Loved it. Food is spectacular.
I have been coming here for years. Friday's meal was the best ever. The special short ribs were melt in the mouth delicious, as were the pork chops. Peter, as always, is a perfect host. I will be back again soon.
Love this restaurant as a place to eat before going to Lincoln Center. We had early dinner and for the most part love the meals. The egg plant parmigiana was a bit overcooked.
Had a quick dinner here before a show at the Met. The atmosphere was cozy and the food was both delicious and generous in portion. The service was excellent and we appreciated the efficiency considering we were headed to a firm event after. Will definitely be going back!
Pomodoro has good, fresh food prepared very nicely
There is quite a varied menu
The ambiance is nice, but as a “ cozy” restaurant, it is quite noisy
I felt the prices were rather high for our meals, but I realize most of the restaurants have raised their prices considerably in that area
Sadly, the worst meal I've had at a restaurant of this supposed caliber in a long time. The pasta was broken and mushy, the sauces were not flavorful. The chicken special was not tasty and and the chicken was poor quality.
The food was excellent, the service and attention were excellent. Only good things to say about our visit!
Never in many years, has there ever been an issue or problem. We love the staff and Peter is very attentive when on hand. The diners are a mature, well behaved group, always. We've always been treated with respect, in English and /or Spanish, the attention is 100%
We had an excellent dinner for my husband’s birthday. Pomodoro is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. We highly recommend it!
As always a great meal with great service!
Solid, well made Italian food from plain to quite fancy. Kind servers, big portions. Hard to go wrong here!
As always, delicious food and wonderful service. We will return soon.
We love this place, but prices keep going up and it seems lately that portions may be shrinking. The food is as terrific as it has been for the. many years we've been eating here.
Rather ordinary. But on the good side. The Caesar was not a Caesar. The prosciutto wrapped shrimp in scampi was good but the carbonara failed because it was too dry and the salty meat had not been cooked enough to release the flavor.
I’m sure it’s fine if you order right and I would go back if I lived upstairs.
This New York treasure still has it. Family owned, perfect red check Tablecloth Italian. The kind of place that’s all too rare today. Had appetizer of burrata so good and served with arugula, figs and prosciutto. Main was lamb ragu with pasta and partner had the special veal chop. Everything was tasty and well prepared and presented. The owner came over several times to make sure we were happy. Wish I could talk them into opening in Washington!
Service and food always excellent. Great location within walking distance of Lincoln Center.
We have been a client of this restaurant for many years. It was always the perfect spot to go before the ballet, the opera, or a play at Lincoln Center. Peter continues to make sure all is right with the service, and the food. The food is always very well prepared and presented. Good Italian food and reasonably priced.
Excelente servicio. Muy rica la comida.
They always treat us well at Pomodoro Rosso. Food is tasty and portions are generous. We shared a nice bottle of Prosecco for our New Year ‘s Eve toast. I ordered the delicious kale and beet salad for a starter and eggplant for my main. My husband had the braciole with mashed potatoes and vegetables. All of our food was well prepared.
Excellent food and service!
Pomodoro Rosso is a terrific restaurant: delicious food at reasonable prices, wonderful ambiance, and outstanding service, They treat you like family! We love it!
The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was excellent! We found this by chance on Open Table but will definitely go back when I am in NYC!
Tables are too close together - not comfortable at all. Food is good Italian; service very good.
Great Food, Great service!! If you want an authentic Italian meal this is the place for you!!
Can always count on this restaurant!
Wonderful staff, warm and inviting dining room. Our group of 7 enjoyed the calamari and arugula pear salad for apps. The fresh pastas including bowties, fettuccine and raviolis were well prepared. Desserts topped off a very delightful evening. The service was attentive and friendly. A neighborhood gem, for sure!
Fantastic!!! Can’t go wrong here!
As always, everyone in my party enjoyed a delicious meal. We keep coming back.
The staff was on top of all of our needs and the food preparation was top notch. Great flavors, and healthy portions. The management/ owner??? was EXTREMLY aware and left nothing to want. Great job!!!
Thank you for the great experience while visiting Manhattan.
Excellent! We totally enjoyed it!
Holiday dinner with a friend
Last minute booking on open table and what a treat ! The food is great , the wait staff warm and friendly , the bread omg the bread ! Huge portions
Had a great time at Pomodoro. Took our daughter who came home from graduate school. Food was excellent in quality and portions were large. Service was fabulous would highly recommend.
Our table was a bit crowded but the food and service were very good.
We were running late, stuck in traffic and after calling they accommodated with a later time slot, no hesitation at all. The food was excellent and superb service!
We've been coming to this restaurant for years. Great food, wonderful staff.
Good, basic Italian food in an unpretentious and friendly atmosphere. And I could hear !
On holiday from UK. Ate here twice for dinner. Loved the ambiance, food and service. Will definitely return when we return to Manhattan.
Great food however the wine list is very expensive!
The worst food ever. My chicken Parmesan and pasta in red sauce tasted like fish. The chicken was hard like it was old. My sisters lobster was so over cooked you couldn’t even chew it. Then the waiter condescendingly says that’s the way lobster is and your just used to it. Really?!!!
