Excellent wine tasting in an idyllic setting.
Relax vibes with stellar wine!
Beautiful winery that we love so much! Jonathan is so amazing and lovely that we wish we were close enough to visit every weekend. ❤️
I took my brother here for his birthday. Such a great experience. Great biodynamic wines.
Very nice wine tasting with knowledgable host. No food
Peaceful, unpretentious and family-run little winery surrounded by beautiful mountains. The staff were so welcoming and warm, and you can tell the owner takes great pride in his humble vineyard! This place is simple and down to earth. Very refreshing to come across such a peaceful winery in the heart of wine country! Definitely encourage all to visit and support this wonderful spot.
Wonderful views to gaze at while sipping on generous pours of biodynamic wines. I loved the viognier the most and the zinfandel is lighter in body and alcohol than most fruitbombs. So pleasing to drink! The service is friendly and attentive, without being TOO attentive. Seated tastings by appointment might be the best thing that has come out of this pandemic.
One of my favorite vineyards and tasting experience! So down to earth and peaceful. And the wines are organic which is surprisingly rare in the area.
Great Winery experience. Lovely atmosphere and great service. No food, just wine.
It started with the perfectly blue skies, moved on to the absolutely delicious wine, then there was the fantastic care that we received from Jonathan. We look forward to visiting again, likely after our next trek to Na-PAH Valet!
Upon our arrival we were met by our server Jonathan who cleaned a table in the back, in the shade. He brought us our first wine and indicated that we should watch how much we taste since it may be lot of some of us. He explained the wine and the vineyards from which they were grown.
He gave us time to chat with our friends and did not rush us with the tasting. I should note that I ranked 5 stars for food but there was none but I did now want that ranking to lower his service.
We had a lovely tasting experience at Porter Creek. Outdoor tables are situated well apart and ours was immediately adjacent to a field of vines. The hosts were casual yet informative, allowing us to set the pace. The wines were varied and interesting. Highly recommended.
This vineyard was fantastic. The wine was incredible and the service was extremely knowledgable. They gave us great information about the wines, as well as recommendations for the surrounding areas. I would definitely recommend it to a friend and go back myself.
A great small winery that provides a relaxing atmosphere, good wine and great service. Very enjoyable!
Jonathan always makes us feel right at home and the experience is fantastic each time. It's always our first stop when we land in Santa Rosa! Thank you so much.
Delicious wine and amazing service. We loved our experience with Jonathan who made the day wonderful and educational. No question we would return to Porter Creek Vineyards!
Amazing experience! Cosy small winery with French style californian wines!
We love this vineyard. The Russian River valley is beautiful and Porter Creek is bucolic beyond words. They are by far my favorite biodynamic winery as well. A must visit.
Ali and Jonathan were awesome. We had a great time and would definitely recommend porter creek to friends and family!!!!!
Jonathan and Alexis were the most gracious hosts and made our wine tasting experience comfortable and fun. The wines were superb
Always a favorite, this little winery is so charming and low key yet with wonderful pinot and chardonnay. Worth a visit just to chat with the charming host and even more charming dogs on the property. Not like those more corporate feeling experience s I am coming to loathe in this region.
Amazing amazing wine! Wonderful service from Ali, gorgeous setting—all in all a fantastic experience. Always enjoy this special place!
Great wine and Johnathan was very knowledgeable! Also the setting is absolutely beautiful.
Delightful sunny visit to Porter Creek. Extraordinarily knowledgeable and friendly staff serving a beautiful selection of Porter Creek's wines. Lots of outdoor seating areas, spread far apart to far surpass COVID requirements. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and the information imparted about each wine we tasted.
Jonathan was a great host. We were a group of 6 and had a most amazing time!
Jonathon is the best!! Great wine too! Excellent service!
Gorgeous and great wine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not sure why I have to rate food for an establishment that doesn’t serve food...but if wine is food...the food at Porter Creek is delicious. I hope post pandemic that they never go back to counter based tastings. This was civilized relaxing friendly and overall a wonderful experience. And their organic wines are among my faves
The winery felt like being on someone’s farm.Very rustic and the wines were a very good value.it was well set up for social distancing with picnic tables far apart so you never felt uncomfortable. The chicken coop was also an added feature to the farm like atmosphere.loved it!
We love Porter Creek, one of our favorite wineries!
We decided to visit Porter Creek Vineyards for one of our first road trips since the pandemic started. We had heard of vineyards where the precautions for COVID were less than scrupulous, so we were a bit worried, but the reviews that we checked for Porter Creek gave us assurance that they took things seriously.
They certainly do. Tables for tasting are well spaced. While Porter Creek's tasting area is not as picturesque as some places, no views are bad. Carly scrubbed the tables down well between parties and both she and Jonathan had good mask hygiene.
Carly and Jonathan were attentive, humorous, and knowledgeable. They kept the wine and conversation coming, but I'm sure that if we hadn't wanted to interact with them as much, that would have been fine as well.
Porter Creek wines are good mid-priced ($30-$50, mostly) wines at least some of which are organic and biodynamic. We really recommend visiting them!
So glad we found this winery. Would recommend to everyone visiting the area.
AMAZING experience. Jonathan is the best host, so accommodating, kind, and genuine. The wine is to die for and the atmosphere leaves nothing to be desired.
I love this winery! Not only is everything delicious, but you feel like the staff are welcoming you into their home. It's cozy, beautiful, and not pretentious. A must see!
The service was absolutely amazing. We had a great time with both of our hosts and the ambiance was perfect. Highly recommend this vineyard for anyone looking to relax and enjoy themselves. My favorite wine on the menu that day was the Viognier.
This was a wine tasting, not a food review. The wines were fantastic, and the information provided about each one was helpful and specific. Beautiful outdoor setting with plenty of socially distanced tables.
Jonathan was a great host and we love the wines. We will return on our next visit. They don’t have food but open table required a response to submit a review 🙄
Jonathan is one of our favorite people. We have kicked off every trip to Napa with Porter Creek and will likely continue to do so. He’s super knowledgeable and so friendly. Fiona Hill is one of our favorites but if you can manage to snag some of the Syrah, do it! The space is fun and welcoming.
I have visited with friends twice this summer and both experiences were wonderful!
Always great hospitality, even better wines. Some of the best Pinot in California, these are world class, age-worthy wines.
