Porch Kitchen & Bar
Love this place! Food and service was perfect! Definitely going to visit again.
Food was amazing and so was the service. I had the best chicken and waffles here.
Friendly service
The drinks and the corn bread muffins were the highlight.
Excellent selection of dishes with a modern flair to old fashioned cuisine. I was a Bourbon virgin until I arrived there. I have totally changed my opinion of “brown liquor “ because of The Porch.
While there may have been a weekend menu on the website, I did not see it so the choices were not what was expected. The brunch menu consisted almost entirely of breakfast items and we were there at three in the afternoon. The selections we had were satisfactory but not lunch fare.
We love The Porch. We make it a point to eat here each time we travel to Louisville. Never had an bad meal! We try different things on the menu, but always get the crab hush puppies.
Perfect for a birthday brunch. Food was excellent, drinks were delicious, and I never felt like the wait was too long for anything. Definitely delicious and would absolutely go again.
It was a great time overall. Our sever was not great but that happens from time to time. She was most likely overwhelmed because it was a packed house but really didn’t pay much attention to us.
The food was great as always.
Great cocktails! The Lump Crab Hushpuppies & Brussels Sprouts were delish! Get the fried chicken! Save room for the Bourbon Butter Cake 😋
We were staying at the hotel and had seen good reviews. It happened to be Restaurant Week, so we got a great deal with amazing lump crab hush puppies and bourbon butter cake to share along with fried chicken and cheesy chicken enchilada entrees. Everything was delicious! We will definitely return 😋
Food was alright, but on two separate occasions, the wait staff slammed our glasses on the table. Every time they set a glass down. So much so that we wondered if that was a “thing” they do there. Spilled water twice. Otherwise, perfectly normal experience.
Good price for Louisville food week
I can see why this easily my favorite place and you should too. The friends I had with me were not interested in their Louisville restaurant week meal deal, but I convinced one of them because what she was going to order was one of the 2nd entree choices. I loved my Ahi Tuna bowl. Everything was 11 dollars with 5 dollars spread out somewhere and it totaled 36, but it was easily a 100 dollar meal with my friend’s separate turkey meatloaf meal. Additionally, their dessert option was literally melt in your mouth dopeness. It was a Bourbon butter cake, complete with ice cream that I could only say brought me back to my childhood. It was like the scene in Ratatouille when the food critic was transported back to his boyhood days when he ate it. He cried. I almost wanted to. I felt like it was my 6th birthday party in the Philippines. What a way to celebrate a great night
Slow service on a Monday. Drinks were not prepared at the bar properly. For the price, would have expected something more especially in a Marriott brand hotel restaurant.
Staff was laid back and accommodating. Drinks were a little slow but it was supper time. Food was awesome. Started the roasted Brussels sprouts and then had fried chicken with chili honey drizzle and hummus platter. Chill soundtrack with occasional 80s in the background.
Brunch was fantastic! I had the chicken and waffles and my husband had the brisket mash- both delicious
This is a solid place to eat if you are downtown with friends or family with varied food tastes as the menu has something for everyone. That's its strength and weakness. It wants to be a foodie destination, but in catering to all people it won't quite make the 5 star mark. Food is good but not particularly inspired. For example, the ribs are decent--kind of dry and chewy but meaty and tasty--but they are served with a butter knife when one really needs a steak knife. The accompanying corn muffin was tasty, but I would have appreciated a pat of butter to soften its dryness. (My husband liked his fried chicken dinner well enough.) These are small things, but they add up. The servers were friendly and efficient on a busy Saturday night. The highlight of our meal was the warm bourbon cake with vanilla ice cream.
A Louisville gem for sure! Great food, service and overall vibe!!
The ambiance was amazing. It's a great place to have drinks, appetizers and socialize with friends. Although the entrees sound great, the taste was not. All of us that ordered food were not satisfied. So much so that we left it. It was a waste of money. Oh the salmon appetizer is a small piece of salmon with saltine crackers, not worth the money.
The food was mediocre. I requested extra ketchup four times and never received it. The music was good, but too loud. We could not hear each other. I am sorry because I had been looking forward to dinner.
Great, reasonably priced breakfast. The brisket hash was amazing.
The entire meal was fantastic!!!
There are so many good places for brunch in Louisville. Based on our experience at Porch for brunch, I would not come back. Service was not good and the food was fine, not great. It is a pretty place and would probably be fine for drinks and appetizers.
We celebrated Valentine’s Day at Porch Kitchen & Bar. It was beautiful and delicious! We loved it!
Service was great. Nothing wrong with the food, it was just unremarkable in any way.
We had a great experience. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. When we had questions for our server about the food she was able to give us an informed opinion. We will be returning!
Our waiter Ken was excellent. He gave us a rundown on the special fixed price menu for the evening- no hassle and a good value. Food was creative and well prepared.
EXCELLENT customer service. Everyone was so attentive. Food was great. I already know what I want to eat the next time we go lol.
V Day before a concert.
Our server was wonderful. She recommended the mussels and their oysters. Both were excellent.
The food at Porch is very unique and delicious. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!
Mediocre food, poor service. This is clearly a place for tourists and the convention crowd.
Great place to eat. Atmosphere is perfect, food is delicious. We enjoy eating here.
Food was great! Ambience was perfect!
Great at atmosphere, food, and service. I would definitely go back.
Love the decor
Service was great, pulled pork nachos were good, brisket sandwich was not good.
Beautiful restaurant, good service, good food, price was right. Pork nachos were amazing. Will be back.
Great setting for girls brunch
