Porron and Pina
Great food, seriously solid and creative cocktails. My dining partner and I shared a single entree of paella plus some tapas. It was all well executed and tasted amazing. My only quibble is the paella was a smidge too salty. I am still dreaming about the short rib empanadas days later. This is a welcome addition to downtown, the likes of which don’t exist anywhere in greater Hartford.
Great food and service. Good handicap facilities. They made my Mom’s evening very nice.

It’s a beautiful space located in the very cool Goodwin hotel, where no detail is overlooked. The hospitality is excellent and the food is even better. Every single thing we had on the menu, and we sampled quite a few dishes, we’re outstanding! If you are anywhere near Hartford, don’t miss enjoying a fabulous and creative cocktail and a delicious dinner at Porrón!

Great first visit. Went before a show and enjoyed their cocktails, chef’s jamon and queso plate and fish special entrees. Everything was delicious, especially the chocolate donut bread pudding!

Awesome food, people and locationn
We had reservations and were seated in the bar section of the restaurant near the hotel lobby. Noise from a hotel event around the corner was a bit noisy at times, although we could still hear our conversation easily. Our score of the ambience reflects the bar location. The food was amazing. We recommend it if you enjoy Spanish food.

Having been before, I was impressed by the level of service from the bar to the waitstaff on this relatively quiet night in the restaurant. The food came out promptly- hot/warm and was fresh. Drinks were great. The others in our party hadn’t been before and said it was some of the best tapas they have had before and one of if not the best restaurant in the Hartford area.
The cauliflower risotto was AMAZING. Excellent service as well.

Creative menu with interesting twists on old favorites. Dining room a little loud when full, but manageable. Waiter and staff were outstanding. Great variety of wine choices. Definitely be back for more.
Great Food with a different menu. Different in a great way.
Louder than we would have liked, especially since there were only a few parties dining.
Love the tapas. Our server was great - didn't rush us. Glass of wine and marcona almonds - perfect start.
Then we had several tapas - mushroom toast, tortilla & pork cutlet. All were great & just enought to fill us up prior to going to the theater.

We have recently had dinner at both Porron and Pina; the food and wine selection is the same at both, and it’s stellar. We had dinner in the lobby seating area the first time and were able to listen to the live jazz on a Friday night. They brought us a tray for all the tapas we ordered since our table was petite. The restaurant is very attractive, and our server was knowledgeable and friendly.

While the adjoining bar was tough and lively, the restaurant lacked the same uniqueness. Food was ok, munu had unique flavors but food was good not outstanding. Restaurant lacked life comparatively. Good... not outstanding.
Perfect for a lighter, pre-show meal of tapas. Enjoyed the varied wine selection as well.

Our first time here. A group of us go to Hartford Stage and it's very convenient to walk here. Enjoyed the ambiance, courteous staff. Nice wines and food was delicious and creative. Bit pricey even for fine restaurants.
This was our first time dining but we love Spanish food and Porron and Pina did not disappoint. We went with friends and probably over ordered but everything from the cheese plates to the tapas to the Paella was excellent. Cocktails too. We had a nut allergy in the group and the waiter was very knowledgeable and took great care to ensure food and drink could be safely consumed. In my mind any restaurant that seriously addresses nut allergies is 5 star in my book. The restaurant itself is beautiful and elegant. Love the round booths. We will be back!
Later reservation, so our seating was fairly close to kitchen (a definite no for me) and it took some time for our server to approach and he failed to ask if we wanted a drink, however, the remainder of the service was excellent and the food was superb. Steven, our server, was friendly and very forthright about the selections. We ordered the ham and cheese assortment (Valdeon blue from Spain, and Mahon) as an appetizer along with chorizo-stuffed mushrooms with watercress and mahon(delicious). Entree was Branzino over cannelloni beans with chorizo/fregola/kale stew - wonderful mouth feel. We also ordered te Paella "Valencia" -- wonderful. I would pass on the desserts. Typical Churros, a bread pudding, and an almond cake (meh). If I'm going to have the calories it has to be fabulous. We will return.

Wish it was a little less noisy and the music was a little more restful. The food, however, was stupendous.
We had a nice time at Porrón and Pina. The lounge at Pina has a really nice feel for a pre-dinner drink and the cocktails were well balanced. Dinner at Porrón was definitely good and the service was very attentive. We were eating before a show, so we kept our choices to the tapas menu, all of which were prepared well. If we are back in Hartford, we would certainly eat here again.
Had a very enjoyable dinner. All smiles and great service from the host to the waitstaff. Food was served promptly and very tasty. We will be back again!

We got there late into happy hour and had a little trouble getting service. I think the back waiter did not want to overstep his responsibilities. (He waited for the waiter to give us a menu. But overall it was great.
Amazing food and service, as always! Love Tyler's new take on the Shisito peppers with that new tangy sauce on them. We were obsessed! Thought they couldn't get better than they already were, but I was wrong! Churro donuts are always a hit! <3

food was a bit underwhelming. The $25 risotto and orzo
was a splurge and chosen for the black truffle ingredient. But there was no sense of any risotto only the orzo
That was disappointing. The salad was fair. The octopus was quite good. Nothing really against the place. Just ok
