   I was a little disappointed with the food on this night. My boyfriend and I had both been to Porter's before and felt like the steaks we ordered weren't as good as they had been on previous occasions. The sides and dessert we had were delicious, but the steak didn't feel worth the price tag compared to what we've had at other similarly priced restaurants in town. Our server Madelyn E was fantastic, it was really just the food that didn't meet our expectations.

   Chilean sea bass and wedge salad were delicious. Then they missed the mark on cooking steaks to the correct temperature and had ours and those tables around us sent back. Then had them cut the same steak again down the middle. Offered a complimentary birthday dessert, then charged for it. The waiter was schmoozing for a good tip and then didn’t follow through with checking the bill he brought or bringing us the waters we ordered to go.

   We came to this place for the very first time and it was very subpar. We received our appetizer before the bottle of wine we ordered. I had to ask our waiter to bring the wine before we ordered our meals because I felt like we would’ve never gotten it. Our main entrees came out VERY quick and we ordered multiple side dishes. The carrots, broccolini, and mashed potatoes were phenomenal however the ribeyes we ordered were sub par. I definitely think the steak should’ve been better for the price and I don’t mind paying for steak that’s well prepared. Unfortunately we weren’t impressed with the lack of service and steak quality. This is a white tablecloth establishment and if you want higher quality service this isn’t the place for you.

   My experience at Porters in College Station was highly disappointing. I had to wait for my table despite having a reservation, endured a 20-minute wait for a drink, and was charged an unreasonable $2 for a large ice cube. The main course, featuring Chilean sea bass with bland black rice and overcooked carrots, was underwhelming, while the burnt Brussels sprouts added to the overall disappointment. The lack of attention to detail and poor service make it difficult to recommend this restaurant to others.

    The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the food was fantastic. I was with a group and everyone enjoyed themselves! The Ribeye was the best option by far. The filet was good but was smoke heavy and not as juicy as I would expect at this price point, but cooked to the right temperature. The sides were the star of the show! The Brussel Sprouts are a must eat!

    Absolutely wonderful time celebrating graduation dinner here with a party of 8. Sam H was an amazing and attentive server and all other staff were super friendly! Our waters were never below 3/4 full and the table was promptly bussed as soon as we were finished. The manager also checked on us to make sure we were having a good experience and complimented me on graduating personally. Drinks were great and everyone thought the food was delicious especially the pork chop and steaks. Everything here was perfect and we all had a wonderful time and will gladly return.     Terrific venue, food and wine. Lovely ambiance for our celebration dinner for 2. Oysters and champagne to start, then steak tartare, calamari and burrata tomato salad with wine made a beautiful dinner complete.

    Me and my girlfriends reservation was for 8:30pm, April 18th. We arrived on time and was left standing in the lobby by ourselves for 10 minutes since our singular table was not ready. 10 whole minutes to do that. We finally got seated after an unnecessary amount of time next to 2 drunk guys who were being extremely obnoxious. The manager kept bringing them wine and alcohol when it was obvious they should’ve been cut off. The manager also was laughing with them and sitting with them showing each other stuff on their phones. Which is completely immature and irresponsible as a manager. They started yelling curse words and smacking the table and they still weren’t kicked out? The servers decided to laugh instead and the manager did nothing. We ordered Quail legs as our appetizer, they were RAW. No quail leg should be dripping red liquid and completely blood red on the inside. The server said it was fine and did nothing about it. My girlfriend was so uncomfortable she felt the need to inform the servers about it. We then talked to the servers to get us moved to a different table in a different section due to the drunk men. We will never be coming back to this mess of a resteraunt, absolute disgrace of a steakhouse. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Overpriced and an embarrassment to say the least.

    First time to college station to visit tx A&M with our son. Our server was a very sweet and polite Aggie. Not his fault at all, but our drinks took FOREVER and did not arrive until after our entrees. We enjoy sipping our cocktails before meals arrive, way too slow. And chicken not cooked well on salad. Not impressed, wanted the experience to be much better as our first meal in college station.

    Server was fantastic. The food was not. We ordered a special dry aged steak, they cooked the wrong one so had to remake it. Instead of remaking the sides and accompanying salmon dish (as you would expect or offering to bring them out anyway when they were hot) they let them sit for 15-20 minutes bringing out cold risotto, overcooked salmon and cold vegetables. Very disappointing for an upscale dining to have that happen.

    Had Brunch while in town for family weekend. Dont know how we haven’t tried this place sooner. 6 of us total (4 college students) and everyone raved about their meal. Our waitress was superb as well! Very kind and attentive. Cant wait to go back

    Porter's is our "go to" special events restaurant when we are in College Station. The food, the cocktails, the wine, the ambience and the service are top notch, but wow has it gotten expensive! We've been here three times over the past three years and each time it's gotten pricier and I think part of it is that business folks go here and charge theirs bills to expense accounts. For those of us that pay out of pocket, it's a tough bill to swallow. Unfortunately, this was probably our last visit, sad to say.

    We celebrated our anniversary at Porters last night. Had a res and got right in. As before the service was impeccable and we got a table right by the window. Food was very tasty and the drinks were good too. They even comped a dessert for our 47th! Its a pricey place but for a special occasion, we highly recommend.

    We were promptly seated. Our two cocktails were promptly served and were delish! We had filet and pork chop- both were perfectly seasoned. Our sides included Brussel sprouts and Mac’n cheese. Overall good food , wait staff was helpful and attentive. We had a pleasant meal :)
