Great food and excellent service from a Alex
Great food, terrible low lights and noise
The food is incredible. We would eat the halibut weekly if we could. It is just superb. We have yet to eat anything that wasn't prepared simply and yet with the most exquisite flavors. Sometimes the noise leve is high, especially when seated next to a larger party.
Unfortunately, the restaurant could not redeem my OpenTable points. Otherwise, the food and service were both great!
Poor, lackluster service combined with spotty execution in the kitchen left us feeling unsatisfied and over charged. I feel sad for any tourist who ends up here out of lack of creativity. Better off going to Eataly if you’re going to eat in the Prudential.
We were staying in the area and was looking for a place to walk to from our hotel. Found Porto and knew Jody Adam's other place Trade so took a chance and happy that we did. Stuck with shareable plates which is most of the menu. Had brussel sprouts with a yogurt based sauce that was excellent. The mussels sounded weird as it had buttered chick peas but glad we tried them. Mussels were big and plump and the broth went well with chick peas. A skirt steak offering was perfectly cooked. The place was pretty empty when we were there so very quiet. Service was attentive.
A tapas-style restaurant where minty-lemonish spices make chicken and falafel sing out loud, and seafood gets a surprising twist of Mediterranean sunlight. Excellent!
Absolutely fabulous- didn’t expect it to be so good- goid was innovative and quite tasty— big thumbs up👍👍👍
Something for everyone! Great small plates- lobster lettuce wraps: amazing, skirt steak: perfect for the meat lovers, best Brussel sprouts ever! Tables and seating a bit cramped, but otherwise a great dining experience!
Rushed! Undercooked paella. Disappointing as my friends were from out of town and did not expect to be rushed.
Wait staff was great; I think the chef/kitchen rushed the sequencing of apps and entre.
Loved the food and the service staff! A bit pricey, but for such a great meal in Boston, what the heck! As far as the food, the Meza platter was so good, but the seafood paella was fantastic!
Amazing food as usual and a great spot for a date or girls night!
Excellent meal, good service
Great food, great service, comfortable atmosphere. Terrific place to end a wonderful day or begin a terrific evening in Boston.
Very bland. Not bad but wouldn’t say necessarily good.
Halibut was overcooked, pasta was clumped scallops were overcooked, some mussels weren't cleaned well and had some small shells in my seafood pasta. Drinks were and server was good
Food was very good, and waiter was also good, but servers are rushed
Suffice it to say that my husband & I cannot wait to go back to Porto. Everything- Everyone was fantastic! We couldn’t believe how rapidly the delicious foods came out, just as we’d ordered.
Kudos to all & most especially to Alek, our outstanding server!!!
P.S. We were in for a pre-concert dinner on November 9th.
We love dining at Porto! Excellent food, service and environment. The Mafalda pasta is awesome, as are the falafels and brussels spout. Great oysters as well!
The halibut is one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. Simple, pure, flavorful delight!
We had a great meal with our team, but the service was not so great. Our waiter took the drink orders of a few people then left, came back and took a few more, left, then we had to ask him to take the last person’s drink order. Took several asks to get the check. Nothing terrible just kind of strange, especially for such a great restaurant.
The food is fantastic but the place is so loud that you can’t have a conversation with people at your table. They need to fix the acoustics!
I love Portos!! What a great place to dine. The paella is out of this world, yummy, tasty and full of flavor. Everything is great, from food to deserts.
Food was good, but not good enough to outweigh that they kept us waiting for a table for nearly one hour, and his was with a reservation! We waited at the bar, but there were no updates that might have led us to just eat at the bar.
They said in the end they would make up for this in some way. I thought they might offer a free appetizer or desert - but there was nothing!!
Sorry, maybe on another night it might have been better - but this was a bad experience overall.
Always a pleasant experience- if ordering mezze- have to avoid ordering too many
Prices were high and portions on the small side. But quality was excellent and we had a great waiter.
Love this place .. food is creative, not overpriced, and service was perfect. We'll be back !
Great place foe shareable meze plates! Reasonably priced, especially when in a group. We had a group of four who ordered a mix of cocktails and wine the meze board, 4 meze plates, and 2 pasta mains for under $200.
Skip the pasta “main” dishes, we weren’t impressed by either and there was plenty of food from the small plates.
First time at this restaurant. Eclectic small plate sharing was tasty and authentic all around. The meze board was easily shared among three of us in addition.
Wines red and white by the glass were reasonably priced and paired well with our choices.
Would definitely return
My husband and I were both pleasantly surprised. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful, pointing out the way to order from the menu and the food was excellent! Loved the small plate experience and had several different options to try. Each one was delicious. Would definitely recommend it to friends
Creative use of food and quality was evident
Would go back especially during theatre season in Boston
Is it a standard practice at Porto to add 20% tip on your bill automatically without asking your agreement? We only have 6 for dinner, not a big crowd.
Meeting and visiting family from out of state.
The food is fresh with good flavor. Service was quick and attentive to my party of 11.
The food was fabulous. I had the slow cooked Salmon which was a perfect balance between the fish and its accompaniments. Drinks were tastefully done as well. The service although pleasant was s-l-o-w! It took forever to communicate our order and even longer to get the check.
I'd come back for the food but perhaps pick a different time during the week as opposed to the weekend.
A delicious fun dinner, beautiful space. Eggplant fries are a must!
Party of 7- food was amazing and the service was also fantastic. This was our second visit and we will be back!!
My friend I were very happy about the food and drink this restaurant serves. Price was not cheap but not overwhelming either. We loved 5e ambience as well
Amazing service. Food was delicious. Will definitely be back!
Delicious food- service got a little slow towards the end but food was so good it didn’t matter much.
