Porch Kitchen & Bar
Great service at the bar and at a table for brunch the next morning. Enjoyed both the drinks and food.
Porch has a lively vibe with a wonderfully-curated menu. The brussel sprouts are to die for as is the corn muffins. The ribs literally were falling off of the bone. This is a great girl's night out, treat for yourself or date night restaurant. The ambiance is lovely. A must visit if you come to Louisville.
Great place for brunch! So many items looked delicious and everyone really enjoyed what they got. Service was great and the ambience was so cute! Looking forward to going back!
We went here for the Backstreet Boys concert so it was packed. The food was great and our server was lovely.
Great food, service was a little slow.
We stopped in before a concert and had the best experience. No wait, beautiful scenery, great service, and amazing food! Very well priced, too. We loved our visit!
Looking for a nice lunch date. Valet my car for free.. very nice people open view of the street available for people watching or away from the window for more intimate setting.. Really liked this place!!!
Very nice place. The food was delicious, I’d recommend getting the cornbread as an appetizer!
We had a great brunch at Porch Kitchen & Bar! It has a fun vibe, with great decor and open air seating. The menu was wonderful and we all enjoyed what we ordered. Service was great too.
My food was awful. Definitely not what I expect from a restaurant in the Marriot. Service was awesome.
Great downtown restaurant. Open windows make for a fun atmosphere.
Try the Turkey Meatloaf. Excellent.
Food was excellent, service superb! Will return when in Louisville.
Excellent from start to finish! Great flavor profiles well done!
Cool atmosphere, but the food was hit or miss. Some of us loved it, but some of us were disappointed.
It is a nicely decorated place but the noise level is very high. Food was ok, but I don't recommend the veggie burger. The hush puppies were very good, and the Mac and cheese also. Service was good.
The wait staff was EXTREMELY inattentive, the food was subpar and the place will carry EVERY sound made by any person having a conversation and you can't hear yourself think! We got 3 appetizers, (the smoked salmon, hushpuppies, and brussel sprouts) and only 2 drinks. The smoked salmon was a smoked plank of salmon, which had the best flavor out of the apps, but was served with saltine crackers like you get when you you order a takeout salad or soup that you are given for free. The hushpuppies might as well have been store bought hushpuppies because you don't taste any difference from a standard hushpuppy. The brussel sprout's sauce was awesome! Too bad they were on partially cooked vegetables! We had our drinks brought to our table by what appeared to be a manager after we had to wait a while to even see our waitress and finally get our drink order placed. When she took the drink order she asked "What can I get you to drink besides water?" My wife and I both thought "oh good we won't have to ask for water, she will be bringing it." Oh were we wrong! The manager took our app order never to be seen again. She didn't bring any water so we tried to flag her down MANY times as she flew past our table, almost like she was ignoring us. When the apps finally got delivered she miraculously showed up to ask us if everything tasted ok, and we hadn't even gotten a chance to take a bite, so we finally were able to ask for water. When she came to see if we wanted anything else, I had to take a phone call for work, so my wife told her it would be a second. When I got back we flagged her down and told her we were ready. But what does she do, she brought us our check. By this time we were just done with the place and paid and left. We will not be back anytime soon, if ever!
On vacation and was looking for a real fried chicken dinner. Found this restaurant that served it. Great choice. It was delicious!
We had received the wrong drinks. When asked for assistance the employee was very rude and walked out mid sentence.
Our overall experience at Porch Kitchen & Bar was amazing. The food was delicious and a great representation of Southern Cuisine. Our server was a bit sluggish and inattentive but it did not harm our overall experience (it appears like they had several new people in training). I highly recommend Porch Kitchen & Bar to any travelers who want to try some Southern Cuisine while here in Louisville.
There is nothing healthy on this menu. I am sure things tasted great but nothing you could feel good about eating
6 of us met up Friday night for dinner and a few drinks. Everything was great! The food was awesome and the vibe in the atmosphere was so cool. I'll definitely be returning. We had a plate returned because we didn't realize the tuna was raw on the salad and the waitress was so great about it!! My friend even booked a room for the night!
Fantastic food, great bourbon selection, great service and atmosphere!
The grilled salmon was ordered medium and came out medium well, and the baby back ribs sauce was too spicy. The coleslaw was mediocre.
Everything was good. I wish they had more gluten free and vegetarian options. But the food was very good. The service was excellent. It's a little pricey for what it is but I would go back.
Super delicious food and drinks—attentive service—great value
Good! I would go again. Bourbon cake was fantastic
Nice atmosphere and very good food. Prices a little high. Just need to keep the smokers away from the open windows.
Our first time at Porch. We loved the atmosphere. We had a wonderful server. We started with the half order of pork nachos & hush puppies. Nachos were to die for good! I was a little disappointed with the Mule I ordered. It was pricey and in a very small glass. I envisioned a lively libation in a mule cup but that wasn't the case. We split the seafood dinner and finished off with warm bourbon cake, ice cream & coffee. Delicious!
Went with another couple. Service was great. Food very tasty and plentiful. Contemporary atmosphere. Was able to carry a conversation easily with our friends. Would recommend and we will go back.
First time in Louisville and this was highly recommended. Was NOT disappointed!
Awesome place but I thought the cornbread tasted weird...had chunks of something in it and was weirdly spicy. Maybe just wasn’t my thing. Everything else was wonderful, beautiful restaurant.
Must try the hush puppies and enchiladas, very good. Skip the chicken and waffles and get a second order of hush puppies instead.
Burger week was a great value!
We visited Porch Kitchen during Louisville's Burger Week. The burger and fries were outstanding! The double burger was juicy and delicious with tomatoes that tasted fresh from the garden. The fries were also so good. The service was poor. We waited about 30 minutes for our food on a weekday afternoon and they weren't busy. Our waitress had a very flat personality and seemed annoyed to be waiting on us. She also they couldn't accommodate my request of lettuce and tomatoes on the side of one the burgers and she made the comment "I am just the messenger". The restaurant is nice but the music is loud. Many of the walls open to the outside like garage doors so it was actually a bit too warm in the restaurant that day as the temperature outside was over 90 degrees. Overall, I am not sure I would return to this restaurant. Maybe for takeout.
I went for burger greeters super nice, service was amazing, and the feel of place was so nice i would go back there again.
Very cool vibe and great drinks. Very cool place to go hang out and take in the downtown scene.
The food was very mediocre and the service wasn’t good either.
Delicious food in a very appealing setting with excellent (although almost too attentive) service. A tad loud & not inexpensive, but on the whole one of the best lunch spots in downtown Louisville.
Excellence fried checken
Great food and cocktails in a great atmosphere. Great for a group
