   We had a lovely lunch in the bar today. The menu changes constantly and there is something for everyone. There is a lively atmosphere and beautiful views from the windows.

   Really nice experience at port of Leith distillery bar. Visited to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We had cocktails and drinks no food but all drinks were lovely and served quick. Special mention to the server that looked after us, I didn’t catch her name but young lady with ginger hair. She was absolutely spot on, customer service was excellent, really attentive and flexible with a lot going on with the table, big well done to her and all the staff. We will return.

   We booked the 4 course tasting menu as we are both foodies. I spoke to the events manager prior to our booking to ask if they could accommodate a battered fish and chips as we wanted my father, the plainest eater to join us. The answer was yes so off we went. Our 1st course was bread and butter, 2nd, a bowl of lettuce with goats cheese. 3rd course was lovely, coley in a yum sauce, although it was tainted by the fact that my father was served a piece of grilled coley which was not what he asked for. We declined desert and a glass of bubbly, our 4th course as we just wanted to leave. The waitress was so lovely, helpful and apologetic. The events manager arrived and had no recolection of our conversation from the previous day! Apparently it was all a miscommunication, and on top of that, the chef didn't have any batter!!! Prior to leaving, the same events manager informed us that the chef was now able to offer a fish in beer batter. A bit too late as we were ready to leave by then. To sum up, don't have the tasting menu, don't ask for any adjustments and don't expect an explanation or God forbid, an acknowledgment that the error was theirs. On a plus, the waiting staff are excellent. Very helpful and professional

   Lovely lunch and drinks with a fabulous view from the various. Staff were excellent.

   Lovely place with pleasant staff and a nice ambiance, but service was very slow and the menu isn't vegan friendly. The sourdough bread was delicious. I had the gnocchi for my main course with a side of chips, and my companion had the trout and the crowdie. I have to say that the Lind and Lime gin sorbet is wonderful and I would come back for that alone. It's not cheap but it is good quality food. The espresso was good stuff!

   Everything was fine, although the 12.5% service charge was a bit high, unfortunately this has made it doubtful we will return.

   Really enjoyable meal, food was excellent and staff were friendly and attentive without being over eager. Lovely setting, would recommend, we did the tour first and was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and evening.

    Arbroath smoky scotch egg a winner again.  Great new menu. Lovely staff. Still wonderful views. We will be back.
