Really good meal with really good service. Overall, quite enjoyable.
No issues whatsoever.
Oyster Rockefeller had enough spinach on them to serve a family of 6 as a side item and was not washed well.
The filet was charred on the outside and very rare inside to be cooked Medium and was cold when served.
Complimentary Key Lime Pie for our Anniversary. Great we get it to-go. Get home it a Peanut Buttery Cheesecake Tart type dessert.
Cocktails and Bread were they only things we enjoyed at our dinner.
Had a 7:15 reservation. Kitchen overwhelmed. We did not get our main course until 9:00pm. Waiter was very apologetic and communication was very good. Manager came bye and offered us a drink to apologize. Then he proceeded to charge us for drinks. I will never go back again.
Worst food and experience I’ve ever had at Chop
House and we go a lot. So upsetting to me that the quality of food could be this bad.
Hostess seated us near a family with 4 small noisy children. And, my tall husband’s chair was in the middle of a high traffic area. I would suggest the hostess better evaluate what a middle-aged couple might prefer for a restaurant of this calibre and how uncomfortable it is for a tall person to put up with traffic around their seat.
Food was pretty good. Service was not very attentive.
Overall good experience. Decor needs updating and a little attention to detail could really enhance the guest experience.
The food is always good but it is even more expensive than before. I am sure it is due to Covid price increases on everything.
We dined at Port City Chop House on New Year's Eve. The place was very busy, but we had the best waiter, Nick. He really seemed to love his job. Very enthusiastic!
We enjoyed oysters Rockefeller and pork chops. All were delish!
Will definitely return.
Another great dinner...thank you.
2 great meals, excellent friendly service. will dine again.
Service was it an issue but we were served a crab cake that resembled a hockey puck burned to a crisp on one side than plated to camouflage and severely undercooked steak. If you want a great steak go to Ruth’s Chris. Would not recommend this restaurant
Worst experience in 15 years of eating at this site. Made early reservation, as frequent guest. Arrived 5 pm…seated in bar..order confused..we have been here many times…unlikely tonreturn
Everything we ordered was delicious. Always a treat to eat at the Chop House.
Our FAVORITE restaurant for special occasions! Never disappoints. Excellent!
Our first time there and definitely not our last. The food and the service were second to none.
For a Thursday night there was no parking we had to park behind the restaurant in the hotel parking. It seemed the kitchen was backed up as our courses lagged in between however the food was still awesome
Amazing dinner and amazing service. We were disappointed to be seated in the bar since we had a reservation for almost a week. It was fine this time but I’d be hesitant to rebook for a special occasion for this reason.
As usual, our dining experience ranked high in every regard. Port City Chop House remains a favorite!
It was our first time at this restaurant. Our server was nice. Although we enjoyed the meal, we felt the food was very average for the price we paid. It was also very loud where we were seated since there was a large party (16 people) were also seated in the same room with us.
Very nice decor. Quiet. Service was a little slow. Bruschetta toast was somewhat burnt, not enough basil. Food is good but overpriced.
Outstanding, delicious meal from the new menu. The best, most unique house salad I have ever tasted. My filet was cooked to perfection. Our server, Kevin is in a class by himself. Perfect service, immediately at hand if you needed anything. He knows exactly what to do and when to do it. A most wonderful evening at a first-class restaurant.
We had a tough time deciding what to choose from the menu. Everything looked delicious. Our choices were extraordinary! A special night out - we’ll be back again soon.
We were there for a birthday celebration and were able to be put in the back room which was less noisy. The service was excellent and the food was good and reasonably priced! Will definitely go back.
Celebrated my birthday and food was amazing and they made a lovely birthday dessert surprise. Always an enjoyable experience!!!
Dinner was great. Waiter was super nice too. Thank you
One of my favorite places. The Cowboy Ribeye was disappointing this time around. Kitchen did all it could to destroy otherwise awesome service. But Ill still go back.
All fine - except booth seating! Springs are sprung and are most uncomfortable - everyone complains.
Time to retrofit seating - not just wallpaper!
Very disappointing food. We have been going there for years and loved it. Menu changed and quality of food has become very poor.
Lovely evening with friends. Service was great!
It was our anniversary. This is our favorite restaurant.
We've been here before and the service and food was excellent. Eric our server was top notch, ask for him.
Had to send my lobster back for more cooking. Brought my filet home to cook more. Was way too rare. Had to tell waitress it was a special occasion. I guess they were not informed by my open table reservation that we had a birthday at the table.
My favorite of all the Chop House's I've visited. Wonderful friendly staff.
We were very unimpressed by this dining experience. My tuna so full of membrane thatI could not cut it with a steak knife. Zero flavor. Three out of four meals were simply not good. So many great choices for dinner in the Wrightsville Beach area that I will not be going back. Unfortunate as well since it is so close to our home.
From the time we walked in till the time we left, nothing but friendly smiling professional staff. Food and service was excellent.
Our meals were delicious and cooked properly. Our server, Will, was kind and attentive. It was a nice meal all around.
Celebrating our son’s 50th BD. I ordered lamb chops - the others ordered steak. The steaks were very good. Unfortunately my chops were extremely fatty and strings of cartilage. I cut around the first chop but the second one was so tough and uneatable. I told the waiter that I was not happy with my meal. I’m assuming he told his manager- after clearing h dinner plates- he came back with a piece of lime pie for the table. Not the compensation I would have expected from this Restaurant. Especially paying $48.00.
This was our first time at the Chop House, we heard so much good about the restaurant. Unfortunately it was not my experience.
First time there it was great food place and waiter were on time
Some of the best food in Ilm, and the best steaks. We also enjoyed the lack of annoying, loud music so that we could actually converse.
