   I’m afraid our experience fell far short of our expectations. We’ve eaten here before and we’re looking forward to our return. Beautiful day. Able to sit outside and attentive waiter. Starters good -if GF options a bit restricted. My GF hake was amazing but my husbands skate had a strong ammonia taste. It was quickly replaced with apologies. Sadly the second plate was exactly the same and inedible. Very disappointed! Such a great location and a beautiful afternoon spoilt for us.

   We booked here for the lunchtime special - 3 courses for £37 each. My partner had the calamari to start whilst I had the pork cheek - both were very tasty and I especially loved the cashew nut cream. Mains were lamb shoulder for him, whilst I had the hake. Lovely size piece of fish with crispy skin, but the more I ate, the more it felt quite salty - which was a shame. To finish my partner had crème brûlée which he said was one of the nicest he has had, whilst I also enjoyed my ice-cream with espresso. Service was very good and the views are exceptional. Good value for money too. This was a return visit and I am glad we went.

   We have been a few times to this brilliant restaurant and it never lets us down. Incredible food, lovely staff and one of the best views in the world over the beach to beautiful St Ives. And welcomes dogs too - if you can, it’s always worth a visit

   We were a family group with children and dogs. We had a delicious lunch while enjoying panoramic views of the beach and beyond. Staff were super kind and helpful. All of the food including the children’s was of the highest quality. The tempora pork cheeks, beautifully cooked skate and hake and the monkfish curry were some of our highlights. Very good value for money given the quality of the food. Highly recommended.

   Such a lovely atmospheric and dreamy place the service is top notch with the staff caring and very pleasant the food is always wonderful just a lovely 5star experience

   Porthminster Cafe is well staffed and welcoming. You are looked after efficiently, yet in a friendly and relaxed way. The food is simply best I’ve had for quiet a while and I am totally won over.

   Came here to celebrate a big life event and make it a date night while on our vacation in St Ives. The food is the real highlight and needless to say some of the best we have found on the island. The basa was cooked to perfection and the dessert was the perfect cherry on top 😉 We will be back again surely!

    From the moment we got there we received a very warm and friendly welcome. Highly professional staff talked us through the menu. All 6 of us all had different dishes all exceptional. Highly recommend this restaurant for visitors to St Ives
