Portland Grille amazing as always!
Totally enjoyable. Fantastic food and supper waiter provided wonderful service
Calvin was a great waiter and very knowledgeable regarding the menu…. Food is amazing. Outdoor seating makes for a beautiful setting. One of our favorites!!!!
Best meal since moving to the area a few months ago. Great menu and everyone enjoyed everything they ordered. And service was also delightful. We will be back!
Excellent food and service
service and ambiance spectacular. Food very well prepared and served. Might want to cut back on the salt in the apple cobbler.
First time back in a couple of years as we finally moved down here full time last October. Read some recent reviews and was a little concerned but, our dinner was fabulous on all levels. My husband and I shared the "Red Neck" egg rolls and their wedge salad, they were delicious. I had the blackened snapper and Kevin had the chicken, we both loved the selections that we picked with our entrees. Our server Joe was very nice and did a great job. We will not be waiting long until we return.
Our waiter was amazing. The wagyu Beef Meatball appetizer and Tempura Green Bean Appetizers were on point and delicious. For our main courses, we ordered the Bison Ribeye and Halibut. The Bison was dry and chewy, though the flavor was excellent (it was a texture issue). The Halibut was a tail portion and was extremely (visibly) over cooked. Our waiter was kind enough to have the chef prepare another piece, which was cooked perfectly. While waiting for the second piece of Halibut, the hostess came back to our table and commented that I was unsatisfied with the preparation of the Halibut. She commented, “That’s just how it is.”, which we found to be incredibly rude and off-putting, as I am quite familiar with how Halibut should taste and be prepared. Completely unnecessary commentary and we wondered why she came back to our table to (basically) tell us that we didn’t know what we were talking about in the first place, as our waiter was taking care of the situation. Dessert was the cheesecake, which was wonderful. Overall, the menu is simply too large to do each dish at the level of quality they are attempting to achieve. Not worth the prices. We had high hopes, but will not be returning.
Busy night. However, service was unacceptably slow. Waiter had tables all over the restaurant. You could wait 20+ minutes
Lovely meal and service is friendly and good. One of our favorites!
All a great time and experience at Port Land Grille. We go there for all of our special occasions and are never let disappointed.
Great. But they quit serving bread
It was a wonderful night. Birthday dinner. Food was excellent as usual and Calvin was fantastic!! Already looking forward to our next visit!!
Food was delicious. The outdoor dining space was excellent. Wait staff was courteous, prompt and kind.
The food was excellent. My Husband and I both had filets. They were cooked perfectly and one of the best I have ever had and were worth the price. Neither of us had the sauces put on the steaks as we prefer prime meat without anything detracting from the great flavor of the beef. The sides were also excellent. The tuna appetizer was super along with the warm chocolate tart for dessert. The service was only fair as we rarely saw our waiter who never came to our table while we were eating the main course. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the noise level is low. We have eaten here many times over the past 20 years and they continue to have high standards. My only negative was the service.
Beautiful venue outside. Great food.
Entrees were A bit pricy but 90% worth it
Good service, nice selection, ample quantities and nice ambiance.
Portl Land Grill is one of our favorite restaurants in Wilmington…and we have been going here for 20 years. Consistently great food, service and ambiance. Great from appetizers to entrees and desserts. You won’t be disappointed.
This restaurant is a fantastic upscale place to eat. Great food and terrific service.
Menu changes for the seasons, so always a new dish to experience.
Well seasoned Bass but it was overly dry. Apparently it was a thick cut from a 40 lb catch...chef erred on the side of overcooking unfortunately. Meal overall was tasty...for the ambience and price point, I would've expected perfectly prepared Bass. Steak temp was a bit all over the place...medium in 1/4 of the steak, medium well in the remainder...we ordered medium. No, we didn't send the bass or the steak back...we just wouldn't return for anything more than dessert or drinks. Reservation was promptly honored
Our whole experience was excellent from start to finish, from the service to the drinks, food and dessert. This will be one of our favorite restaurants!
We had NY strip, Halibut, and Salmon for entrees. The preparations were the ravioli and double baked potato. For dessert, we had the Chocolate Chess Pie and the Coconut cake.Everything was very good. The service was outstanding.
Excellent service and food. Great menu with a variety of choices. We had a table outside in the beautiful courtyard. Food was very slow coming out of the kitchen but waiter/manager was terrific updating us and took care of the first round of drinks. Staff shortages are an issue everywhere so I don’t think it’s fair to ding them on a busy Saturday evening. Will definitely go again.
Staff is wonderful best place to eat. Looking to book them for my wedding in the future. I love their food so amazing
Food was very tasty. My steak arrived exactly the way I wanted it - which never happens. I was very pleased.
Really lovely dining experience. We sat outdoors, very comfortable, quiet, romantic setting. Excellent service. Large portions. Definitely would revisit.
One, if not THE BEST places to dine in Wilmongton.
The food and service were excellent.
We had a nice table outdoors. It was a wonderful experience.
Best steak (and arguably meal) in town, combined with outdoor seating out back (as opposed to facing the street or parking lot). Great wine selection. Right mix of classy and casual. All well worth the cost for an occasional night out.
Excellent food and nice sized portions. Wonderful service.
This was a date night dinner. It went great, the food, service and everything was perfect. We are never disappointed when selecting this outstanding restaurant.
We were actually quite disappointed in our experience. The staff was wonderful and friendly, but the food was very average. We both ordered fish and we chose a preparation that sounded amazing. What we received, and what we thought we ordered, were very different. The fish was well seasoned and nicely cooked but the risotto had no flavor and it was swimming in a strange, overpowering tomato soup-like sauce. We also ordered dessert and were a bit underwhelmed there as well. The creme brûlée was dense and lumpy. The highlight of our meal was the watermelon salad. It was beautiful and delicious. For a fine dining option, overall this won’t be on our go-to list.
Good was excellent, as always, and plentiful! Drinks were fantastic. Server was attentive and kind. Area was clean. Ambiance on point.
The service is soooo amazing at this restaurant and tonight did not disappoint.
Excellent menu. Excellent food and presentation. Service was terrific and outside was delightful! Dessert was amazing!
Food was fantastic but service was sub par. While I understand we Fe
Outstanding service accompanied with exquisite cuisine, YUM!
Everything was fantastic, food, service and wine!
Great food, great service, great atmosphere, large portions, what more can you ask for? Wilmington’s best restaurants. Joe was our waiter, he is excellent
