overdressed salad on a piece of whole grilled fish...). He messed up our drink order and tried to Jedi mind trick us into thinking it was what we wanted. The kitchen seemed to run out of food when we ordered (I can understand COVID putting a lot of pressure on restaurants) but that’s no excuse for the poor quality service we received last night. No one wants to have dinner only to be lectured and dismissed by the waitstaff because they deem you unworthy of service. Cannot dissuade prospective diners enough to avoid this place at all costs. You pay a premium for the location but certainly not for the service or the food.
We ate outdoors on an unusually windy night in October. The heat lamps are pretty but don’t provide as much heat as the overhead variety. They do sell new little IKEA blankets on the menu for $5 which did the trick, but keep in mind it’s in a windy spot so dress warmly. The tuna tartare is delicious, nicely seasoned with sesame oil and tasty little crisps. The cauliflower starter was equally tasty. Scallops were cooked to perfection and the seafood stew was light, fresh and just right for a brisk evening. Hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We will definitely return!
Great experience. Sat outside. Food was delicious from appetizers to dessert. The meatballs, the burrata, the lamb and the warm cookie for dessert.
