Nestled in downtown Los Gatos, Polenteria serves up Italian cuisine, that is Celiac safe.
We are a small 22 seat restaurant, that is very intimate. With a European feel, many of our guests proclaim that they have been whisked away to Italy or France. We love that!

Many accolades from the SF Chronicle, and the Mercury News as well as Eater SF hail Chef Yvonne and her team at Polenteria for being on the cutting edge of the Gluten Free Movement, and more importantly providing a safe space for those with Celiac to dine without hesitation.

We are a small restaurant and therefore we do have a strict no show- cancellation policy. we need 24 hours or more. Please be considerate of this.

A few months back, my family and I discovered Polenteria when we were travelling through the area and searching for gluten-free options. We have been longing to go back, and the perfect reason to return presented itself when we began looking for a pasta place to dine at for our daughter's birthday! So, despite having to drive two hours there and two back, we made our reservation and were not disappointed! The food, service, and ambiance were perfect! We highly recommend the restaurant and look forward to returning!

It was our first time there and enjoyed the brunch. Excellent service and portions made it a great value. Food was delicious!We look forward to returning for dinner.

Great place for great food. We are always on the lookout for Gluten Free options for eating out. This place is totally GF, and it shows the work they put into their menu. Started our meal with the Arancini and Meatballs to share. Arancini was crispy and gooey, yum. the lemon sauce was complementary, but the Arancini were swimming in the sauce bottom of the bowl, drizzle or separate would have been preferred. Will ask for that next time, I will get them again. My daughter had the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. She actually got two sandwiches because it was the end of the loaf and the slices were slightly smaller, so they gave her two whole sandwiches instead of sending out one. One was really plenty, but we did appreciate the thought. My wife is the Gluten Free eater, and she has never had such a vast menu to chose from. She was finding it hard to pick just one item. We were there for lunch, so we really want to go back to peruse the dinner menu. she ended up having the Crab Cake Benedetto, she enjoyed them very much. Been a while since she has had a crab cake in a restaurant. I went with the Italian Skillet, very tasty home made Italian Sausage. It was plenty of food and quite tasty. I enjoyed my breakfast and ate every last bite. We are looking forward to the next time we can go for dinner, plenty of dishes to try.

Our first time here and we will definitely be back. It’s so small and warm and comfortable and the food was great. The service was outstanding as well. A real gem!!

Literal perfection. We made the pilgrimage from San Francisco to Los Gatos for their touted 100% Gluten Free Menu. And it was TOTALLY worth it! I can't wait to go back. The menu is divine, and satisfying. And we were pratically treated like family, by Yvonne, the owner/bartender/baker, her son, and our waiter. Thank you Polenteria!!! BRAVI!
