We were very excited to try Portico, but the service was horrible. The appetizers were good, but our steaks were way over cooked and it took forever to place a drink order. Even worse, they never cleared the plates. We literally had to stack the on the side of the table!
Very disappointed- not what you expect with this price tag!
Food and service were outstanding!!
My only complaint was NOT knowing that the tip was included. As a result, I paid the tip twice.
Although I did straighten it out with my server after the fact, I would have appreciated her stepping forward to point it out to me instead of accepting both outright.
She was a GREAT waitress but would like to have seen more integrity in that particular situation.
Everything was exceptional. I do however wander why we were told to go to the bar and get our coffee to have with our brunch. Also the lobster tails were a little difficult to get the meat away from the shell. But overall nice variety of seafood and dessert table. Also the waffle bar with different toppings was a nice touch also. I would definitely return again for a special occasion and recommend Portico for their Sunday Brunch.
Awesome from start to finish
Roland was terrific
I would and will recommend to my friends
Pretty disappointed in the atmosphere, very loud and disruptive. The drunk group next to us were shouting profanity so loud I couldn’t have a conversation at our table, yet the staff did nothing to deter this. Probably would have been classier eating at the buffet, we won’t be back. $39 Filet that I could finished in just a few bites and it didn’t come with anything else. Do not recommend this restaurant...
Went to a show at the Vine and then had dinner and it was AWESOME. Definitely worth the money the service was impeccable.
I was so disappointed in Portico this time. Service was fair, it was very noisy, and food was blah. Despite making a reservation over a month ago they stuck us in the back room, which was just plain noisy. No ambiance at all. Wanted this to be special for my friends, who were celebrating their engagement. We did get complimentary champagne though for the celebration. Ordered the special that was prime rib on the suggestion of the server. Meat came way undercooked, very fatty, and with a baked potato sliced in half with very little sour cream. Plate had absolutely no presentation whatsoever. I had to send my prime rib back and when it came back the second time it was way overcooked. Meat was tasteless, except for some horseradish sauce dip. My friends' meals were okay, but not great. Dinner rolls and coffee were great. For the prices they charge the food should be outstanding. I raved about this place after the last time I was there. My friends, who were celebrating their engagement, had never been there. I will not be back there anytime soon.
The food was delicious, but the service was incredibly slow and not particularly friendly. We waited over 30 minutes for our appetizers and at least another 30 after we finished those to get our entrees. Dinner took 2 hours just for the two courses. Also, the restaurant is very noisy, making dinner conversation difficult.
We (four of us) had dinner before seeing Jeff Foxworthy at del Lago. The food was great, service was excellent, noise level tolerable.
I requested bar seating and the hostess had no idea what I was talking about
the stakes were excellent...service very good and a good selection of wines...i would recommend this restaurant to anyone
My wife and I went there for our anniversary my wife’s meal was good but my meal was terrible. I ordered a 26 oz rib eye steak and it was tough .not what I expected for 60.00 !,, needless to say that it put a damper on the nite. I will say that the waiter and rest. Manger went out of their way to help. Not a good night !!!
I had the Venison steak. It was fantastic and my wife had the Veal chop, always the best ever!
Bogo deal was great. Food was good as was service.
Food was great, table service was slow and Impersonable, especially for a early Monday evening.
Our waitress asked if we had dined here before when she introduced herself and that was the extent of the small talk for the entire evening.
She found no reason to see why we were visiting, where we were from, or ask if we maybe had special occasion. Nor did she tell us anything more about the restaurant the dishes or anything else.
(We were celebrating an engagement & birthdays )
To top that, when the waitress first left us to attend to her other duties a young ladie came over to fill our water, while she there she was asked by our group about a dish on the menu...with which she responded that she would rather eat chicken fingers ... Just saying 🤦🏼♂️
Then things got better... Our appertizers and dinner came out at a good pace and everything we ate was delicious. Couldn’t have asked for better quality of dishes and the flavors we enjoyed Here were paired perfectly!
However once again as we were leaving the waitstaff let us down again. We were stuck waiting for our bill for a extended period of time and when our waitress returned she handed a dessert menu to us and didn’t even offer a small token of a apology.
We paitentently awaited her return again as she didn’t hurry back to get our credit card for the bill either... all said and done it won’t keep us from returning as the food was worth it but we do hope we have a different experience with our service in the future.
Great food. Always good Kobe meatballs delicious. Great dinner salad. Tomahawk steak amazing
First thing we ordered a bottle of white wine, came out room temperature. Food was horrible. Ordered filet medium and it came out overcooked...then they made another as we waited which came out raw in the middle...they took that back to put in oven for a couple minutes and it also came out medium well. Very disappointed. Along with that we ordered lobster tail to go with the filet and that came out raw. The brussel sprouts were coated with the same sauce they put with the fried calamari...did not go good together. The sweet potatoe was the only good thing we had.
Food was very tasty. Some of the portions were a little small.
Food was good. The service was unbelievably slow and ruined the experience. Our server had 5 small tables and would disappear for lengthy durations. We really wanted coffee and dessert, but there was no way we would wait any longer. It took over a half hour to pay the bill.
