Very poor service and they were out of every wine we asked for in the menu. Needs updating , server was not in top of it
Food was fantastic and the service was very good! Fun night to catch up with a friend.
Porcini had a high energy feel when we arrived and it remained that way throughout our meal. Service was very good and the food was very good as well. We had eight in our group and everyone found something on the menu that was interesting and met their personal taste. This restaurant consistently has all components for a great evening out; food, service, ambiance all at an affordable price point.
Got stuck in a hallway on fold out metal chairs. Had to remind server after 25 minutes that I had ordered another glass of wine. Appetizers and entrees were great.
Not the usual service we receive. Probably the speediest in and out meal I’ve ever had At Porcini’s. Did not meet normal expectations.
Revisited Porcini's on a whim after not visiting for several years (embarrassingly more of a scheduling issue, no fault of theirs). Our return visit met and surpassed expectations. Porcini's is back on our routine 'go-to' list. Very well done - we had a great time.
Date with my 12 year old daughter. Special because I rarely get to spend time with her one on one. It was her first time to Porcini. Everything was great, and we had a very enjoyable time.
The food was good but not spectacular. My wife’s steak was tremendously over cooked. Service was excellent. Good overall experience just would not spend that much money for food that was mediocre.
One of our favorite places. Always terrific and very tasty.
Always a great place to eat. The only reason the rice was not 5 stars we had a new server that was slow but all good.
A very pleasant experience, food was excellent as well as the service. A special shout out to the Valet, who worked on a miserable evening of pouring rain and provided a valuable service.
Porcini is always been our go to a restaurant for special occasions. So for our 27th wedding anniversary we were looking forward to a nice dinner. The service was excellent as always. After a very good salads we ordered two appetizers of the tortellini and a pizza to split for dinner. The tortellini were ice cold as if they had been played it well in advance before the pizza was ready. We asked the server to replace them and they were clearly taken back to the kitchen and reheated. The pasta was very over cooked and in edible. The pizza however was delicious. For dessert we decided to splurge on the servers recommendation for crème brûlée. The top was not caramelized but very grainy and the custard was basically scrambled eggs. This is very disappointing and I am sorry that such a long standing high-quality restaurant is not being supervised as it should be.
Overall great night. Only note was service was a tad slow. Especially getting cocktails. Food was outstanding and service was very pleasant & engaging. Toward the end of the meal it took a long time to see our waiter.
Service was a bit slow on the patio, but food was good.
Wonderful meal and wonderful
Service. It was a busy Friday
Night but everything was great!
Food was awesome and priced as you would expect for fine dining - I had the Agnello Alla Griglia -
grilled lamb chops, rosemary madeira sauce, sheltowee farms wild mushroom and caramelized shallot risotto, fresh vegetable - never had lamb chops before but they reminded of two perfect little filet mignon "with handles" and I didn't waste one bit. My wife had Gamberi E Risotto -
grilled jumbo shrimp, spring vegetable risotto, lemon garlic sauce - this is where the term "Jumbo shrimp" came from...nice portion sizes and plenty to share with each other as we always do.
We were here for a special birthday celebration and it was worth every penny...not that we could afford it every day but wish we could. They do all the little things right so I am sure they rarely disappoint.
Actually if the noise level was down a bit , it would have been perfect!
We went for a birthday celebration and the staff and food were impeccable and made to order. The dessert selection was excellent. They also have a nice and reasonably priced wine list.
We are from Central Indiana and have driven to Louisville twice to dine at this great restaurant. The food and service have been great and Porcini will continue to be one of our favorite restaurants. To enjoy the atmosphere, we prefer to be seated away from the windows.
We always love Porcini’s. The only issue I had during this last dining experience is that the hostess seated three adults at a table that only really seated two people. There was no room for bread and an appetizer at the same time on the table. The waitress graciously moved us to a larger more suitable table. The hostess should have been a little more intuitive with seating. The food is always consistent and delicious! Will make a specific table request next time.
