Hi! If you're looking to secure a table at one of our busier times then we do recommend booking.
However...our bar atmosphere is very well looked after and we invite walk-ins all day and night, so feel free to put your phone away and head straight in. NO BOOKING NO PROBLEM! :)

The history behind Popcorn, is something of a love story. Should Shakespeare still be alive, he would have had two muses’ apparent, right before his eyes.
Ben, and his cuddly friend, Steve, have been well known around Chester for many, many….. many, years. Yep, we can never really get away from them, no matter how much that we try.

Perhaps it is just due to their inbuilt likeability. It is something you don’t get often in people. And god knows, these two have been trying to get it for some time.

In the mean time, they have been building up, and running, some of the best and greatest bars that Chester has ever seen. Bringing a new life to a city that was crying out for it.

    Just not my thing I’m afraid . Not made to feel welcome , it seemed chaotic , even though we had booked to eat ( I was told the food is good ) we were given just a drinks menu , no staff readily available to help so we just left .

    No food how annoying I never read to tthe end of my email, from open table... as I booked at Popcorn which I never seen no notification about kitchen closure .as we came last year we really enjoyed the food and the menu was still the same!!! Popcorn needs yo be more percific on their website, totally ruined mothers day as then we couldn't get in anywhere

    Food was lovely, was just a bit disappointed that the menu online was not the current menu and I was looking forward to the vegan fish and chips but couldn't have it. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

    Arancini balls were amazing. Babaganoush - pitta needed to be toasted and it had come straight out of the fridge so was too cold. Tacos and sea bream were delicious. Service was ok. Loved the look and the feel of the place. We should have asked to move as we were right by the door and it didn't close properly so there was a draught.

    Went to Popcorn in a quieter night for Chester than normal - and were invited by the hosts to sit in The Gold Room. Amazing cocktails, an almost private area with not that loud music that makes it easier to have a conversation with friends. Really good attention from the waiters.