We were placed at a table right next to another couple when there were many open tables around
The food is outstanding as always and so is the service . We were a bit taken aback by the price of a "side salad" to accompany our entrees ~ $10!!!! That's near the price of the specialty salads listed on their menu!
sat for 30 minutes before we ordered - then waited another 40 minutes for food
food was ok, not great
baked penne was boring, chicken marsala was good, calamari was fair at best - slightly unde rcooked and sparse
A restaurant that touts itself as being high quality was missing most of what you expect from a high quality restaurant. No ambiance, no white tablecloths, very noisy and poor service. The roasted cauliflower side should NEVER be served again - someone tossed blanched cauli on plate dusted it with parmesan and put it under the broiler; we enjoyed the chicken marsala but the bread was not fresh. We would never try this place again.
Excellent dinner! I had veal Parmesan, which was spectacular! It was crispy and oozing with the best smoked mozzarella, came with a head of roasted garlic which was yummy, as were the bread and tapenade. I ordered the lobster and avocado salad which was excellent, and my husband ordered the quarter wedge of butter lettuce with a truffle dressing and lardons. His prime rib was good, but I thought there were better things on the menu. The service was excellent, except that the server provided the requested beer for my husband without a glass and simply placed a beer bottle on the table. The price was up there: 2 dinners with salads, 2 glasses of wine, one beer, one dessert and 2 coffees—$156.00 before tip. However that veal parm made it worth the cost!
The salads were very good, and they were accommodating to dietary restrictions. Staff had no idea what was in anything from foods to drinks, seemed lost at times. Pasta was crunchy very very under cooked. Lobster on salad was perfect, lobster in pasta was over cooked and not properly prepared. It required digging in with hands to remove from cream sauce covered shell.
Delicious meal, excellent service, great meal choices.
The food was great the service was also good our waiter Michael was very helpful.
Dinner was scrumptious - and our server (Sara L.) was very attentive - making it an exceptional dining experience. Will return.
We took a trip from Jersey to the Finger Lakes for my fiancé's birthday. We were never there before and decided to stay in the casino for a night and I found this restaurant on open table. I decided to give it a try for this special occasion. We were not disappointed.
I thought the restaurant would be a bit more crowded but then again it was a Sunday night so most people left for the weekend. We were seated in a nice comfortable booth and were decided on some before dinner drinks which were delicious.
The cheese and meat board was chosen for our appetizer and it was delicious! We were happy with that choice and knew right then and there we were in for a treat.
Dinner came and 2 of us had the filet mignon which was cooked to perfection. My fiance had the veal chop and he remarked was the best he's EVER had!
To end the evening off, a piece banana cream pie was delivered with a candle for my fiance's birthday which was so nice because I wrote it on my reservation on Open Table which I forgot about !
All in all, this was a top notch restaurant with great service by Roland and great food by the chef. When in the fingerlakes again I would surely return!
We arrived around 12:30 with a reservation. The tables and restaurant were a disaster. We asked for silverware, salt and pepper and a few other items multiple times before finally receiving them. The lobster that was on the buffet was lacking substance to say the least. I asked our server to heat them up and that took almost 20 minutes to be returned to us. The waffles and what was left of the deserts were rock hard. We were told that there was no more lobster or prime cut to be served and were given a discount. I ordered an omlette and to my complete astonishment and revulsion, the chef actually picked out a mushroom with his bare hand and ate it while continuing to cook the omlete!!!!!!! Needless to say, we left right then. For 3 people to eat, it cost me $120. I will never be returning amd I am an elite card member at this casino.
Came for my wife's birthday after having an enjoyable dinner a few weeks before.
Had brunch. Food was cold. Tongs resting on food--not sanitary.
Oysters appeared old-no liquor or vibrancy. Omelet person needs work.
These days par for the course for brunch. Too bad.
Earlier dinner was much better.
This was not what we expected. It was better. We were told to try it but the price did not seem like we would great the value. It was better as one could have lobster and other high end food and desserts that we were not expecting. Did not have to wait for table and the waitresses were extremely accommodating. Next time, as a waitress suggested, we will get the warmed up lobster.
Our waitress was friendly and courteous. She recommended great drinks. She also explained menu selections . THE food came to the table in a timely manner and was excellent in flavor and presentation .A job well done
. I must admit I anticipated a more sophisticated dining experience: it was average at best! Not worth the pricey menu
$18 for cosmopolitan martini was overpriced and very weak drink. Bread did not wow us and the salad was very dry. Main course of filet and veal chop were spectacular and side sweet potato with carmelized brown sugar was to die for. Overall good but things to improve upon.
Outstanding food and a wonderful waitress named Sarah. Sarah has waited on me several times and I have enjoyed every time. I have even asked for her on Sundays for brunch. She is helpful and courteous and checks on us to see if everything is OK. I have eaten at the Portico several times and have never been disappointed.
Food and service were amazing! Only complaint easd that it was very loud in the restaurant
The food was terrible. The restaurant was very nice with friendly service. I couldn’t even eat the chicken Marsala, and my husband’s portion was maybe a half cup of pasta.
Fabulous spot! We were seated right away and the staff was very friendly and knew the menu. Our waitress could answer all of our questions. The wine was outstanding as was the menu options and quality of the food. The seafood was perfectly cooked and all the pasta is homemade. Exceptional. Very generous portions. It was worth every cent. Can’t wait to come again!!
The worst service I’ve ever had at any restaurant. Ruined a special occasion and we left after two hours without eating our main course. Saw the waiter twice during this time. Awful experience.
