Two very special but uniquely different places are the inspiration behind Pompei’s. The spectacular rustic beauty of Cortina perched high in the Alps of northern Italy underpins everything we do. And the eclectic cool chic of the world’s most famous beach shapes how we do it. Just as the dramatic vertical pale peaks of the Dolomites contrasts with the cosmopolitan marine landscapes of Bondi, our faith in traditional artisanal hand-crafting cooking contrasts with our creativity and innovation to produce delicately balanced healthy dishes. It’s our tradition in evolution, continuing our journey guided by fond memories of my mother’s Italian home cooking. They say there’s two sides to every story - so stay a while and hear ours. We might be from Cortina, but we’ve made this place our home. And both places define us. We’re Bondi made Italian.

Pompei's is right in the heart of Bondi, and it's value for money! Pompei's offers a wide variety of authentic Italian dish which are very pleasant. Our request of sofa seats is met. A tall server brought us food with hospitality. All made it a great experience for our first-time visit to Bondi!

Good restaurant with quality food and a great atmosphere. Very busy on a Saturday night so it was a bit of a struggle to get drinks but i would definitely return.

Food is amazing, bunch of noisy blokes next to us was a bit annoying but not a deal breaker. Worst bit was that I noted on my booking that it was for a birthday, and specified it was for my mothers birthday - then, during our dinner they brought out a cake and sung happy birthday to the table next to us, but not for my mum - was pretty embarrassing for me!

I’ve had many good experiences at Pompei’s. So, I don’t want to be mindlessly critical. However, both my wife and I ordered the most expensive veal main course. Neither of us expected a schnitzel. It was so disappointing. The crumbed topping was soggy. It was the worst schnitzel I’ve had in decades.

Seb and the team are absolutely amazing! Best food in Sydney, wholesome real food cooked with zero industrial seed oils, only using butter and olive oil! Have been coming here for 15 years and love every mouthful!
