   Excellent food and service. it was impossible to reach a human being at the restaurant in advance to make an adjustment to our Rez,. That's my only complaint.

   Excellent! I came by here on a solo date right before a comedy show. I'm so glad I stumbled on Popi's on my Google search. I'm a seafood fanatic. I had the warm half crab, 6 oysters, and steamed clams. They were amazing. Half crab was marinated in a buttery herb sauce. Oysters were wonderfully fresh. The clams were worth the money. There were many clams in that bowl. I was immediately greeted when I came in. T, one of the owners, sat me. I booked a table but I was offered a more quiet spot at the bar if I wanted. I accepted the option because no one needed to see me inhale that food the way I did. Lol. I will be back.

   Fresh and delicious seafood. Had the hamachi crudo, crab louie, grilled oysters, and half dungeness crab and they were all very good. The fries were also very good and crunchy.

   I went here based on all these good reviews but was extremely disappointed and underwhelmed. To start, the server was kind of strange and barely wanted to talk. She was acting as hostess too but couldn't be bothered to even greet people as they walked in. Very awkward to walk in to a restaurant and have her standing right in front of you only for her to stare blankly and not say a word. No "hello" no "welcome", nothing. She then came to the table to take our order. Again, just kind of stood there awkwardly and didn't initiate conversation. It's like she had to pause and think for 20 seconds before she asked "what would you like to order?". So there was that. And then the food started coming. We ordered the calamari, the grilled salmon, and the fish and chips. The calamari was terrible. Hardly any actual calamari which were tiny pieces anyway. It was mostly just pieces of batter that all fell apart. At least that we can attribute to cost cutting, I guess..... The most disappointing was the salmon. It was actually cooked perfectly, but had no seasoning at all. Not even salt. Also not a great pairing with the side of "fregula, mushrooms, spigarello" that they just kind of put melted cheese in but again not well seasoned. Probably would've been better without cheese too. Cheese and fish? No Fish and chips were just ok. So overall very disappointing and an awkward experience with the server. Certainly not worth $120.

    Intimate, tasty, crab bisque was great. Good oyster selection.
