great good great ambiance great service! love it. will def be back
Always fantastic!! My go to place. Long live Porcini!
Food was spectacular and service was beyond amazing.
Everything was delicious but the creme brûlée was disappointing: the consistency was lumpy rather than smooth. Good job distancing diners.
Great night on the patio! Wait staff - very friendly and attentive!
Beautiful setting on patio, great food, server needs some training
Tasty food with generous portions. Excellent service.
Always good to very good
The food was amazing! We had two appetizers - veal meatballs and tortellini and both were perfection. Salads were great and the entrees (which we had a mix of pasta dishes, chicken dishes and steak) were all superb. It was very busy in there but our server took care of us like a pro. The timing was impeccable- never felt rushed and never wanted/waited long for anything. The four of us agreed it was of the best meals we’ve had in a long time! Love Porcini!
Overall I would rate Porcini’s as average. The service was good but not memorable. The server was knowledgable but the friendliest staff member we encountered was the busser who filled our waters and cleared our dishes. The food was decent, I ordered the veal scallopine which had good flavors but was mainly boring. My husband ordered a scallop and pasta dish which was also just fine. The goat cheese appetizer was very good as was the white and milk chocolate dessert we ordered. They lost me when the bill came and my husbands martinis were $17 each. That seemed pretty steep when everything else was more reasonably priced. Even my wine which was excellent was not that expensive. For any health conscious diners: They are not taking any Covid mitigation steps so if you’re the sort of person who maybe doesn’t want to be in a small enclosed space with a fully seated bar and dining area, this is probably not for you. We were both just basically underwhelmed with our experience. I’m not one to snap judge a restaurant on a single experience though so we agreed we would come back again and try the pizza (one was being served near us and it looked and smelled amazing). Perhaps it will be more impressive next time. But for a first experience…. Meh. I now know why I have never been personally recommended to try Porcini in my 15 years of living in Louisville.
Fabulous service, amazing food. Loved it all, and will be back soon!
Morgan was a great server. Ask for her, you won’t be disappointed
Served an old fashion with a Maraschino cherry…. Vice a luxardo or other higher quality cherry. Not good at all. Also, the prices have gone up dramatically from earlier in the year. Always on our top places to eat, but with the price increases and poor quality choices in their drinks I can’t say that anymore.
As usual food was great! Jill was an awesome server!
The wait staff was extremely professional. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. I will definitely be back.
keep up the good work
Like the new outdoor dining area
Delicious food all around our table and very friendly and professional service.
Exceeded my expectations on the food, service was on par for what I expected, the ambiance was better than I was expecting. Only thing I would have wanted different was not to be seated directly next to another occupied table when over 60% of the restaurant was empty. I would have appreciated one or two tables spaces since they had it.
After being seated we ordered a bottle of wine. By the time the waiter came back to get our appetizer order 45 minutes later, the wine was finished and we were starving. In those 45 minutes, someone came around to fill our water glasses and spilled an entire glass of ice water in my lap. He quickly apologized and handed me a dirty rag to clean up and it was never acknowledged again. I spent the next hour with a wet outfit waiting on food. It seemed like every other table was getting checked in on and we were ignored for the most part.
Date night with Hubby. We sat outside on covered patio. Great ambiance, food and service!
Great atmosphere. The food and service was outstandingly.
Our server and food was great. They were short handed but did a great job.
Absolutely the best Italian restaurant in Louisville!
Awesome as always!
Server was amazing and empathetic to my gluten and dairy allergy. Very friendly and a nice atmosphere.
Went for our date. Were able to sit us earlier than our reservation and inside. Food and service were amazing. But very pricey for what you get.
Ate there with a party of 4. We all ordered different entrees and shared a bite with each other. EVERYTHING was amazing! Filet, pork chop, veal, salmon...all on point. Very good dining experience.
My fiancée and I had a great time. Morgan took great care of us all evening.
Birthday for one of my best girlfriends. Another friend and I took her to dinner at our favorite restaurant for Porcinis because we know the food is always consistently delicious and the service is always excellent.
We always eat way too much, afraid
we might miss out on something.🥙🥗🧆🍤🍣🎂🍝
Food was wonderful! This is our favorite, go to, restaurant!
My husband and I had a late night rendezvous on Saturday night!
We shared the linguine and shrimp! Yum! The spinach salad was tasty too! But, the grand finale was the key lime cheesecake. Wow!!!
Thank you Giavonni. You’re a delight! 😊
Overall wonderful evening. Good, polite service and lovely dinner.
Comfortable, cozy ambiance.
Excellent food. Service a little slow (the new normal).
A little pricey—$40 per person for pasta and salad with no drinks.
We made reservations a week in advance. We arrived when they opened and the patio was empty. Still, we were given the table closest to the road, one of two in the sun, and directly adjacent to steps where servers and patrons came and went. Clearly, the worse table on the patio. There were only four of us, yet we were given a 6-top table. When we asked for a table out of the sun, we were told “this is the table we have for you”. One other large table filled with maybe 8 people a short time later. Four tables stayed empty for over an hour. Ninety minutes after our arrival, all the tables finally filled except for one 4-top. When we left two hours after arriving, the final table filled. Our table was in the shade by then so we could have clearly taken that table instead of baking for an hour. Unnecessary meanness! Barney Fife and his bullet in action.
excellent food...very nice atmosphere, attentive wait staff
Great night with great food. Some of the people in our group are still talking about how good it was over a month later!
The food was absolutely perfect. Our server was fantastic. Great venue.
The new Covid levels mean we will only eat outside where we know the waitstaff will be vaccinated or masked.
I hope all restaurants go to a policy of requiring all guests and all staff to be vaccinated, like New York. This will make a huge difference in where we (and I believe many others) will chose to dine indoors.
Great service and fantastic food. Highly recommend!
