   Porterhouse is one of the best steakhouses. The quality of the steaks is better than most other steakhouses in my opinion. I had the Kansas City Bone-In New York cut. It had sensational flavor and the meat quality was just amazing. It’s all dry aged steaks. And they have the Wagyu if you want to get that. It when their regular steaks are that good, who needs Wagyu? We started with the oysters that were exceptional from Virginia. These ere exceptional., perfectly fresh and delicious with the two classic sauces. Then we had the scallops which come three to the plate. These were also great, perfectly cooked, except the sauce was a little too salty. Next we had the beet salad, which was split for two. And it was exceptional. And for our last appetizer we had the Foie Gras. For a while this dish was banned in CA. And it’s rare to see it on the menu so we had to order it. And it was amazing! This is the real deal! It’s served with bread and the sauce and liver have such a wonderful flavor with the bread. And steaks were just delicious. Yes, I think Porterhouse is one of the best steakhouses in the Bay Area and beyond.

   Don’t come to this place. We ordered a cowboy steak. No dry age flavor at all. The first server said they have 7 days, 14 days, 21, and 28 days dry-aged steak. Their cowboy is 28 days dry-aged. We didn’t buy it. The second came server said every steak is above 28 days. We told him no flavor at all. Their boss came and said the cowboy was 10 days dry-aged. He said he would handle it but didn’t do anything at the moment. We finished the dinner. During the dinner, the server never talked with us, asked how was the food, but kept talking with guests of the other table. We also waited around 40-50 min for the dishes, although not many guests yesterday. When we checked, the cowboy was not waived off. They still counted it while the boss said he would handle it 45 min ago but did nothing. He could have asked whether we wanted to switch to another steak or return it when we were talking to him. He just waited until we finished and charged us. We argued. He said he owned the restaurant 30 years and had never seen guests like us. Some words are even worse and unacceptable: “Shame on you”, “you are cheap”, “pay the bill and never come back, or we call the police”. Server kept lying when knowing nothing about their food. Simple dishes need 45 min. Uneducated boss refused to admit his mistake and kept talking rude words. I’m tired to talk more details. The worst experience of eating outside.

   Excellent steak and lobster, salad, soup. Everything was perfect. Such great service too. Can’t go wrong at all eating here

   We had a super great evening. So grateful to staff and cooks/chefs, It was a spacial celebration and we could not have picked a better restaurant. We brought members of our family who had not eaten there yet and they loved it. Thank you Porterhouse!

   We had booked a table online and as soon as we arrived, we were taken to our table. The waiter arrived almost immediately after we settled in, for our drink order. There were seven in our party and the drinks came in a timely manner, with warm bread and butter. The waitress followed up after a time for us all to decide what to have and she offered the specials and was informative on how big the portions were and if we wanted to split anything, how they could double plate anything. It was a wonderful experience and the food came out hot and delicious and exactly how we ordered it. Compliments to the bar tender as our drinks were very made to perfection! Overall we highly recommend Porterhouse, for an evening of good food and great service!

   This was my third time at Porterhouse and it was the best. The beef Wellington was top notch and the service was impeccable!

   My husband and I came here for our first wedding anniversary. Not only was the food incredible at Porterhouse but the ambiance was excellent. The staff is so friendly. The owner was as in the restaurant and greeted us at the door. His warm welcome and and kind spirit is what will bring us back again. You can tell he really pours his heart into the restaurant. Thank you, Porterhouse.

   We shared the wild mushrooms and Brussels sprouts for our appetizer for the 4 of us. They were delicious! We then shared the chicory salad. It was the only dish that was mediocre. One of us had the mixed grill, another the 20 ounce porterhouse and the other two each had the 8 ounce Filet Mignon. All were outstanding and cooked perfectly! Melted in our mouths! We shared a bread pudding for dessert. Very tasty. Our waiter was excellent! The entire staff was welcoming and we look forward to returning!