We loved celebrating our anniversary there with friends. Everything was great. Service was really good. Loved our complimentary tiramisu Will definitely be back
Great food. Excellent location. Personable servers.
Very good food and attentative staff. The facility with exposed brick walls and good street side windows. The outside patio seating looked very attractive and inviting. On a more temperate evening it could be a fun and interesting alternative.
Porcini continues to be our celebration spot -- this time it was my brother's birthday. We had a great evening. Salads ordered included, spinach, Caesar, caprese and the one with warm apple dressing - all we're wonderful. For entrees there were 2 filets with gnocchi which were a wonderful cut of meat and prepared perfectly. There was a carne pizza that was excellent. We also had 2 pastas - linguini gamberi (absolutely outstanding) and another that my sister said was fabulous! Porcini never disappoints - thank you!
I am a regular at Porcini's and dine there on an average once to twice a month. The food is always excellent and the service is always attentive. Their artichoke antipasto is exception as well as the calamari and the mushroom bruschetta.
My party was seated in a breezeway of sorts due to there being limited seating in the restaurant. When we were offered the table the hostess said it was a nice quiet spot however it was anything but quiet!! In fact the noise level was so bad we could not carry on casual conversation.
Our meal left a lot to be desired! My dish was chicken, mashed potatoes, & asparagus in a brown sauce. It was an ok dish - the mashed potatoes were an off color and had no real flavor. The other members of my party had fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp. There was too much parmasean cheese on the pasta which gave it a very salty flavor and took away from the Alfredo. Neither members of my party felt it was palatable.
We brought it to the attention of our waiter who just smiled and said he as sorry. I thought for certain the dishes would be taken off our bill but alas that wasn’t so which meant I had to track down our waiter (as he had quickly moved on) & ask him to take off at lest one of the pastaa dishes, which he did. Ive eaten at porcinis numerous times and alll the experiences have been mediocre but this was the most disappointing. I will not be returning.
This was our first visit . It met and exceeded expectations. We will definitely return and will highly recommend it.
Fabulous dinner and wonderful service for our waiter and support staff!!
We’ve been dating there ever since my daughter went to University of Louisville 1999 we love now we stop by once a year on the way back from air venture
Wonderful menu selection using a wide variety of interesting ingredients.
Outstanding experience on 30th anniversary dinner!
The restaurant was very busy and service a little slow. However, we were patient. I looked around and saw that most tables had table cloths, but ours and two or three others did not. I ask the waiter why the difference and he explained that the other tables were occasions like birthdays or anniversarys. I was offended by this and thought that was really not a good idea. If the propriety want to honor those people a complimentary appetizer or dessert is more appropriate. The table cloth idea gives the appearance that only people who have an occasion are welcome and those others are less than welcome.
We were here for derby week and liked the food and wanted to return when there weren’t as many crowds. We had friends in from Chicago and easily booked a reservation. The meal and service was excellent, I wish the weather was better but the valet took care of our car so no worries. We will definitely be back again next chance we get. One of the best Italian restaurants in Louisville!
We enjoyed a delicious meal and Kelsey was wonderful.
Great food in a romantic setting. We had a date night and it was perfect for that. I had the veal scallopini and it was delicious. Can't go wrong.
Our meal was excellent and the service was impeccable. We have been going to Porcini's for 20 years and have never been disappointed. It is definitely one of our favorite places to go in a city full of good food options.
We love Porcini! The service was a little slow but the delishious meal more than made up for empty drinks. Will definitely come again
Haven’t been back with my wife for over 10 yrs. since we’d moved. We had two dishes that were still on the menu from 10 yrs ago —and, are still fantastic. Congrats on your A+ consistency!
An excellent dinner with dessert! All was so fresh and the appearance of the food was outstanding!
We have never had a more enjoyable dinner with friends than the evenings out at Porcini!
