Porta Via - Pacific Palisades
Had lunch here on Friday reservation was for 12 but my GF ran late I asked them to push it to 12:30 and they were so accommodating . We sat outside and ordered salads I had a chopped salad and we added a chicken my gf had the kale salad , we started with the tuna poke with 5 chips ( could use more)
Good service great ambiance .
Always a great selection of food & pastry
Food was delicious and service was great
Tables are too small and too close together, typical of today’s restaurant design. Crowded, noisy, and your table gets bumped when people have to get up.
A nice place for a good salad at lunch. Staff was friendly and honored our reservation in a timely fashion.
Very nice food and ambiance.
Great New Years Eve!
Our first visit shortly after opening was excellent.
This time a month later wasn’t, primarily due to food quality. The egg white scramble was burned, the toast was soggy not toasted, a small metal cup held 1 tsp of jam- but since the toast was so limp it wasn’t used. The juice orders came half way through the meal. There was a classy touch the first visit with layered juices, that’s gone. We did not arrive at a busy time.
The hostess was efficient but not congenial. I was looking forward to sharing a great breakfast/brunch experience with friends and was very disappointed especially at $120 for 3.
Good food and good service but the noise level inside the restaurant is off the charts. Outside dining is very nice and much quieter.
Comes close to great. Setting is retro bistro. Food well prepared and interesting. Major shortcoming is that it’s loud. Not in a good, high energy way. More in a clanging, detracting from my meal, way.
We each enjoyed a delicious dinner. Branzino was excellent, tortellini, filet mignon, linguini and clams all so very good! Service was excellent. Small, a little noisy but nice ambience. We’ll be back!
Kitchen forgot to add flavor to food. Beverly Hills location is better.
Wonderful addition to the Palisades - right in the heart of the new Caruso mall. Very festive, wonderful room and patio. Light Italian casual food.
We went to Porta Via for a business dinner with our financial advisor and requested a quiet table. We were seated next to a table with three screaming toddlers. Room at table for two to sit in booth, third person uncomfortably accommodated in hard chair (numerous tables besides ours had this arrangement). Our entrees--chicken paillard, whitefish, and an Asian-style chicken dish--were uniformly overcooked and dry. Vegetables tasteless. All three of us left half our food on the plates. Do not recommend on any level.
Great service friendly and accomadating , great Brunch highly recommend
Love that they take good care of our fire stations as well
Casual and comfortable
Food was great and so was service - only problem was it was so cold in there- they left the doors opened and everyone was wearing their jackets!
Food was great - test run for Christmas Eve. Server was Excellent.
Third time there and it’s been consistently good! I had the branzino this time and the dish was perfectly prepared. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us frequently. Always a plus!
Good service and food. Great patio - bright and comfortable. The only negative is the food supplier delivery trucks parkd adjacent to the resturaunt patio in the morning.
Nice location. Everything else is pretty dull. Plain tasting pasta dishes, far away from an Italian eating experience and overpriced and boring entrees. Overall experience ok due to the outdoor seating and nice surroundings but please get a chef that can cook decent and authentic pasta dishes with homemade pasta. I will continue to have my pasta experience at Tratto across the street for now but it’s disappointing to see a restaurant with this location and nice interior can’t get their kitchen act together.
My husband and I dined there Sat. night and we had a great corner booth inside. Our waitress couldn't have have more attentive and never rushed us.since we ran into several people we know and got aught up in many conversations over our drinks. My husband had a wonderful Tequila Old Fashion, which was different and very tasty. The food was fantastic and all the staff were just great. We will definitely become frequent visitors.
Porto Via is the best restaurant at the new Palisades Village. The food is delicious and of high quality, service is excellent and the ambiance is just right. The manager, Ryan is professional and knows how to run this restaurant.
My go to options are usually the caesar salad, salmon and a glass of wine.
Was a beautiful sunny day, sat outside for brunch. Nice outdoor ambience even though tables were squeezed tight together. Menu looked so good. We were extremely excited for a new brunch spot. Unfortunately, it was one of those situation where the food did not taste as good as it was described on the menu. Bread was stale, eggs over cooked, meats not tasty or seasoned well. Very disappointing over all. Server tried but the kitchen was very slow and made a few mistakes on the order. When we noted the mistakes, the server looked resigned which is not a good sign. New place, been opened over two months. Expected that after two months, they would have their act together. Disappointing.
Had an amazing meal, at little small inside and the outside needs more heat lamps and possibly blankets for outdoor dining in the winter
Food pretty good, had tuna sandwich. Server very attentive. Pretty noisy but able to have conversation. One gross thing - the cushions on the booths are badly stained already. At least at our booth. Maybe need to recover in stain resistant fabric or clean frequently.
Great atmosphere and good. Will definitely be returning
Love how they are giving back to the community and giving back to the community by raising funds for firefighters.
Our server was lovely but the length of time to get drinks was too long for such a small venue and when the cocktails did arrive they were weak. Melted ice which tells us they'd been sitting at the bar too long and they were not very good.
Also, the women's restroom was very very dirty. No paper toilet seat covers, paper all over the floor, wet counter just a real mess for such a nice restaurant. I told the on site manager so hopefully the room got cleaned up.
Best new place in Pacific Palisades
Pleasurable pretty good fresh food pretty decor nice service
Love having them in the palisades! Delicious food and very nice people who work there!
Went for lunch and the inside booths are very comfortable. It's a good place for a casual lunch with a friend. Had the impossible burger which is fabulous as was not in the mood for pasta. My friend had a salad which was decent.
Nice menu, pleasant surroundings, new restaurant of an established brand. The other one I know of is in 90210.
Requested side salad with main course, got the wrong one and they brought it as a starter. They took it away and replaced it with no fuss - very professional. But again as a starter. The guest told the server it was to be eaten with the main course and not to wait to serve the main course. Must have been asked 7 times b different staff if the uneaten salad was no longer wanted, we ended up defending the plate like it was a prize.
One guest requested no bread on the main dish - gluten free - got bread on top. One guest requested dish cooked medium well, got medium rare.
maybe just teething problems and definitely nothing that would stop me trying this place again
Very surprised that on one of its first Saturday nights in business, the ones who threw the wild opening night party left the place to be staffed by children. Chaos at the entrance, lit up bright like a diner with food that was nothing like that offered in Beverly Hills. When we asked for bread with dinner, it was as if we wanted foie gras. Food from all the Palisades Village restaurants tested so far seem to come from the same hotel kitchen. Diners, discuss.
The manager Jose , the service the food was awesome !
