   Definitely get the carne asada that was fire 🔥. The yucca was good but I wished the sauce was in a cup on the side. Maybe ask them if they can do that when you order. Beef tartar was gas too. The pupusas were amazing. The lengua and the oyster mushrooms. But personally I enjoyed the mushrooms more. Because I also enjoy mushrooms so a lot of good flavors. The offrenda drink is really good as well 🤙🏾

   Delicious, well-curated dishes with a variety of farm-fresh, imaginative ingredients. Fabulous cocktails, welcoming, gracious service in a fun, lively neighborhood. I have been coming to Popoca since the beginning,g and always have been pleased with everything as well as finding parking nearby with no trouble. What a wonderful establishment for Oakland.

   Always a delight for us and our 4 year old - food is amazing, service is attentive but not overbearing and noise level is lively but not deafening.

   A bit over hyped new Salvadorian restaurant. Food was OK, but not special. Nothing really tasted amazing. The hype and ambiance suggested a more elevated experience and that was not the case.

   Great take on traditional Salvadoran food with modern techniques. The "Pollo Campero" doesn't taste like the namesake restaurant, but it's some of the best fried chicken I've ever had! The wood fired pupusas are amazing! The drinks are inventive with a Latin American / Salvadoran theme. If you've never had it, definitely try the Salvadoran quesadilla (sweet cheesy bread).

   This is our second visit but we brought our friends to try this amazing restaurant. Cocktails were on point and the service was attentive & friendly. How many pupusas can a person eat? We loved each and every variety. We also had the best fried chicken in the world! So many other dishes but those were the stand outs. Can’t wait to return.
