OUTDOOR DINING AT WEEKAPAUG INN.

Offering casual ambiance, embracing comfort and sweeping water views, the Deck is a welcoming respite for guests and neighbors. Open afternoon through evening in the summer months, we invite you to relax on our restaurant porch and enjoy a delicious cocktail or bite with friends.

Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows will be charged $5 per guest.

All reservations are weather dependent and in cases of the restaurant needing to close, reservations may be cancelled.

All parties larger than 6 guests may be seated at multiple tables.

We were extremely disappointed with the service. First, we were stuck at probably the worst table in the restaurant by the door to the building even though many other tables with nice views were available and the restaurant was largely empty. The waiter at first seemed to be rushing us through our meal, asking for our order within 2 minutes of sitting down. We chose just to order drinks and a starter salad at that point. The drinks took about 20 minutes to come. We finished our appetizer salad before they arrived. After that, it was extremely difficult to flag down our server to order our meal. Once the entrees came, we needed a few things but could not get our server to come back and check on the table. He didn't come over until we'd given up and eaten what we wanted from our entrees. We'd been hoping to get a second drink with the entrees, but again, felt completely ignored and never got to place that order. Maybe it was because we weren't Inn guests, but the level of service seemed shockingly poor for the level of the inn.

I’m 60 years old and have never written a negative review of any place I’ve eaten or stayed. This will be the first. Let me preface this message by saying I love the Weekapaug Inn. Have had family and business colleagues stay there and they’ve always spoken highly of it! Perhaps Saturday night was an “off night”. 1. Eating along w/ us on the deck, we’re 3 dogs. Upon seeing one another - they began barking endlessly at one another - a lovely scene for my wife and I enjoying a rare night out. ( I don’t blame the dogs - perhaps Weekapaug should revisit its policy for dogs on the dinner deck. 2. We were seated, with a reservation, when ALL the tables were empty, overlooking the lawn, not the pond as requested. We did get enjoy the scenic sounds of unhappy children, being ignored by their parents- so they just cried endlessly. It was lovely. 3 Come meal time - we had appetizers consisting of Quonnie Oysters - both my wife and I were sick by the time we got home. ( Note - my wife and I enjoy oyster all year round. Never had issues. 4. Our meal - well the portions were small and my wife ordered a salad and got French fries. 5. We decided to head down to another part of the lawn, so we could actually see the pond - and order a drink. One waitress said “ I’ll be right back to take your order” - we never saw her again. The best part of the evening was the valet drivers - good kids, courteous and professional. As mentioned, I hold the Ocean House and Weekapaug Inn in high regard - we would sometimes go to either to celebrate special occasions or to entertain business colleagues. Needless to say - we will not be doing so again.

Such a beautiful place! Had a very nice dinner. Our waiter, while polite and attentive, had some struggles.. brought soup out with the entree and did not seem to know the alcohol options at all. While not a huge issue, at a place like this you expect staff to be well versed on all aspects of of service

We had such a lovely dinner, but there was some confusion about the inclusion of sides. Under the sandwiches and entrees section, the selections are fries, chips, or salad. I ordered the swordfish (under the sandwich and entrees section) with a salad and was charged $6 for it as an additional item on the receipt. When I asked the waiter, he said only the fries were included. It is not specified anywhere on the menu that there’s an up charge for the chips or salad. I’m not even sure the salad had dressing on it - the vegetables were very fresh so I didn’t mind.

Definitely a classy-casual New England waterfront dining experience. Picturesque, tranquil view of the pond where you watch the clammers and small boats. Fine adequate menu - very good value! Try the shrimp and grits… wow! If you’re hungry, get their hamburger… if you’re not, get the tiny dry swordfish:-(. Good service, a bit rushed but don’t let that rush you. Bottom line: If you want an upscale, “hideaway” in a signature RI hotel, try The Deck. P.S. The lawn at the Weekapaug Inn with their Adirondack chairs reminded us of Castle Hill in Newport… in miniature. 😎
