Our spacious, traditional bar features open fires, free WIFI and a relaxing ambiance, which welcomes both dogs and children. Traditional tourist pub experience. Staff very friendly. Great if you are a dog lover. I'm not. Food basic, but it was what it said on the can. No surprises.

A very friendly and professional employee, who dealt with a sudden and unexpected personal emergency extremely proficiently, was in charge of "meet and greet" when we arrived. Our table server was attentive and we didn't have too long to wait for our food to arrive. It was perfectly cooked and presented, in particular my steak which was cooked just as requested. Very nice surroundings and ambience.

Tables not cleaned , smoking in back yard where it clearly states no smoking, no one addressed it Was like a fast food restaurant as food came within minutes, ice cream was melted by the time we got it , obviously stood waiting before served Overall disappointing, compared to the last time we were there

Very enjoyable evening in a lively pub. Live music as well. Staff very approachable and friendly. Food unashamedly pub type grub but tasty and good helpings.

Meals are always good as usual. Booked outside table did give us one with heater but forgot to tell us you didn't get table service as you do inside until asked 8pm by this time. Did get offered a table inside. Service is perfect once inside. I do think you should expect the same service inside or out but at least let you know you have to go inside to order. All good in the end.

Food was hot and order came quick. Jess waitress was outstanding and very pleasant. Nice atmosphere in pub.

Had to order at bar as outside dining. Food was delivered timely to us outside however food portions very small on the Cajun chicken and fries the other food ham and egg / fish and chips / chicken burger average. Chips served on ham and egg and fish and chip dishes were under cooked hard and uneatable. Table was eventually cleared with another 4 tables at same time. At no point were we asked if the food was ok and took the full plate of food without even asking why the plate was full. Very disappointed and food is quite expensive £16-£20 and was not worth it

We have eaten here a handful of times when we visit Pooley Bridge and it does not disappoint. The food is delicious and served beautifully. All the staff are really polite and friendly and always ready to help.
