About POP Champagne Bar & Restaurant

POP Champagne Bar & Restaurant is a warm and welcoming place where friends gather for good times and where dates enjoy a romantic setting. POP is located in Old Pasadena in a historic building that retains many of its original features — brick walls, plank floors, an open- beam ceiling, and Batchelder tiles.

POP’s dinner menu starts with appetizers like jalapeño tuna tartare and beer-battered vegetables, and goes on to include entrée favorites such as champagne chicken, a morel risotto, and filet mignon with truffle mashed potatoes. It also includes salads, cheese and charcuterie platters, and small plates such as pommes frites and a seasonal soup. Our much-praised dessert menu presents classics such as crème brûlée and a soufflé du jour, as well as inventive temptations such as a Meyer lemon tart with homemade basil ice cream. All of our offerings are made in-house, including our breads.

This place is definitely not cheap, but definitely worth it. I thought the portions would be puny but we had a bunch of leftovers. Their champagne selection is stellar and their hosts/hostesses really know what they're talking about when it come to the bubbly. I highly reccomend their truffle mac and cheese and the Cookie & Cream dessert.

We went for their bottomless mimosa brunch, they we're excellent. The orange juice is freshly squeezed! That was the cherry on top of all the yummy food they have. The service was as great as their mimosas and food. 🍾👏💕

One of the best meals I have had ever! Starting with the appetizers and on through dessert! I would travel back to Pasadena just to enjoy a meal here again. Well done guys, well done!!

The weekend brunch is amazing. The salad and dessert bar was filled with lots of small bites and flavors. The actual meals that we ordered were excellent.

Liked the overall setting of the restaurant. Ambiance was good however in some spots of the restaurant there was dimmed lighting and then some very bright spots. The food was great and so was the champagne!!! Overall a very good place for a first date, girls night out, bridal party dinner, date night, etc.....

Nice ambience and since it's fairly small, the noise level is a little less than most restaurants. However, the service and portion size would prevent me from returning. Their $15 pizzas are the size of a single piece thin crust from other restaurants. Their beer tap was broken and they didn't have much of a selection anyway so I ended up with a can of Guinness that was barely cool, definitely not cold. Maybe that's how others like it? Now, they obviously have a huge selection of champagnes. Dessert (strawberry crepe) was very good and actually big enough to satisfy.

Innovative and flavorful food combined with a nice variety of wines available by the glass (including sparkling wines). The waiter, Spencer, was very good at recommending wine options. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

This is one of my favorite places - for food, for drinks, for desserts! I always suggest this place to friends and family! Everything I have tried here, I am pleased with - love the mac and cheese, pork belly, various soufflés, crepes. Champagne flights or cocktails are good as well! Just go and try this place! Have fun! :)

POP is a really interesting place. We had a series of "small plates" , bubbly flights, etc. and finished with dessert. Relaxed, excellent service and food is very good.

My husband and i enjoyed our evening at this restaurant! I ordered the tuna tar tar and champagne chicken both were delicious! My husband ordered the shrimp and fillet and thought the fillet was chewy, but other then that everything was good! We ordered the creme brûlée and Irish car bomb cupcake for dessert and loved them! The champagne selection was awesome too! Overall we had a great night, and will be returning in the near future!

We have always had a good experience at this establishment. The staff is friendly and they have great offerings on their menu. The service was great. My wife had the sliders and I had the filet magnon. We also enjoyed the popcorn chicken and the deviled-egg appetizers. My wife had a glass of bubbly and then we had a bottle of the melbac. All was great. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Went here to celebrate my friends birthday and we were at the restaurant a total of 2 hours. The waitress we had checked on us twice in the time we were there. I had to get up and ask a different waiter for water and had to get up again to ask for the check. When we asked where our waitress was the hostess had to make a phone call and ask. Really wanted to like this place but I wouldn't recommend

Visiting from Las Vegas. Enjoyed POP so much one night (our first in town) we decided to stay an extra night to return again. We were very pleased we did. Once again, we had great food and delicious champagnes (and other sparking wines - check out the available flights, we missed them the first time) and we had excellent service - again from John. Looking forward to returning when we are back in Pasadena.

Service was slow although our waiter was overall nice. He's just too busy with different tables. Our drinks and food came much longer than an average wait time for most restaurants. Food was not bad but we have to return the champagne clams cause they were not fresh. The desserts looked appealing although we didn't try any cause we were tied of waiting. Unfortunately i don't think we'll come back to try them next time.

Wow. Really. Visiting from Las Vegas and just picked POP based on the menu. We had the deviled eggs, kale and farro salad, beer-battered vegs, slider trio and duck pappardelle. Topped it with their soufflé of the day. Everything was terrific. John was a great server! We really couldn't be more pleased.

No doubt we'll come back just to eat here again and try more of the menu. Highly recommended.

The food was good but I do have to say I wasn't impressed with the service. It did take awhile for our waiter to take our drink order. When he brought our entrees out it was very quick and the plates would hit the table like he was rushing to drop them off. He didn't check up on us to refill our drinks so we just called it an early night there and didn't order another round which is disappointing since they have such a great champagne list.

The service & Food was very good. The menu was simple but a good variety of main course dishes & the desert selections were creative & very good. The wine list is extensive with a good selection of speciality mixed drinks.

A very pleasant experience with easy access to Goldline Station.
