Porch Kitchen & Bar
We went to Porch as a group of ladies where I was 'proposing' to my bridal party to have them in my wedding. Megan, our server, covered our first bottle of champagne to celebrate which we thought was incredibly nice! We all very much so enjoyed our brunch menu items. I highly recommend the eggs benedict and the little piggy corn stacks.
Porch is a wonderful place to meet friends, enjoy a cocktail and some food. The hostess, bartenders, and servers are wonderful. A shout out to our bartender Kyle, service with a huge smile. The food was delicious and the ambiance fun. I had the cheesy enchiladas, delicious!
This was my first time at Porch and I had an excellent experience! The food and drinks were amazing (especially the butter cake!) and every employee we encountered was just wonderful. Highly recommend!
Our waiter Ken was over the top wonderful. The desserts were fantastic. All the food was wonderful. Beautiful place. Quiet enough at 5 pm to have a good business discussion. Oh and those nachos with pulled pork! The best nachos in the USA hands down! Incredible!
Exceptional food with more than ample portions. 4 guest 4 different meals, all great. Specialty bourbon drinks are powerful but great
Wonderful restaurant with full bar attached to the Marriott downtown location. Upscale, but not fancy or stuffy. Many patrons were dressed very casually. Enormous lounge just off the Porch in the Marriott lobby, too. Service and food was fantastic, with very reasonable prices. Smallish menu has a variety of choices to please everyone, including vegetarians. A few more steak choices would be nice. Will eat there again the next time I am in Louisville. Don't miss it!
The truffle chips were amazing!
at first glance, restaurant has a cool aesthetic. we were excited walking in. host was nice and sat us immediately. after being seated, several staff members walked by us before we were greeted 15 min later by our server, Tim. we went ahead and ordered our food and drinks together since we had plenty of time to look. drinks took roughly the same time it took to be greeted and food arrived some time after. the dishes were decent but certainly not worth the price point. girlfriend’s side dish was cold but never got a chance to mention it because our server never came back to check on us. the only interactions we had were simultaneously greeting/ordering, delivering drinks and delivering the check. overall an expensive disappointment.
Mediocre experience~food ok, drinks so so, service pretty good. Nothing memorable except for the company.
The Porch staff’s service was impeccable from the hostesses, server, server assistants/bussers, etc. We were well taken care of from beginning to end! Our server, Macey, was a great server, who didn’t have a script she recited, but was conversational and relatable. Coming from working in fine dining, The Porch checked all the boxes and went beyond. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a great night!
Kyle is amazin bartender great service.nice smile...cutest man in the Room
Food was pretty good but the service was horrible. It shouldn’t take 20 minutes to be served a bourbon neat. Especially when the place had about 20 people in it. We also noticed that when we got the bill the price was $3 more per drink than advertised. We were told by the server that when you order a bourbon neat or on the rocks there is an up charge because they give you a 2 oz pour instead of 1.5. I asked how else are you supposed to order your bourbon to get the listed price. He said, “with a Pepsi.” That’s preposterous. Not buying it.
Father’s Day lunch....only slight issue was at check in. There was only 1 hostess that was bombarded with requests all at once. They need to make sure that there are more hosts/hostesses on a busy holiday weekend.
Comfort food! The corn cakes are amazing. Great seating options. Can’t wait to return.
Went to the Porch for Father’s Day breakfast. Had a reservation for 6 at 10:30am. Seated promptly by a very friendly hostess. Ordered coffee and a Bloody Mary. Linens on table were dirty as were several water glasses. Seats full of crumbs. Not a great first impression. Waited so long for Bloody Mary, the server gave it to us for free. Breakfast wasn’t really anything special. Eggs lukewarm, chicken and waffles ok . I’ve had better at Denny’s. Disappointed.
Great food , service
Was outstanding! Amena was our server :)
She was delightful ! The chicken and waffles were fantastic, and the croissant cinnamon roll superb! Great way to start our fun day in Louisville!
Pork nachos best ever!!!! All great!!!
Great place for date night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#
Awesome Louisville atmosphere! The food and service is second to none!
First time here. The fried chicken is amazing! Highly recommend.
Overall good food and service. Price reasonable. Noise level a bit too loud at first but moderated over time.
This place is wonderful! Great ambiance and delicious food! Would return again and again!
Great food, drinks and great service.
Food was excellent!
My only complaint was the bathrooms - not as clean as expected, one stall (of 2) was broken, toilet paper was gone from the holder and there was just a roll sitting on the grab bar and paper towels were in a basket on the sides of the sinks and one basket was totally empty.
Great atmosphere and amazing food! We went for Sunday brunch. The french toast was delicious and we really liked the doughnuts! The fish tacos were good too but not the best I’ve ever eaten.
Food took a long time IO come out
Cute place!! Great food!! Service, not so much. It was evident by server’s attitude & demeanor he didn’t want to be there. We were visiting from out of town for holiday weekend so left an impression.
It was my anniversary and i wanted to go here i reserved a table for 10:45 pm i get there they say the kitchen i close... why would you let me reserve if your not going to be open ...
Nachos and fish tacos were drowned in what tasted like processed sauce, so chips were soggy and tortillas broke. Salad was generic. Not a good value for the price. Music loud, service fine.
My brisket was delicious. The amount of veggies I got with my hummus was ridiculous...huge bowl of hummus and like 5 veggies
We loved Porch! We had the fried chicken and it was delicious.
Great service- good food- able to have an early, relaxed dinner before going to the theatre!
Food was really good. Our server seemed really annoyed to be there though and didn’t really come check on us until we were pretty much done.
Our service was terrible. Someone I assume to be the manager came by and asked if we had been taken care of after 10 minutes of sitting at the table. We finally had a server come by 10 minutes later after the manager took our drink order. Still didn't get drinks, had to ask for them, by which point half the ice was melted in my husband's old fashioned. Quinoa chile was delicious, however my husband's sandwich was nothing spectacular. When we went their electronic server was down, so they couldn't take our credit card payment unless I left my number on the receipt for them to process in "the next day or two." No thanks.
Food was very good. Had the Truffle Chips appetizer, could have included more chips and a little less dip, still very tasty...
PIG was excellent and Salmon dish was incredible. Drinks were very good as well.
Server did very well despite the system problems!
Wasn’t bad. Wasn’t too great. Hotel restaurant. Would prob go back if i was downtown.
The pancakes & green juice were devine but I had better expectations for the eggs benedict & service. With this said, we will return again to try other items & have the pancakes again.
Loved the pulled pork nachos! It was a great last minute dinner date
Great location for downtown people watching. There's plenty of space between the tables, so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of others and eavesdropping on conversations. The menu is wonderfully creative without being pretentious or overpriced. My mom enjoyed the beer-battered seafood and chips, and I love the turkey meatloaf. Also, the crab stuffed hush puppies were amazing!
