   Been several times. Was disappointed that we couldn’t change the fries with the lobster to chunky chips that were on the menu with other mains. We were told “No you can’t. They’re from different potatoes which the chef has to cut. He’d go mad if I changed them on your order. I’ve done it before and he shouted at me”. We asked, what do you mean they’re from different potatoes? The answer: “Your fries come in a big bag. The chunky chips have to be hand cut. They’re very different”. Since when did a Michelin listed restaurant served bagged, presumably frozen fries? Needless to say none of this was impressive. Diner service and care certainly didn’t feel important; not to mention the quality of the served humble potato. We even offered to pay more for our “hand-cut” chips but were told “no, it’s not possible”. First world moan I know but it’s a highly rated St Ives restaurant , so can surely do better.

   Excellent food - couldn’t fault any of it. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion. Great location overlooking the beach.

   Another simply delicious meal...chapeau to the chef. The service again was perfect with real care taken...I spilt half a glass of wine - immediately cleared up and another glass provided. Whole experience is exceptional...and the views!

   Beautiful location with friendly and attentive staff. Food was very good had scallops to start, two main courses were excellent lobster linguine and monkfish curry. Highly recommend.

    Super food from a varied menu. Being based on the edge of the beach we weren’t sure what to expect but it was a class experience. Staff were great as well.
