My wife and I love Mexican fare.. This is a great addition to our rotation.
Service was friendly and decently paced. No waiting with reservations made ahead of time. The place was well ventilated, clean and safety considerations were obvious. With both inside and outside options, they are taking the safety of their employees and their clients seriously. All employees wore their masks at all times and the QR option for menu and payment is appreciated for minimal contact.
The food is enjoyable and a bit closer to traditional Mexican than the standard Tex-Mex. The price definitely reflects that as well, both in the food and the alcohol (even for the more low-end of the bar), so don't expect a huge amount of food and head-sized glasses of booze for little amount of $$. And be forewarned - when they ask if you want chips and guacamole, they charge you for the guac (even if they forget to mention it). And like with everything else, its higher than you'd expect or used to seeing in other places.
Its hard to say how the ambience or noise level is there, given the restricted seating inside and out due to COVID. However, I can see it being a fairly noisy place with all the booths full, but a vibrant place folks who don't mind the noise level would enjoy.
Parking was not too difficult, though it will become a bigger issue as the summer approaches given all the places around there.
No substitutions. No á la carte items. Tasteless food. Not authentic.
The food was delicious, service was outstanding, and atmosphere was awesome. Love this spot!
Both the food and the drinks were excellent, with fresh flavors and simple presentations. We'll definitely be returning.
Very average food. The menu options are very limited during the brunch hours.
Love the decor/vibe! Fun and delicious food!
Great as always! Awesome drinks, appetizers, our favorites are the chicken and fish tacos, and of course the carne asada!
Delicious Mexican Food.
The outdoor seating reservation was perfect. A heater above the table kept the space at a great temperature.
Service relaxed and slow. We or
We enjoyed eating lunch in the semi-private tent area. The servers were awesome, the food and drinks were good, and the hanging space heater kept us toasty! My only criticism is that it felt like we paid too much for a pretty simple lunch.
They forgot about our bday special request but that was the only bad thing .
Enjoy the ambiance and the margaritas are very good. I think that the restaurant had an off night. Food came out cold and they seemed a bit understaffed. Salsa is good. I would go back for drinks and maybe appetizers only next time
Having been craving mexican food for a few weeks, we decided to eat at Poquitos. Meh! They are trying too hard. The food was interesting, but not very good. Too much pickled onion on our nachos (the vinegar taste was overwhelming) and the salsa tasted like it was from a jar. The service was below average and our cocktails were not made to our order (salt on our margarita when requested not salt, etc). Not impressed!
I have eaten at Poquitos a few times. This was the first time since the pandemic hit. Their outside pods consisted of plastic tarps with sides. The table with benches was a little small, especially if you have long legs. Quite uncomfortable. There are tables with chairs, but ask first. Being outside by a busy street, beware of the noise if you are sensitive. I love Poquitos food and the ambiance inside is wonderful. It's a great place for a get together. If you like Margaritas, you won't find much better than here.
Food was just ok. Wouldn't go out of my way to go again.
Great outdoor set up with excellent service and food.
We take all our friends/family here when they come to visit. Best place in town and best tacos we've had yet!
Great food and service. Table was ready for reservation.
This is our second time and the food was really disappointing. I had the three taco trio. The beef was mushy. The chicken tasted like egg salad and the pork was so over cooked I couldn’t chew parts because it was super hard. We also paid $12 for a frozen rose and there was such a small amount it the cup it was way over priced for what we received. We ended up leaving our almost uneaten food and went somewhere else for better food and drinks.
Delicious food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I sat in the bar and was perfect
Brunch at Poquitos was a great experience! We ordered the Breakfast burrito ,one with chorizo and the other with bacon. My taste buds were very pleased. And there are so much, it filled me up for the rest of the day. Well, that and dessert! The Churros and chocolate flan torte were to die for. Just the right balance and sweetness. Will definitely be back to sample other goodies.
Food & drinks was decent, we sat outside and heater was helpful. Overall it was an ok experience, nothing spectacular.
Parking was a head ache, there was no parking at street and in the building. We parked across the street at 6 oaks and ended up with a ticket, even though we parked at retain parking - not cool!
The service is always great here and the restaurant itself is GORGEOUS. They did a great job of bringing that same ambience to the outdoor tents in accommodating outdoor seating during these COVID times. However, I have never been impressed with their food. I’ve tried different dishes and it just never hits the spot which is a bummer. Their tacos are okay, but the tortillas are always stiff (on the bright side they are generous with the meat and toppings). Their chips are delicious. I have also tried the red enchiladas and was not impressed at all. BUT I will continue to come back to this place simply because of the location, the beautiful environment, and the excellent service.
This was all outside in a tent. The above table heater did not put out much heat. Toward the end of our meal, another group was sat and given an additional heater at their feet. This was never offered to us during our dine.
Also something that my husband ate caused him to have an allergic reaction which continued to worsen as the night went on. It began with congestion, then headache and stomach issues. We are unsure what caused it at this time.
The outdoor dining set up was awesome... we had a heater under the table and one over the table so we were toasty warm. We also loved that we had our own tent. Food was good but a bit spendy.
Wonderful ambience. We had to sit outside because of government orders but it was cozy and warm and the food and drinks were amazing.
We love the food, bar, and amazing service at the Bothell Poquitos! Colleen and all the servers and chef staff serve with love and care and safety of all patrons. Beer, queso, street corn, carnitas, and flaky fish tacos keep us coming back for the quality and comfort!
Outdoor dining indoors.
The fish tacos were amazing. The sauce had a little kick to it and tasted delicious. My son had the Carne Asada and loved it. The server was amicable and helpful. We will be back.
The limited menu is still delicious!
Brandon is a great server and we had a terrific time!
Great restaurant in Bothell. Authentic Mexican food, not your typical Tex-Mex. We love going here. Great décor and ambience.
Service was friendly and prompt. Little slow for a Saturday but given the current climate most places are more quiet. I’ve been when it’s busy and it can take longer. The food and drinks were great. Highly recommend the carnitas.
Great food and service.
Staff was great & food came out quickly! We had a large table, so very impressed :)
Food was horrible for the price. Compared to Cactus restaurants, not even comparable. Salad was awful. Burrito was bad. Corn pancakes are good. Queso looked like soup. This restaurant needs to step it up. Service was pretty bad too.
I adore Poquitos, I recommend it to people of all ages! The food is always great, and the service is always fantastic. I have never had a bad experience. This is definitely my go-to spot close to home!
