Meeting and visiting family from out of state.
The food is fresh with good flavor. Service was quick and attentive to my party of 11.
The food was fabulous. I had the slow cooked Salmon which was a perfect balance between the fish and its accompaniments. Drinks were tastefully done as well. The service although pleasant was s-l-o-w! It took forever to communicate our order and even longer to get the check.
I'd come back for the food but perhaps pick a different time during the week as opposed to the weekend.
A delicious fun dinner, beautiful space. Eggplant fries are a must!
Party of 7- food was amazing and the service was also fantastic. This was our second visit and we will be back!!
My friend I were very happy about the food and drink this restaurant serves. Price was not cheap but not overwhelming either. We loved 5e ambience as well
Amazing service. Food was delicious. Will definitely be back!
Delicious food- service got a little slow towards the end but food was so good it didn’t matter much.
While visiting our daughter we took her & some friends for dinner. The tapas style plates were great for trying a large variety of dishes. The food was amazing, the plates looked beautiful & our server gave great recommendations. A fantastic restaurant.
We had the worst service at this restaurant. While our waitress tried to make the situation as good as possible, there is no excuse for the amount of time it took for our food, starting with the oysters to entrees to arrive. The service for the beverages were not much better. We contemplated going to this restaurant for 2 years. We finally did it and will never come back again.
Overall a great dinner! Sat at the kitchen countertop and it was amazing watching the chefs prepare the food. The paella was delicious. The service from our waiter though was subpar - our water was not refilled and required prompting; we had to ask for an extra dish for our shells.
A wonderful discovery! Great atmosphere, service and food. We'll definitely be back!
Service was pretty attentive, and our orders came out of the kitchen in an appropriate timeframe. Small plate selection was nice, food was delicious, and quantities were as expected. Would return.
I have been wanting to go to Porto for quite some time and I’m so happy I finally have. My guest and I stuck to the small plates and it was difficult to choose among so many incredible options. Everything we ate was fantastic from the Brussel sprouts to the falafel. Dessert was also very good as was the service.
With so many things to try, we are anxiously waiting to return!
Great food. Loved the bolognaise. The scallops were over cooked, but everything else was so good, didn’t affect my review!
The staff is really nice and we were seated right away. The drinks came fast and so did the food, BUT we were not rushed at all -- stayed from 7pm until closing time! Everything we ordered was very good -- muscles, scallops, brussel sprouts, chicken kebabs w/yogurt and lime juice. I consider myself to be a Foodie and it was a really nice experience. I was there catching up with childhood friends and we had a great time!
The mezze platter was excellent with lots of variety, and was too much food for 2 of us to share. We enjoyed the shrimp in terracotta very much. Excellent wines by the glass. Wonderful service. Only negative was too little a/c on a very warm and humid night.
Outstanding except for me the menus was too limited
Party of 7 with people trying dishes for first time. Loved the tapas/meze menu for that option, with a couple larger plates to share. Everyone raved about tastes and service. ...And enjoyed comparing favs. Definitely will go again.
We sat at the outside bar, the bartender was on point. It’s cozy with nice seating outside. The food was amazing. We will definitely be back
Had an excellent time celebrating my sisters engagement! Elissa sent out a champagne toast! all the food was amazing, especially the corn and peach burrata!
This was our first visit to Porto. It was recommended by a local friend who lives in the city and we were glad she made the recommendation.
Service was friendly and efficient. From the bar manager, Mandy....our server, and the food runner, we could not have been more happy.
The hollywood hills gin cocktail was refreshing and tasty.
Some highlights of our order were the farm greens salad, eggplant chips, falafel, cauliflower, skirt steak, and mushroom pappardelle. I do love mussels and have to say these were not my favorite although my husband enjoyed them. The were very large sized mussels.
The chocolate cream for dessert was delicious.
We look forward to returning soon
I typically love Port. It’s my Back Bay go to. My last experience was not good. Poor service Poor food. Really sad...
The service is lacking. My second time there, and the second time no one was at the door to greet/help me. I finally found my friend already seated in the dining room and joined her. Our server was clearly annoyed we did not order alcohol and that I have a gluten allergy and was inquiring about gluten free preparation. Or she was annoyed by something and just made it our problem. Not sure I'll go back...
Tapas to the extreme- done perfectly. Everyone had a choice
During our meal the waitress disappeared for 40 minutes, when she returned we tried to order more food but were informed the kitchen had been closed. The food we did eat was delicious, but the service was disappointing.
Small plate dining is hard to do in a group. It was fine but definitely not a great value
Porto's food is outstanding. However, I thought for the cost the portions were a little small...we left a little hungry & we're not big people. The waitstaff was excellent. We sat outside. It was chilly, we should have moved in--our mistake. Everything else was fabulous. Thank-you
LOVED the food! Amazing. I would return. It is tapas style and definitely on the lighter side in terms of the meal, we went out for ice cream after. It was worth it though!
Great paella, overcooked octopus, slow service.
Awesome, we came for the $1 oysters!
The restaurant was extremely muggy and warm. It was a rainy night and they had all the doors open which added to the humidity. We brought this to our server’s attention but nothing changed.
Great food and service, expensive for small portions but worth it I would say for the high quality and unique food. The $1 oysters special was nice, very fresh and well shucked. I will say I think the music outside was too loud, but other than that it was a great experience, will probably return.
I was visiting from Philadelphia and Porto was highly recommended. As tapas, the portion sizes were appropriate and every dish was delicious. I would like to give a huge shout-out to Jamilla, our very knowledgeable, friendly and personable server!!!!
We came for a birthday celebration. We were a little early for our reservation. When we approached the hostess she was not helpful, or accommodating at all. When we asked if there were any options she simply said we could eat at the bar. This would typically be fine however, when we looked at open table there were earlier reservations available. The hostess was extremely rude and made us feel uncomfortable. This was to the point where we almost left. Luckily a secondary hostess came and helped us. She was extremely helpful. Once seated we had good experience.
The food was phenomenal:
Whole roasted Branzino- A+
Service was a bit lackadaisical. Music on patio is lousy.
Food was excellent as usual. Everything was delicious. Especially love the mushroom pasta dish and fried Brussels sprouts. The mezze board was like a whole meal and was great! We went after a show so it was late so food came out quickly as kitchen was closing at 11 but that was our fault as we arrived late due to show.
It’s the second time we are going to this place and although very different experience on the table (“tapas experience” this time vs “starter/main course/dessert” the first one), we loved the food and we don’t have anything bad to say about the service... The only thing we liked less was to be in this room on the back of the restaurant; we definitely would have preferred the bar side... But great experience overall, we spent a good time...
