Perfect. Excellent atmosphere, food, service. Complete 180 from Grassa Gramma. Could not have asked for better.
My first experience there was fantastic. My wife and I will definitely go again. For being the caliber of restaurant that it is, I think the prices are incredibly reasonable.
Porcinis has been consistently great for over the last couple decades. It is hard to say about that in the restaurant business.
Outstanding service and food! One of the really great restaurants in Louisville.
Porcini is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is always fun. I highly recommend the brussel sprouts salad!
Can't believe this is the 1st time my wife and I had ever been here. Food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Service was excellent, friendly and fun also well informative. I will definitely be coming back soon.
It never disappoints! Our food was tremendous. From the lamb chops to the pasta, simply amazing!
Porcini was great. The ambiance, the food and the service were all up to my high standards. I'm very picky when it comes to Italian food, and this was pretty good especially for Kentucky!
Great pasta and salads. Great table. Fantastic atmosphere.
Porcini was amazing. The service was 5 star, the food from the appetizers to desserts were perfect. The wine and cocktails are top shelf. This will be a regular spot for my wife and I, and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. If you're reading this and considering it, than read no further, and go.
Great food, outstanding service
Visited from out of town because of open table ratings we chose this restaurant. Food was fabulous. We sat on the patio and it was a very nice experience.
My favorite go-to place in town. Delicious, wonderful dishes, excellent service and convivial atmosphere.
What a miserable experience. We made a reservation, checked in on time, went to the bar because the hostess said that it would be a few minutes because it was packed. We had no problem until 45 minutes later and I checked in with the hostess and she admitted that she totally forgot to check us in and just forgot about us. It had cleared out a good bit but 15 minutes later we finally had a table. Not much else went any better. Several tables had been sat later than us and finished before us!! They “lost”
Our dinner order, too. If the food hadn’t been really good, I would have asked to have the meal comped. The “manager” came over yet again, apologized and sat a giant plate of desserts in front of us “as a way to make it up to us”! Yuck. Too long, too late, and now I see that Open Table wants to ding me for “being a no show”!!
The food was quite good, but was just one of those nights that we should have stayed home.
Excellent food. The short rib and the the Filletto Griglia were delicious.
Was our first visit to this restaurant. Main dining area looked very nice and “Italian,, but our party of two was seated in an area that was best described as an entrance hallway which was completely isolated from the main dining areas. Seating experience for us would keep us from going back. They should just give up the three tables in the small isolated area rather than seating guest in an underwhelming part of the restaurant. Food also did not meet our expectations, and we eat out a lot so we have something to compare them to.
A Louisville treasure... always expect an excellent and consistent meal
The restaurant was so cold I couldn’t enjoy my meal. No complaints on anything else
I recently moved back to the area and made reservations for dinner with my new boyfriend, who had never eaten here before, and as I had anticipated our experience was fantastic. I love this restaurant and is one of favorite date night destinations.
We had early reservations before attending a show, and were the first patrons to arrive at the restaurant. We were seated at a table, but when my wife requested a booth the staff quickly moved us. They were helpful and understanding, but the only downside was that the second table to arrive was seated right next to us in very close proximity. They were four ladies and we got to listen to their entire conversation. Not sure why another table could not have been chosen for them.
Otherwise the service was impeccable and the dinner was outstanding. Damien was our server and he was friendly, prompt and attentive throughout our visit. Salad and dinner courses were served quickly and were delicious. We were even early for our 7:30 curtain, which is not always the case. We will certainly visit again.
Wasn’t impressed overall. For the price there are far better food options.
IF YOU GO ON A WEEKNIGHT IT'S NOT HALF AS NOISY - SOME SAT. NIGHTS ARE UNBEARABLE. ON A THURSDAY NIGHT, WE STILL ASKED TO BE SEATED AWAY FROM A LARGE TABLE- THE HOSTESS SAID THEY WERE GOING TO BE LEAVING, BUT THEY DIDN'T LEAVE UNTIL ABOUT THE TIME WE DID, SO IT WAS A GOOD MOVE. LIVELY PLACE- THE VEAL SCALLOPINI IS TOP NOTCH!
We celebrated an anniversary & were treated beautifully. My red snapper was delicious yet small enough that $38 cost seemed quite high.
Food is excellent as well as the service . Great place to dine
The food was awesome. I had halibut and she had shrimp both perfectly cooked. But, save room for the cannoli, these are better than any you've had. Our waitress was maybe a little beleaguered so, not always right there but not painfully absent. Maybe it was better not to have that second cocktail anyhow.
We loved it and will be back soon.
Had the halibut special. My husband had the veal chop. Neither of us was disappointed. His mashed potatoes were probably the best I have ever tasted. Had great service. Highly recommend.
Porcini consistently delivers: excellent food, ambiance and service. Best Italian in Louisville!
Always wonderful atmosphere , friendly service, delicious food !
We were at your restaurant the Saturday before and the service was excellent! When we took a business associate the following Wednesday, the service was not as it was on Saturday.
This has been a favorite restaurant of ours since it opened in 1992. Highly recommend it. Diverse menu, great service, comfortable dining.
Outstanding. Service and cuisine. Always on the mark.
Graduation night, so added tables made getting around difficult for customers and wait staff. My wife sent back dish due to uncooked rice, then got dish with hard beans (sigh). We love this place but it was not a good night.
Porcini’s has a wonderful vibe due to all the bustling people and wait staff and hip, classy decor! Of course the food is spectacular and the wine incredible! You can really feel the specialness of this place as you enjoy dinner.
Porcini on a Friday night is quite noisy as it is busy and tables are close together. The food is excellent. The fish special is always delicious and Chicken Marsala was very good. Service was good although at times forgetful. Meni options are extensive and so far everything we have tried has been very good. The artichoke appetizer was a wonderful starter.
Perfect modern Italian restaurant. Pasta, seafood, chicken, steaks, etc. Excellent service on a busy night. Food was fresh prepared and served hot. Waiter was very attentive and helpful. Definitely $$$. Dress is casual to dressy. They might even have valet parking.
Exceptional. First time in Louisville and great experience. Every part of the meal and service was awesome. I would highly recommend to friends and anyone visiting the city. Great Work!
Porcini is great. We have now been there two times. Budd, our waiter, has been very excellent both times. The food is great, the atmosphere is great, and the service is even better! We went the Wednesday before Derby and they were really busy but Budd was still really great and we didn't have a really long wait for food either.
Love this place as our Derby week family get together
Best service in Louisville! Never disappoints!
