Porters offers a modern Australian dining experience in the heart of Williamstown. Owners Zoey and John opened the restaurant in September 2018, creating a diverse and delicate menu to complement their spacious, stylish venue.

We are open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30 pm, offering an exquisite dining experience paired with an award-winning wine list.

Our function spaces are available 7 days a week, perfect for any occasion, from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations.

I visited this restaurant on a quiet Thursday evening and found the experience to be a bit of a mixed bag. The food itself was quite flavorful — clearly some thought had gone into the seasoning and combinations, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the presentation didn’t match the taste, and the dishes arrived looking a little underwhelming and squished on the plate. Service was generally okay, though not particularly attentive given how quiet the restaurant was. One odd detail stood out — we were given a butter knife to cut into what turned out to be a fairly chewy steak, which made for a frustrating experience. Overall, the meal had its highlights in terms of flavour, but a few basic oversights in service and presentation held it back.

A mid-week roast (incl Yorkshire pudding!) will always be a firm fave. Delicious food and a warm welcome at a great price.

Was presented a specials menu, only to be told there was nothing left except for one serving (there were four blokes out for a meal). Entree was very bland and main was very disappointing too (Steak served with two small pieces of broccolini). I went home and made something to eat as I was starving. We wont be returning.

Porters is our favourite got to restaurant for those special occasions. Zoey and the team always make us feel very welcome and the menu provide so many delicious option.

Porters for the Roast Night was fantastic. Everyone in my group had the beef and it was the best we had had in a long time. The vegetables were delicious too. Highly recommend. Great value for money.
