   We celebrated our anniversary at Porters last night. Had a res and got right in. As before the service was impeccable and we got a table right by the window. Food was very tasty and the drinks were good too. They even comped a dessert for our 47th! Its a pricey place but for a special occasion, we highly recommend.

   We were promptly seated. Our two cocktails were promptly served and were delish! We had filet and pork chop- both were perfectly seasoned. Our sides included Brussel sprouts and Mac’n cheese. Overall good food , wait staff was helpful and attentive. We had a pleasant meal :)

   Honestly the food wasn't that good. My wife had a filet which was just a poor quality of meat and was heavily oversalted. I had the Chilean sea bass which had way too much miso sauce on it. The risotto had no flavor and the mac and cheese wasn't that good either. It was very crowded and noisy.

   Porters was a really enjoyable restaurant in a great location. The food and drinks were great and the waitstaff was awesome. Definitely will be returning.

   Lukewarm food. Ugh. The kitchen made a mistake preparing one of our three meals. So, they let the other two sit while they re-made the third. Kitchen manager came out to apologize and explained the delay was because they were re-making the third meal. But then when the came out, two were lukewarm--obviously those two were left to sit while the third was remade. Ridiculous. When you pay top-dollar for a meal, it should be hot. Really poorly done, Porters.

   We expected Porters to be a top notch steak restaurant, but it was pretty average at best. The waitress may have been new, but was very forgetful. The main reason for the lower review was that the steaks were extremely over cooked. My daughter ordered medium rare and got well done as well as another in our party. I had the lamb special and the meat was so dry and over cooked. There was also only about 4-5 bites of edible lamb meat on the two lamb pieces. For a plate that was almost $50 you’d expect a better prepared serving. The sides were the redeeming items, however the steak fries came out barely warm and soggy. The Brussel sprouts were delicious.

    Great food and service. Our server was very attentive. We had the best crab cakes for appetizer and Porters filet for entree. The macaroni & cheese was delicious. We were too full for dessert.

    Honestly some of the worst steak I’ve ever eaten, very upset by the quality the kitchen put out, food was also cold by the time it hit our table, and our coffee was forgotten but at that point I just wanted to leave rather than ask and wait for it. Won’t come here again, spent $300 for a meal that gets beat by a $20 roadhouse steak

    I love Porters! Come here everytime I'm in Aggieland. Dinner was great except the ribeye. It was flat and thin and felt like a steak at a cheap restaurant. I had two bites and sent it back. I don't think I've ever sent back a steak but this was highly disappointing. I'll be back but not sure if I'll order steak.

    If you want a classy dinner go to Porters. Everyone is going to make everything they can so you can have the perfect dinner. They even have a sommelier to help you choose the wine.

    The risotto was not hot, nor were the scallops. However the shrimp had a wonderful grilled Smokey flavor. The brussel sprouts were very good! Was not impressed with the lobster tail - not hot and tasted undercooked. The flounder was also very good. Next time, we’ll try the steaks. Overall a nice restaurant and Nora was a great server.

    This was my first time fine dining and experiencing it with my amazing man for Valentine’s Day was exquisite ❤️ I loved the atmosphere and how we were able to have a conversation without yelling haha! It was so nice and I can’t wait to come back! Did I mention that the food and service was amazing ???? CAUSE YALL, it was so good!!

    We had Valentines Day dinner at Porters. We’ve dined there several times since they opened and have typically had good experiences. This time not so much. Traffic was much heavier than anticipated on our way to dinner, and at exactly 2 minutes past our scheduled reservation time my husband received a phone call from the hostess, making sure we would still be there for dinner. We explained the situation and she proceeded to say that she sees in the notes that it would be our first time dining with them, and wanted to make sure we knew where they’re located (?). We looked over the drink list and the seasonal cocktails were all still Christmas themed. Our meal was just ok compared to the other times we’ve eaten there, and the high price paid. It honestly wasn’t even very busy during the hour we were there, with numerous open tables. Our waiter was EXCELLENT, and if it weren’t for him it wouldn’t have been enjoyable.

    Nice atmosphere, fantastic service. If I can give any suggestion, order your steak, “Pittsburg” cooked, as it chars the outside nicely while leaving the center rare (as my preference.) It’s pricey, but all is worth it.

    The drinks and cornbread were really great. We haven’t been out in a really long time. It was a great experience. You are paying for the experience not the food. The food tasted good but wasn’t anything over the top. My husband did not complain but had found a long hair in his food and would not let me say anything. I understand these things happen but when you are paying these prices, come on. I’m not a fan of being asked what kind of water I want out of 4 choices. It caught my husband off guard and he felt flustered and ordered distilled. I knew there would come a time in the future we’d start paying for water at restaurants and here we are-$8. We ordered calamari as an appetizer-it was okay. I had the ribeye, Caesar salad and we split the macaroni. My husband had the special-whichever fish plate it was but wish he had gotten the steak. There were two other tables there that had sent their steaks back. Bottom line-if friends wanted to go there as a group we would but I don’t see us going back again to pay that money for okay food.

    Service was great as always. I was a little disappointed that my steak was overcooked when I asked for medium rare. In fact, that is what my waiter recommended, nevertheless, it was well done which I don’t prefer. Other than that, it was okay at best this time we visited.

    Steak was undercooked. It took a long time for main dish to arrive after finishing salad. It wasn’t crowded so not sure what the problem was. It’s an ok place to get a steak but we will try another option next time in town.

    Indicated on our reservation that this special evening was our anniversary, our 46th not that it was ever asked or acknowledged. Obviously I was walking with a cane and we were first directed to a raised seating area with one side booth backed seating and tall chairs on the outside. When asked to be seated elsewhere we were accommodated but with limited choices since “all tables were reserved” though we were the third table to be seated in a room of at least a dozen 4 tops. 6 pm seating and there was no bread service … “we’ve run out of our corn bread” and no substitution. No complimentary anniversary dessert to be shared, but no acknowledgment of our “special occasion” had been made at any time … at welcome or seating, ordering, serving or at checkout. The dinner was a gift so our disappointment didn’t cost us. Unfortunately our report back to the giver will be “thanks for the gift … the food was really good … the experience was underwhelming and disappointing.”

    Our waiter Cody was delightful. The meal came out uneven. 3 orders came out together, the other two 5 minutes later. Dessert was delivered, but the desert cocktail was delivered much later. Nice atmosphere.
