   Spectacular views, staff really attentive and professional without being overbearing, food spectacular. Eating here makes you feel as if you are somewhere really special whilst still having a really relaxed vibe.

   Service was terrific, lovely choice of drinks. Menu was slightly limited but what we selected was well cooked and delicious. Tender stem was slightly under cooked for my personal liking but we are all different. Desert of mille feuille was one of the best I've had Lovely evening.

   I cannot fault the food which was very good. I was surprised how much the prices have increased from last year. I know their energy costs have increased. I thought the 12.5% service charge that was automatically added to the bill a bit cheeky and made the overall bill even more Probably will not come back at these prices.

    Stunning setting, delicious food and a warm welcome to a quiet restaurant. Our 2 well behaved dogs were also made welcome which is so helpful when away from home.

    The restaurant was excellent . Lovely welcome from Nick , fantastic food and happy to work around my onion allergy. The matching wine with each course was amazing and Toby was interesting and full of information about each different wine . We had a lovely evening and will be back .

    I was ‘told’ you must go to the Porthminster Beach Cafe if you visit st Ives….so as always I did as I was told…and what can I say the meal was truly fantastic! I went for my girlfriends birthday meal and we both said it was some of the best food and service we’d experienced in our time in Cornwall. In particular the staff are truly amazing. We had the tasting menu which was great…my only slight gripe is I felt it was a little over priced..but only a little👍🏼….almost forgot the view over the beach really made for a perfect afternoon evening.

    Service and setting are to be commended but the food was very average, we had a far more enjoyable meal in St Ives for a third of the price. Sadly the prices do not reflect the quality of the food.

    Nice location along the beach. We loved the service and the food offer. Only disappointments were with the starter,I actually got 1 scallop for the scallops dish and with the Fish curry,where I found a whole star anise and wasn’t really rich in fishes(5 mussels, 1 king prawns, 2 prawns, 1 small piece of monkfish). One of the dessert, the millefeuille was raw,but they were happy to remove it from the bill.

    We had a lovely lunch. The food was great and the beach setting stunning. The service was extremely friendly but the food was a little slow to arrive. The food was absolutely delicious, everything we ordered was well cooked, tasty and high quality. It is a tad on the expensive side, particularly the starters. Good wine list.

    We enjoyed a fabulous evening at the Porthminster Beach - The staff were very accommodating for us and very attentive - the food was very enjoyable too and we all enjoyed a large cross section of the menu on offer. Well priced and a great location. Will certainly visit again

    Great food welcoming staff it's dog friendly too . We had a lovely table in the window with beautiful views A lovely waitress called Scarlett who was very attentive from the beginning to the end who was able to to recommend the correct dishes for my wife's allergies.     Absolutely amazing. Flavours, wine recommendations, service and atmosphere all fantastic. Was the perfect location for our first wedding anniversary after having breakfast here last year on honeymoon. Shame we live so far away but would whole heartedly recommend it

    First time visit (mid week in February 2023) for dinner. Great location, somewhat lost as we ate in evening ( dark). Parking a pain ( at local train station) with 5 minute walk back to restaurant - steep steps from car park , you should be aware of. Service was very warm and welcoming throughout. Simple menu but all looked delicious. We passed on starters and close monkfish curry and catch of the day ( skate wing). Both were presented well, hot and ample portions and very tasty - monkfish curry winning both our votes. Desserts of treacle tart and creme brulee with rhubarb sorbet - again delicious. We booked table early evening(6.15pm) and on leaving, restaurant was almost full - so BOOK in advance! A lovely meal, service was very good and location stunning -on beach. For those on tight budgets , there are possibly better value options in St Ives but given the location, very much worth visiting.

    Iconic venue overlooking the beautiful Porthminster beach - wonderful innovative food too. We have been coming to Porthminster Beach Cafe for many years and it is still as good as ever - in fact, It really doesn't get better than this.

    A great venue with lovely ambience though a touch chilly on a January evening. The menu was interesting and some dishes excellent as always, but some slightly disappointing considering the cost. The service was impeccable as always. Thank you for a lovely evening.

    Had high hopes for the food after hearing reviews but was totally disappointed. The sauce on my vegan option was stone cold (I had to check that it wasn’t supposed to be cold as it wasn’t even lukewarm). I sent it back and refused another one (as it was also smaller than a starter and was £21!) The monkfish curry was way overpriced at £33 and the sweet potato was hard with only one piece of monkfish. Have no issue with paying top dollar if the food is good but this is way overpriced and not well made. On a side note, the young lady who served us was amazing and so we still tipped her even though the food wasn’t worth it!
