Poquitos - Bothell
Favorite spot in town!
We had an early dinner. The food was great, our server was prompt and pleasant, and we enjoyed ourselves.
Servers we more interested in upselling than taking care of customers . The only time they came to check on you is to upsell you on something. If you wanted anything different it’s a charge.
Service was surprisingly awful considering it wasn't that busy. Food sounded amazing on the menu but was very blaned.
Great location, friendly staff and quick/efficient service.
Delicious food and great service! Some interesting vegetarian options.
Margaritas were excellent. Large portions on the main dishes. Slow meal service but overall good experience
Very good fish tacos. Good service. Limted happy hour beverages
Tough to recommend because food was good for the most part, salads were a little bland and light on flavor
The carnitas were very tasty. The crunchy meat was really good. The guacamole didn’t have a lot of flavor. They have two sizes.....a small (a cup) or a large (which easily feeds 4). Salsas were just okay. I would have loved to have had some Pico de gallo. Also, I personally like to go to Mexican restaurants that warm their chips. The Sangria was good.
Fantastic brunch outdoors with a great table in the shade. Margaritas were tasty as were the entrees. Our server was so pleasant, fast and friendly service!! We were a party of 5(including a two year old). Table was ready when we arrived. All was great. Will return soon as this was a very relaxing and delicious dining experience!
Always excited to try new dining places! Your restaurant was recommended to us by a good friend. We enjoyed it very much!
The food at Poquitos is delicious! We had great service and would highly recommend this restaurant.
Best place for mexican food!
Everything was great. The only negative is when the restaurant was busy, hard to hear ones table companions.
It’s very cool looking inside but it was incredibly loud. The food was not good and this was our third try... our made to order guacamole was clearly in the fridge for several hours and just had that flavor to the avocado that you can’t get rid of. It was sad because the first time I went to Poquitos the guac was delicious. Pork Carnitas were so salty and I love salt. I had a party of seven and no one enjoyed their food - even my son who had the mac & cheese. Sad to say but we will not be returning.
Food was very good. Noise level was very loud. Service was okay. Tri-salsa didn't arrive with the rest of the appetizers. Waitress said the chips, which we already had, needed to be heated. After that the service improved.
Met friends from out of town. They enjoyed the drink specials and the trio sampler plate.
We will return.
Our Dental office recently had a celebration at Poquitos. Great energy, the staff was very nice and helpful with some dietary needs of some of our people. Overall it was a very good experience.
As always, the food and service was excellent.
Very safe to eat for a couple Celiac diners.
Great food, not bland, great flavors. Good margaritas. A little pricey.
Restaurant is really loud and service was not great. Food was okay but I won't be back
My last visit to Poquitos was much better than the first. The vegetarian options seem to be much better than the bland beef that I had last time. The vegetarian stuff is actually very tasty and I have gone back again for that same dish. I've found the bar staff to be friendly and helpful. Will go back.
Tasty food and nice ambiance. Friendly but slow/infrequent service.
This was our first visit and we were pleased. Interestingly nice decor. Friendly staff. Service was excellent with just the right amount of attentiveness. It wasn't a full house at the earlier dinner hour so noise was not an issue and the food came promptly.
Two of us had the carnitas which I would recommend sharing if you can't take it home, especially if you are having an appetizer. Our son had the carne asada which he enjoyed. He did request medium rare, but it came out medium. Not too overcooked to send back, but it's always disappointing when you request a specific level of doneness when they ask and it's not what you receive. The corn appetizer was tasty and plenty for three.
We look forward to returning.
I love that there's a Poquitos in Bothell now and that they have food my picky kids will eat. That means my husband and I get to eat some variety and the kids get cheese quesadillas and mac & cheese. Delicious, kid friendly, great decor. I love this place.
I had the flautas this time and loved them. It's a large dish, especially if you get an appetizer or tend to snack too much on chips beforehand. I could've done with 2 instead of the 3 that come with the order; or shared if my husband was more keen to eating vegetarian. :)
Good parking options too. Not having to worry as much about this is can be a deciding factor sometimes.
Noise level was awful. It was a strained to carry on a conversation with my friend.
While the food and service was excellent, the noise level was so loud and continuous that our four-some could not hear each other and thus we could not talk. This venue seems to be slanted towards young people and late 70’s folks like us should not bother to come.
Great food and service! Love their happy hour items! My favorite is their wings and the al pastor tacos!! Delicious!
Very delicious food and great atmosphere had reservations quick service.
This was our 2nd time there and the first time was great. Sat in the bar and had great service and food. Our 2nd visit was not that great. Went to celebrate my husband’s bday and had a party of 6. Service was slow and food was not great. Drinks were not good either. For the $300 we spent, we were not satisfied. Probably will not return.
Food is actually improving here. Have been several times in the past and I definitely can tell that they have made updates. The service was great and their drinks are very good as well.
Carney Asada was excellent - a nice steak, not a strip steak!!
The manager and host was exceptional. The food was really good as well. We really enjoyed the experience
We loved this food! The service was great and they have vegatarian options that are really tasty!
Great Restaurant Addition to Bothell. A liitle too noisy on Friday nights but we survived. Chips and Salsa should be complimentary. Our waitress, even though being very busy, kept her composure and did an outstanding job. So too, the Support Staff. We'll go back again. The chef has a different twist in cooking Mexican dishes. The prawns were fantastic.
First, we aren't picky, critical customers by nature. We wanted to love it, and the first time we went there, we did! It was excellent! That's why we came back for our anniversary dinner. This time, though, was a very different experience. We were put way in the back in a space that felt more like a no frills pizza joint at a table for 6 (when it was just the two of us). We eventually changed tables to make it less like a cafeteria feel, but still in the same overall space. Then, when we got the chips, they tasted like they were poured out of a bag from a grocery store. Seriously. Then, when we got our food, my quesadilla with chicken was really outstanding. I'd order that again in a heartbeat. But my wife's enchiladas had a really weird tangy edge to them that went beyond what you'd usually taste in enchiladas (we've eaten Mexican food our whole lives), and the chicken was overcooked and dry. She left more than half of it on her plate, and shared my quesadilla. The servers were terrific--very positive and helpful. The food and the ambience...not very good, and frankly, really a disappointment, given that we'd chosen it for the place to celebrate our anniversary. I'm hitting the "not recommend to a friend" button with reluctance. Probably won't be returning, which is a bummer, being locals.
I had three tacos with rice and beans and chips/salsa.
My wife had the same.
This was our second time here. Couples night out. The food, service and overall restaurant is a great experience. The only distraction is it was a bit loud and at times our table conversation was drowned out by all the other chatter. Still a great place to come and we will come again.
