Food was really good; initially surprised about the size of the apps but that was short lived once the entre came. The service was a little slow and the waiter/bartender never gave us much chance to react after they had asked us something. Overall, great food in a small space
Pros: The food was delicious! The decor and atmosphere of the bar/restaurant was very cool.
Cons: We made a reservation following a graduation. There was only one person working which seemed odd on a UIC graduation day. So the service was inevitably a little slow. Also ordered a bloody mary and they didn't have them. I don't think I have ever been to a bar/restaurant that didn't serve bloody marys. Again just a little strange.
Overall we would recommend giving it a try.
It was very cold and the service was horrible. Initially, we were not given any menus, yet after waiting 10 minutes, a server came over and asked what we wanted to order. We ordered appetizers but all of our food came out at the same time.
Not at all what I expected....food was good and service was equally good.
Was hoping for a new tasty restaurant for restaurant. Unfortunately this wasn’t it.
We went there for dinner and after walking in it was pretty empty except for the loud family who had kids running around like it was there house and you can tell they have been there a while because the server never went over to them, the tables and floors were sticky, the bathroom looked like we were at a late night bar and it was only 530 on a Sunday. We had intentions to order dinner but only got as far as appetizers. We ordered nachos with pork waited 20 mins for them and they finally came out cold and by the looks of they I wasn't sure I was at a high school cafeteria or BBQ joint, the taste was ok it was mostly chips with a little cold cheese and cold pork. After that we left.
Ate at 9:00 at night. Restaurant was not crowded at that time and were seated right away. Food was great.
We didn't like the selection of the menu or the food. The fried chicken had no seasoning, the green bean were not good, but they did comp us for that. The grits were absolutely horrible, the were lumpy and hard, my husband put butter in them and tried to fix them up, but it just didn't work. This was not a good experience for us and we will not visit again or recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service was very good, if the food was as good as the service everything would have been alright. This was also our first time there and this is the restaurant we choose. We said we should have went to Nandos which was a couple of doors down or we could have went to Wishbone. We wish we could have gotten our money back, we were not pleased at all.
Understaffed. Bad management. No help to servers.
