Porto boasts a large and beautiful patio space in the middle of Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. The menu is based on Mediterranean selections with a focus on Italy. Porto is located on Ring Road in Boston's Bay Bay, steps from the Prudential Center and Copley, next door to Saks Fifth Avenue.

Made reservations for my sister and husband and they were not dissapointed! The food, service, ambiance was told were amazing. Carla was fantastic and Porto made their last night in Boston unforgettable. Thank you❤

Such a great experience overall!
Gracious and attentive staff made my experience fantastic from the moment I was greeted at the door. I was dining solo but had the opportunity to try a few dishes; the arancini were divine, and the whole roasted branzino, while simple, was literally perfect (HIGHLY recommend this dish). They were featuring a fresh house made black truffle pasta dish which will definitely have me coming back soon to try. Thanks to Porto for a fantastic evening!

Our first experience will not be our last. EVERY dish we 3 had was a winner- from appetizers (octopus, Bufalo mozzarella, and salad) to entrees (seafood stew, lamb cops, wild mushroom parpadelle- pasta made fresh!) to apple crisp dessert (shared by two, the 3rd person was too full!) - every dish done to perfection and absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed a lovely Arneis (unusual wine seldom on wine lists).
The only weak area is their beer list- not one Belgian Abby ale- but that is true of most Boston/ American- restaurants.
We dined out often (in the 'pre-times) at many great restaurants in Boston and having EVERY dish to be excellent was very rare. Porto is such a rare gem and we hope it survives. If you choose to dine out, this is the place to go! - The Touws & friend

Outdoor dining was GREAT. Nice patio rather than a former parking space. Food was perfect as was the service. Forgot to get parking validated which was pricy. Don't make that mistake.

we had an amazing outdoor dining experience on a Saturday evening. the tables were well spaced and we fortunately had a table near a heating lamp as it did get chillier towards the end of the meal. everything we ordered was delicious--tuna tartar was one of the best I've ever had. the tuna was fresh and the dressing was light and refreshing and went perfectly with the crispy chips. the grilled octopus had the right amount of char on the outside but the meat was so tender it melted in your mouth. the duxbury oysters were meaty and fresh. the steak fries were cooked exactly how I asked--medium rare. and the fries were thin and crispy just like I like them. thr branzino was light and fluffy. I had a deliciously buttery chardonnay as well. our server, Ned, was perfect too. he was polite, prompt, and gave us the right amount of attention. he even deboned the fish for us! I cannot wait to go back!!!!

My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday night for a date night. I got the scallops and he got the steak, both DELICIOUS. The only bummer is that they were out of the octopus which we were looking forward to trying. Will definitely be going back!! Highly recommend

This continues to be one of my favorite spots in Boston. Yes we are outside and it was chilly. But we dressed accordingly. There are a few heaters on the patio, but only half the tables are near heaters. The website warns this is the case and we wore heavy coats and were fine even thought we were not next to a heater. The food was stellar as was our waiter. My only complaint was the hostess. She needs to be more customer friendly. I have eaten here many times and have usually had a warm greeting from the host or hostess. This could have been better. All in all, a great meal and it continues to be one of my favorite restaurants.

Visiting my daughter at BU. Great night. Took the T to the pru table for 5. Inside as it was COLD out. My seafood stew was amazing but you have to like fennel ... i loved it. Martinis desert so good!

We arrived for our 8:45 outdoor reservation only to be told outdoor seating is not available (what is the point of a reservation then?). Waiter was rude and dismissive - as if we were supposed to know that the branzino came with all the bones (they literally put overdressed salad on a piece of whole grilled fish...). He messed up our drink order and tried to Jedi mind trick us into thinking it was what we wanted. The kitchen seemed to run out of food when we ordered (I can understand COVID putting a lot of pressure on restaurants) but that’s no excuse for the poor quality service we received last night. No one wants to have dinner only to be lectured and dismissed by the waitstaff because they deem you unworthy of service. Cannot dissuade prospective diners enough to avoid this place at all costs. You pay a premium for the location but certainly not for the service or the food.

We ate outdoors on an unusually windy night in October. The heat lamps are pretty but don’t provide as much heat as the overhead variety. They do sell new little IKEA blankets on the menu for $5 which did the trick, but keep in mind it’s in a windy spot so dress warmly. The tuna tartare is delicious, nicely seasoned with sesame oil and tasty little crisps. The cauliflower starter was equally tasty. Scallops were cooked to perfection and the seafood stew was light, fresh and just right for a brisk evening. Hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We will definitely return!

I was thoroughly impressed. The food was absolutely phenomenal. It’s a real art to be able to cook octopus correctly. It wasn’t chewy!! It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The lamb chops were also perfect! They were juicy with a nice char on the outside. And the scallops were so carefully cooked and bursting with flavor. I cannot compliment the chef more highly. Our waiter was also really great: nice, attentive, informative, not overbearing. My girlfriend was in town for a week so we were going out to eat a lot, and we both agreed that our dinner at Porto was the best! Thank you so much for getting it!

Our waitress was rude! She was not happy with the fact that we only wanted salads. We had wine - but when she asked if we wanted to see dessert menu and we said we were not interested - she came back within two minutes with our check. We would have liked another glass of wine, but at that point it was clear she wanted us out of there. Her name was Savannah.

Everything was delicious...the octopus is so tender and flavorful, burrata creamy and delicious, great kale salad (and I am not a fan of kale) with a terrific lemony dressing , followed by the summer pasta.
To top it off we got the baked to order chocolate chip cookie a la mode, fudge and caramel sauce.
The staff was so welcoming and chef amaryllis came out to say hi!
We ate outside on the patio and dressed warm...love those Edison lights.

The food was outstanding. I had the fried chicken, which was delicious, but it also came with a side salad that was incredible too! I need to get that recipe. My daughter got the steak frites and said it was one of the best she's ever had. Service was excellent. Really appreciated the heat lamps on a crisp fall evening!

Excellent, interesting mediterranean cuisine. I had local oysters that were fresh and well shucked, followed up by a buratta salad and the grilled pulpo (octopus). The wait staff was very well trained and attentive. They have very nice outdoor dining under a large tent during covid time. Highly recommended.
