We had a wonderful experience here as we have always had in years past. The oyster appetizer and pimento with crackers were both perfect! The swordfish was delicious and large enough for both of us. The second entree was a bit dry so we mentioned it and both shared the ample portion of swordfish instead. They were gracious enough to comp the other entree. The servers were very helpful and gave good advice on the wine and food. We highly recommend the restaurant!

The red neck egg rolls were okay to me but my husband enjoyed them! I personally enjoyed the crab cake. The pork chop was delicious. The salmon itself could have been seasoned more! The coconut cake is a must have! My only regret is that I didn’t get two pieces of coconut cake. I would definitely go back!

We enjoy Port Land Grille every time we go. It’s one of our favorites and never disappoints. The steak tartare is absolutely amazing along with the steaks and desert. We enjoyed the wine and Calvin always takes excellent care of us. Thank you. See you soon.

This was my first time eating at Portland Grille. I had heard mixed reviews before going from friends and family who are locals. Our waiter was very personable and answered all of our menu questions. He was very apologetic when the order didn't come out as expected and did everything he could to make it right. The food itself was good, not great. The outdoor seating area is lovely.

Our dinner was outstanding, Brandon provided us with exceptional service and was greatly accommodating. I will definitely be returning with more family and clients. The white chocolate peanut butter pie was out of this world, great recommendation.

We live in Mt Olive and always love celebrating special occasions at Portland Grill. The service is always excellent and the food amazing. Last night was no different. I always look forward to the Molten Lava chocolate cake but the Chocolate Torte was delicious and gave me my chocolate fix. The wine choices are amazing and our waitress made a wonderful suggestion. I was so pleased to see a Duck dish on a menu as it’s one of my favorites. I thoroughly enjoyed the dish and look forward to our next visit. Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday…everything was perfect.

We sat outside and our waiter checked on us only a couple of times total throughout dinner. Our waters were consistently empty. The food took a long time to come out and when it did, one of the fish dishes we ordered was raw and had to be sent back. They brought back out the same piece of fish that had been microwaved and then charged full price for it - this is unacceptable for a $50 dish. The appetizers and dessert were all delicious, but overall we left disappointed.

Every year that we vacation in Wilmington we are never sure if the restaurants we favor remain at their excellent quality! So happy to have another fabulous meal at Portland Grill ! Love the ahi tuna crudo, red neck egg roll ( greatly increased in size!) the fried green tomatoes were dry and could have used an aioli! Our entrees of duck, lamb and filet with lobster butter were mostly outstanding ! My bok choy with the duck was grilled but tough to eat and even cut! Our desserts blueberry bread pudding and our all time favorite coconut cake were fabulous! Loved our Old fashion cocktails and always great selection of wine! Overall a great experience again! Great and friendly staff and prompt service!

As always, Port Land Grille is the best! It's usually our go-to for a date night but my husband had a work associate in town and we knew exactly where to take him for a fabulous meal and our meal did not disappoint. We ended up with an extra in our group of 3 and Ann was able to accommodate us, which we appreciated immensely. We had a drink at the bar before our meal and Keith was gracious as ever! Joe was our server and he was awesome too! We had grouper, salmon & mahi and everyone raved about how delicious they were. Obviously, we'll be back!

I feel like the portion size was on the small side . My husband had the porter house pork chop but it it was small. I had the strip steak that was on the verge of being well done when I requested it to be cooked medium. It came with smashed fingerling potatoes that didn’t have much of the garlic flavor that was described on the menu Along with three asparagus . The steak and the asparagus was to blackened for my liking . I wasn’t aware that they prepare the food this way.. we were there for a weekend so we ate there. I wouldn’t go back.

This was my 4th visit to this great restaurant. We had the same server we had a year ago (Laura) and she was wonderful. The cowboy cut rib-eye was outstanding, fed both of us plus leftovers. Will definitely go back.
